ReplyDeleteI think they must be having flashbacks.
ReplyDeleteMust be, but then I thought she said in an interview that she had the four episodes for the season that she filmed. who knows. We'll see I guess.
ReplyDeleteSo someone on Tumblr pointed out how 5-20-10 is the combination for the old lab Walter and Belly used down in Jacksonville and that it's number Walter uses for all his combinations but that he can't remember the significance anymore. Surely no mere coincidence.
ReplyDeleteyeah that is true, hmm maybe she filmed some extra footage for these eps.
ReplyDeleteThat's honestly like the only thing I can see here. How is that possible? Some kind of flashback, maybe?
ReplyDeleteObviously it' s Peter in revenge-mode but I'm wondering which fringe event it'll be this time. C'mon let's use that dna-specific killing thing. Boom: Observergeddon over.
ReplyDeleteRight!! Totally, I was just watchign Bishop Revival last night and I totally thought the same thing. But then even in the episode Walter was effected but not Peter and even though they aren't biologically related its been said that alts are like 90% similar, he should have been somewhat affected. I wonder if it will work the same way for the observers and be selective or not
ReplyDeleteWeird - I had to check and of course there was a FRINGE episode on exactly May 20, 2010...I wonder if this is just a coincidence because it is a significant episode in the grand scheme of the show - it's Over There pt 2 of the season 2 finale...hmmm any thoughts on this?
ReplyDeletethat was the episoded where at the end before they go into the Orpheum Belle checks Peter's eyes and looks at him and "says your holding up" there are other times that walter has also checked on peter like when they first remet and the first thing he did was check his health... Maybe this has a tie in.
ReplyDeleteYes! Keep the Fringe events coming.
ReplyDeleteI think the "guest" star aspect of these press releases have been vaque and not very accurate. Seriously Eric Lange's character from 5x02, the guy who plays Windmark, and the guy who played Edwin Massey should have been listed...So although I do think in "Origin Story" we could see some flash backs, I don't expect to see her again until maybe the end of the series, UNLESS the buildings that have been disappearing are being displaced in the Red Universe and they were able to revive her....
ReplyDeleteThey've used some variation on the term "game changing" so many times this season it's almost lost all meaning.
ReplyDeleteI always thought that Peter might have originally been a clone of Walter in some other time line...
ReplyDeleteIMO it again homes in that William Bell, despite helping them in that episode, is still the problem, as like Walter accused Bell of, he helped Walternate with everything from the Shapeshifters, to guns, and even later hinted from Nina that William Bell's design signature is all over the Machine(s).
ReplyDeleteBecause we see Bell's and Walter's viewing devise and because of the 5x06 episode title, I suspect the Red Universe may come into play...but I also think the whole Amber time line is Bardo and that Peter may return back to his corporeal time lines we left behind at the end of season 3.
William Bell might be the reason for why the Observers came to 2015 of all possible times they could have come back to, which we also know we might be dealing with a time loop, since September had come back to attempt to change something that had "already" taken place....
Additionally Over There pt 2 is about "Olivia" switching places and Peter's FAILURE to recognize the difference, which IMO is part of what his experience in the Amber Time line and getting in the machine to begin with, is for...to prove himself worthy (and possibly to gain knowledge)
Another possible facet is that it could also relate to cortexiphan or the cortexiphaners (in the Amber time line they just kind of went their own way after "Worlds Apart" with no explanation to the viewers)
I also had some other thoughts in case this related to other number-titled episodes:
There are two other episode titles featuring numbers that come to mind....
6955 kHz (relates to locating buried machine parts, similar concept to Walter hiding things...So your right it could be a combination to unlock something or locate something) and Amber 31422 (about Rose brother TWINS "trading places" to take care of family, which parallels Olivia's arcs and resembles Simon's sacrifice for Etta. Note "6B" = ROSEncrantz: loving the wrong person that causes destruction/time displacement, acceptance of death, and letting go. Note: To "Alice" Merchant of 6B, because of the possible Alice in Wonder land reference relating to episode before this)
This episode could be about disconnection and/or death as 52010 is also an "error code" (think machine overload)
