    I think the reason this show is not doing so well is because ABC is promoting it wrong. They're promoting it as if it were some steamy romance show, which it not.

    Once again...lots of trouble being grabbed by the episode. I am not connecting with the characters. I did find myself interested that Jane is related to the little girl telling her not to open the suitcase. But that was about it. Sadly....it didn't command my attention.

    It's not that Jane has the little girls necklace, that little girl is her grandmother before the little girl mother died she stated, "Keep this in the family." Hence Jane wearing the necklace (That's her grandmother.)

    Hmm, she kept saying her Grandmother gave her the necklace and the little girl who received the necklace was noted as the only survivor, so I assumed the little girl was her grandmother.

    I think it goes a little further than that. I think the network is forcing the showrunners to pull back too much on the horror show bits (the more interesting elements) and consequently the show doesn't have the strong identity that would solidly pull in an audience. (a la American Horror Show.) I think the network wants to have its cake and eat it too. 666 is programmed on the female demo soap night, so it's trying to hang onto that audience and pull in the AHS show. They need to let the showrunners pick one and go for it.

    Just an ok ep... some good plot development - Jane might be related to the ghosty girl (and seems absolutely fine that she is seeing ghosts)... I can't really out a finger on it as I do like this show, I'm just not feeling as invested in the characters like I think I should be, making me feel somewhat indifferent to the show overall. I also keep thinking that even though the show is trying to have a creepy factor, it's hard when there are shows like AHS that really have the creepy factor wired down and maybe the fact that it's on broadcast network it can't take it as far as AHS can...

    Jane probably has not put two and two together yet about the necklace and her relation to the girl. This is a great show....but like all new shows sometimes it takes many an episode to finally catch hold.....Sometimes you have to wonder if Gavin who presides and seems to run things may also be a puppet for the hotel. I don't think he is the big kahuna of the Drake. He is ONE of the big shots but I think there is group of people. I can't stop thinking about that picture of the council members seated around the Dragon in basement. A secret society of a sort. The council needs new members and they must of the same blood of the original members. Hence Gavin wanting Henry and using Jane to get him. Maybe some of the other members are ESP girl or her grandmother......the writer guy....and unfortunately the poor souls that pass through the Drake to be used such as the Obituary girl, etc etc.This of course is just my opinion..Henry may be groomed by Gavin to possibly take over the Drake....also the guy that stole the box he might be someone that was able to escape the Drake. I guess the problem that this episode poses is that Gavin was not on top of his game .....there were things happening that he was of unaware of such as the danger to Olivia....the Drake was running the show sucking in the dead bodies, axes holes in walls ..the Drake is alive..possibly a portal to hell...okay I am scaring myself this morning.
