  1. bah.........not the best synopsis. I wana see 2.03 so much and 2.05 with Whale.

  2. Isn't that what she should have done when he tried to torture someone and got two innocent people banished or killed?

  3. Belle's relationship with Rumplestiltskin doesn't look very promising if she keeps trying to change him.

  4. I agree. I dont understand this beaty and the beast story. Beast wasnt a killer, he was just a young selfish prince. Rumpel is a bad guy, a killer. I don't understand why Belle is with him. For me, they ruined the fairy tale. Anyway, I love Rumpel as a bad guy (but not as Beast)

  5. I can understand why she'd want to. Belle is a good person.

  6. Yeah, and she knows deeeeep down inside he's got a good heart

  7. Well deary!

Belle must she the good in him........its somewhere.

  8. Yeah, she wants to save him from himself and save everyone else too. The reason she went with Rumple in the first place was to save her homeland.

  9. So. No current FTL then?

  10. So, Captain Hook and Rumple?... That should be very interesting! I wonder if his wife will turn out to be Wendy...

  11. They have compiled him with 'a beast' in general (which has Biblical - devil implications), the dark one is like something that is both dead an alive (when he becomes the dark one he appears 'zombie' colored in the past of FTL), he has dark sorcery/sooth sayer (he sees the future), his personalty as Rumple is also "impish". So his character has a lot going on.

Belle in Disney's version stays with the Beast, because she can see through his darkness, because he keeps saving her life, proving that he can love or have compassion. Additionally Bell's name is within the construct/similar of his son's Baelfire (sounds like Bell Fire)...so there's something going here with 'fate' and relativity.

Additionally in Disney's version, the song "Bonjour" plays to the idea that Bell is knowledgeable (she reads a lot) and that she is a "strange" and "funny" girl, so Once Upon A Time writers might put a spin on her character too, since we actually know very little about Belle's past.

Bells in theology/philosophy tend to symbolize things like the warning off of bad spirits, heaven/the sound of Angels, commemoration, or even death.

It may suggest then that Bell is his voice of reason (his conscience), but she could also be the death of him...

  12. I see it more as she wants to bring out the good that she knows is in him, much like Bae.

  13. This is the episode I'm most excited about, for many reasons.

  14. agreed, but what's the cost of saving him?

  15. I wonder if Rumple's wife wants to be saved. Didn't someone say that she left him? Perhaps she left him for the much hotter (sorry, Robert) Captn. Hook and he initially thinks that she was kidnapped...

Oh, poor Belle, won't she ever learn? Rumple has to stay evil for many seasons to come for the show to go on :)

  16. Won't make me happy unless there's some "Regina bumps into Captain Hook" somewhere in that episode. But it isn't a bad synopsis. Bringing Rumple's wife back is an indication we might be getting closer to his son as well.

  17. The way its going i bet it'll be a heavy one!

Belle will make a great tinker!

  18. Well I think she's going to be meddlesome. But it's all Hell's Bells to me (;

  19. From the title, I'm guessing that Hook will make his appearance as the Crocodile was one of Hook's adversaries... and "Rumplestiltskin tries to save his wife from a band of pirates"?... are they referring to Belle, or Baelfire's mother?

  20. It's like drilling for oil offshore... deep deep down.

  21. Lol,yeah,deeep!!!!!

  22. Ya! I think one of the knights fighting in the Ogre wars said that in front of Bae and Rumple confirmed it later in the episode. So I think you could be right that it might be she left him for Hook!

  23. "Belle threatens to leave Mr. Gold if he doesn't change his ways"

Yeah, that's more effective if she doesn't come right back like she did in the premiere. At this point, it's kind of an empty threat.

  24. Agree...this sounds like a story line that's going to get very repetitive very quickly.
