I also thought it started off a bit slow. I have a bad habit that if something doesn't hook me right away, I jump ship. If I stayed for 6 episodes of the god awful CW's RINGER last season, I'll definitely give 666 the same treatment. I thought it was okay for the most part with the elevator scene also scaring me a bit(I did not see that coming).
Ituning gd it. Maybe it wasn't as amazing as it could have been, but with these types of shows, what matters is equally what's under the surface and this show is teeming with possibilities. But I enjoyed it on many levels and I'll definitely be tuning in.
I liked it! It was good but not the best pilot ever I'll definitely keep watching. Not as creepy as American Horror Story, but i like the mistery and the cahracters a lot. Gavin and Olivia are just great. Period.
Finally I know what the show is about. Kind of a evil Melrose Place. As such considerably more interesting than Melrose Place. Love Terry O'Quinn and Vanessa Wlliams though they don't really feel like a couple so much as business partners. Some predictable stuff. Some not. Definitely worth programming my DVR. (Though most Sunday's I can watch live.)
My mother called to let me know that it (a) was NOT her cup of tea (which I already knew. she doesn't do horror. :-) and (b) I'd probably like it. :-D I'm sure the only reason she watched was because she loved John Locke. She watched 3 more seasons of Lost than she wanted to because of him. :-)
I give it a couple, if I like characters. Then I'll stop and check back in about episode 6 or 9. That's usually when tweaks start to make it on air. If I still don't like it then I surrender. If I like a character I'll watch through those early episodes. (I liked Walter on Fringe (hated that pilot) so much I watched 7 or 8 eps and wound up hooked on the story.)
It didn't blow me away as it started off a bit on the slow-ish side for me, but it finished well. It definitely felt a lot like "The Devil's Advocate" movie from what I recall.... I'll give it a few more eps before I render final judgement to keep on the watch list
Love it. Demon deals – cool badness but no hell hounds (frowny face). Glad to see Vanessa Williams. I will be back to watch next week. Can’t wait to see what happens. I’m so used to watching Supernatural the demon deals on 666 excite me.
I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. It was not bad and quite enjoyable but I felt they gave away too much. I'll give it some more episodes, mainly because I love Terry O'Quinn and Vanessa Williams together.
I liked this a lot more than I thought. I'm giving it the full 6 episode treatment. I love Terry. He does creepy so well. Vanessa needs to up her game though. I need some Ugly Betty diva and less Desperate Housewives persona. As a Supernatural fan, I'm loving the demon deal aspect. But I hope the Special FX get better. That wall of souls was horrible. I don't like the apartment managers. But the girl who was stealing stuff has my interest the most, go figure. My Sundays are so packed.
I enjoyed it, and I'm surprised that it didn't get a higher viewership, but Sundays have fierce competition all night long! Couldn't DVR enough, lol...
I really enjoyed it a lot. Much more than I thought I would. I have seen some people saying it was boring, but I did not feel that at all! I connected right out of the gate with almost every character; granted, the cast was amazing, so half of the work was done, but i ended up the hour badly wanting to know more about each one of them. Terry O'Quinn was the awesome we all know and Dave Annable was also very good, completely different from the Justin he left in this timeslot 2 years ago. Also, Rachel Taylor was surprisingly good, she gave a terrific performance. The supporting cast was also very good, I liked the Brian guy the most, quite interesting. Vanessa Williams is also good, although she shoud up a game a notch to match Terry's. I am quite sad the ratings were not there now, because I really liked the overall feeling of the show and want to keep on watching!
I also Loved the Dream sequence then we saw her dirty feet and it Blew me away, lol....
so u read the book?...tell us more bout the book...how different is it from the tv show?... give us spoilers...who dies...who lives...how does the book end?....is Locke really the "Devil"....spoil us, lol....☺....
It was ok. Not the best, and neither O'Quinn nor Williams impressed me particularly, although I love them both. Will give it a couple more eps to see where it goes.
Fianlly got around to watching this Pilot. I'd heard some bad things, so would putting off watching it, but I'm glad I gave it a go. It's quite enjoyable to watch... just a shame that it's probably going to get cancelled.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
It started off kinda slow, but then it improved. Vastly differently from the book (which I read yesterday and I loved), but that's okay. It works.
ReplyDeleteI'm in! Looking forward to next week. I liked how she thought she was dreaming and actually hadn't.
I was pretty bored tbh. I'll give it another try before I make up my mind.
ReplyDeleteExcept for the part where Louise almost got crushed by the elevator. That scared the crap out of me.
ReplyDeleteI'll watch next week but, so far, not real impressed.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was pretty good, looking forward to next week!
ReplyDeletei have a 5 episode rule with new TV Shows where i give it 5 episodes and if i dont like it by then i stop watching

ReplyDeleteI got bored part way through and took the dogs for a walk. I may try again but if I don't get around to it before episode 2 airs, I'm probably done.
