  2. Elementary is a decent procedural so that's good news. At this point, I'd say that Vegas is a one-and-done show like A Gifted Man was last season.

  3. No surprise at all since they are the two most watched shows of the new season.
    Good news for CBS.

  4. That is good news I love both of these new shows! CBS is doing well with their freshmen class. Only one dud so far and it was not that bad of a show either.

  5. I wonder if Vegas could turn into something similar to Blue Bloods for CBS....
A show that has good overall viewership, but skews old. I think its numbers are similar to Blue Bloods first season, albeit BB got their ratings in the Friday death slot....

Personally I don't find the acting or writing as compelling as Blue Bloods, but Vegas seems like a good pairing with Blue Bloods if CBS cancels CSI: NY this year.

  6. It would be acceptable on Friday but it's not good enough for the post-NCIS spot it holds. That's why The Good Wife was pulled from the same time slot. CBS also has a history of not being shy about giving the hook to shows with borderline ratings and shows with plenty of viewers but low demo numbers. On top of that, CBS already has a solid lineup of shows with low/borderline demos like CSI:NY, The Mentalist, Blue Bloods, Hawaii Five-0 (it has taken a real dive this season), and The Good Wife. With all of that in mind, I'd say that the odds are against Vegas. (Ugh, sorry. That was an unintended pun.)
