Wait, why is Alan Dale's character called Spencer AND Decker? He was called Albert Spencer in Storybrooke.
ReplyDeleteIt seems a very good episode. I hope we can see more Snow/Ruby friendship
ReplyDeleteYES!An episode evolving around Ruby!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love Ruby! Cant wait for her episode!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, this is going to be a great episode. Love Ruby! Seriously, why does it matter that Charming was not born a Prince, he's married to royalty now, so suck it George!
ReplyDeletea ruby episode !! can't wait, i love her
ReplyDeleteI do not know how it will work in 'ONCE UPON A TIME', but Charming can even be shepherd, but as he married a princess, it can be prince anyway.
ReplyDeleteAs Regina had no real royal lineage when she married Snow's father - King Leopold - She became Queen.
Works that way with royalty in Europe today. I hope the writers do not fail with it.
And with that I do not see how King George could threaten David / Charming. Once Charming will always prince, even if the King George think Charming title "prince" is due to him.
Ruby centric episode! Yay!
ReplyDeleteAnd as for our Prince, first, he proved himself to be the best prince material possible many times, second, he's married to SNOW (who's royalty herself!), third, you'd think people actually put more faith in Charming, whatever his origin is, than evil dethroned George! I mean, come on!
He's a royal by marriage come on Gergen give the man a break! Poor David.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the point is that, since Regina was still Queen when Charming was King, maybe his title actually comes from George's kingdom. He is still a prince because he is married to Snow, but the one with the actual power would still be his step-father, maybe?
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to know, since Once has never been very straight forward as to how the various kingdoms actually interact.
You go King George, let's get Cinderella next.
ReplyDeleteUnless Charming, has married with Snow ahead of people like 'James'.
ReplyDeleteRemember that Adam and Ed told that Cora had lied about the death of Lancelot?
So Lancelot comes to save the situation because he married Snow with Charming 'the shepherd', with Ruth watching before she died, and in this episode we find out Charming real name...and he's still a prince cause at first marriage, with Snow, he married as pastor and I believe with his real name
Looking forward to more on Ruby - it was one of my favorite fairy tale twists. And I wondered if Charming's real identity would come out some day.
ReplyDeleteWondering if we will get more back story on how Red became the wolf. I thought perhaps she was born that way but I just watched the last episode again (because it was amazing) and when she says to Gold, 'Must be the Wolf thing', it's like she's implying something to him. Like he should know about it. Maybe I am forgetting but I don't think we every saw Rumple interacting with Red in FTL? Did we?
ReplyDeleteYay for a Ruby-centric episode! About time we saw more of her, after all she's a series regular!!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! This sounds cool! Can't wait! :)
ReplyDeleteUgh, George. And technically, with his marriage to Snow, Charming *is* a prince. And he's been a pretty good leader so far, so why would this shake things up in Storybrooke? Yeah, people might be angry and hurt, but he's been pretty helpful.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really good!
Except Cinderella married in royalty, just like Charming...
ReplyDeleteSorry! That was sarcasm.
ReplyDeleteAh, got it. LOL, I suck at figuring out sarcasm on the Internet. Always have!
ReplyDeleteI loved this Werewolves!
ReplyDeleteNo worries! I'm terrible at reading (and apparently expressing) tone myself xD
ReplyDeleteYes, that's strange.
ReplyDeleteWell Ruby's grandmother was a wolf too, she's just aged enough that she is too old to change anymore but still has the heightened senses.
ReplyDeleteSo it runs in the family.
Try using this smiley expression: :P
ReplyDeleteIt's useful. ;)
Phucking Werewolves...SMDH.
ReplyDeleteThanks--I <3 emoticons.
ReplyDeleteWasn't Grandmother bitten?
ReplyDeleteCool! Sounds great!
ReplyDelete- A Ruby episode. Hell yes!
ReplyDelete- "Decker – aka King George –threatens to expose David as a shepherd, not a prince, and not fit to run the town as sheriff"
So what. They're not in FTL anymore and no one should give a sh*t whether David is a prince or not.
I love Ruby/Red-centric episodes. I definitely can't wait.
ReplyDeleteActually it depends on the type of monarchy that FTL runs in:
ReplyDeleteJust because you marry a princess, it does not automatically make you a prince. It can go three ways:
1. In some monarchies You need to have a child, who would be legitimate prince, which would make you a lord regent
2. In some monarchies you having a child would make the child a prince and do absolutely nothing for you.
3. You marrying a princess, would make you successor to current king, making you a prince.
So if George is playing the whole "ha ha I cursed Snow she could not have had children with you" kind of thing and IF the monarchy in FTL is the first or second type, George would have an argument.
I am guessing that's the point: George spends the episode threatening David with his knowledge only for the town(most of it anyway) to still put their faith in him, showing that they do not care about royalty and all the laws that George so furiously holds on to.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that's what it is. I'd like to see the residents of Storybrooke start to reject the restrictive, oppressive caste system of their former home. Furthermore, this is a good opportunity to examine how the curse and its subsequent lifting has changed the people of Storybrooke and their beliefs about certain things.
ReplyDeleteAnd Hell, its not like the plotline getting solved this way(Town still liking Charming and not caring about his royalty status) reverts everything plot-wise since Charming still has to deal with idea that Snow was cursed and by george to never have children and the ideas and assumptions Charming could make from that.
ReplyDeleteDavid is doing a pretty good job as acting sheriff,i don't see why the townspeople will care one way or another if he is or isn't *the* prince...
ReplyDeleteAnd i can't wait for Red!!
on that note, what happened to Cinderella and Thomas? They're not in the 2nd season so far... :( same with August, Nova/Astrid, Sidney Glass, Abigail and Frederick!
