OMG !!!!!!!!!!! No , it can't end like this , I should'nt have watched it , now all I can think about is monday !!!! Love to see caskett like this, some tension is good but just for a few minutes lol. I absolutely want kate to support him, and to see them make a new step in their relationship Caskett 4ever =)
in what world would Castle's "team" be allowed to investigate him? They'd be considered too close to him in the first place! This is a "filler" episode and let us hope the next ones are closer to what we've gotten since September :p
I really hope this is 3XK's doings... Don't know why, but i have a feeling it's him behind all of it(remember he pulled a "look alike" in his first appearence)...
So intense! I like that too, a good balance between fun and serious stuf! But I´m starting to believe 3K is framing Castle, he says it´s not him in the picture buying the jewellery...
I agree! Like the Captain who is so by the book would ever allow them to investigate Castle. She would give that detail to another team to carry out the investigation, and arrest if need be..
Okay, new theory. Someone is framing Castle. And it's like a cop or ME or something, so they are pretending to think he did it, to draw out the real killer??????? Added bonus to this (slightly made up) theory, explains why the team is still on it?
I agree with you,Nicolas! I really hope this is 3XK's doings... Don't know why, but i have a feeling it's him behind all of it(remember he pulled a "look alike" in his first appearence)...
Because their job as detectives is to follow the evidence wherever it leads, no matter how much they dislike where that takes them? I fully expect we'll see them fighting hard to prove Castle's innocence, but that doesn't mean they can ignore hard evidence first.
Well, from what I see it´s not about suspecting... it´s about following the evidence, and looks like there´s some: 1- fingerprints; 2- a picture of him buying the piece of jewellery found with the victim; 3 - a finantials proof that he payed that piece. That´s all we see in that SP - so, as detectives, they go where the evidence leads them. Where do they say they actually believe he did it?
I think I was actually holding my breath, during that clip... That is INTENSE.
Not sure where all the incredulity is coming from, though: they're homicide detectives. They don't get to ignore hard evidence, no matter how good a friend the suspect is. And arresting Castle doesn't mean they really think he did it: it means the evidence is too strong to ignore until they get some explanations and, hopefully, a different suspect. I really look forward to watching our team band together to clear Castle's name.
Their job is to investigate said evidence, not just blindly follow it down an illogical path and give up. They arrested him for murder. That doesn't make sense to me and it shouldn't make sense to them...unless...please see new improved theory that this is a fake to draw out the real killer.
I'd love to see that be the case: after all, we were promised 3XK would turn up again sooner or later, and this would definitely be a fitting kind of vengeance from him!
Who says they've given up? They haven't even questioned him yet. Of course they'll keep digging. But if fingerprints, bank records, video surveillance and even hints of motive and opportunity all point at the same guy, they have to at least bring him in. They can keep hunting the real killer with everything they've got, but they still have to follow protocol in the meantime.
(Interesting revised theory, though! That would certainly be an intriguing twist: convince whoever built the frame that they've fallen for it...)
Not sure how I feel about this episode...I'm kinda nervous... I mean, I know it will definitely end up not being him for lots of reasons, but I'm still nervous... :/
Thank you. This is a, um s-uh, rationally implausible scenario, both that they can believe that Castle is a murderer and that they haven't been recused from the case because of their closeness to the aleged perp, Castle. I'd go so far as to say this is an act of shark-jumping.
Come on. In what world would Beckett be allowed to do her job without having an actual police partner with her? The entire premise is unrealistic so you can't apply realize to the show now. Just enjoy it.
There is a difference between arresting a high profile person for murder and bringing them in for questioning. IMO They passed the "we're still investigating" phase when they slapped on the cuffs.
Yeah, but this is a sneak peek...We haven't seen what happened before this.Maybe when they found his fingerprints at the scene they did question him,for an alibi and so on, but they didn't really believe he did it, it was just protocol. And then with the new evidence, it looked like Castle lied to them the first time, not to mention the fact that the new evidence(what they uncovered at the end of the clip, but it's not explained in this clip) could well not be the circumstantial type. And maybe it's just me, but however much I trust a person, I'm not naive enough to think that they would never commit a murder.Under the right circumstances, most people would be capable of that and as police officers, I'm sure Beckett, Ryan and Esposito know that too. That, and, they don't really have a choice in the matter.
I wouldn't go so far to say shark-jumping. Castle is a procedural after all and all procedurals are going to have an off episode now and then. It's the nature of the beast.
I'm saying, that as a TV watcher, even if they showed me Nathan Fillion as Castle standing over a dead body holding a bloody knife and failing to give me a just cause of why he was there, I would still think this was a silly, redundant plot and that no way whatsoever did he murder someone and do it in such a bad way as to get caught by the cops.
What I always liked about Castle was the meta of it all, TPTB usually acknowledge that we as an audience understand how crime procedurals work and that acknowledgement is what makes Castle smart, this throws that out of the window. For me that is an error in judgement, unless, see secondary theory.
I, as a viewer, know that Castle didn't do it, of course. Because the show is called "Castle", he's the lead character, and so on... But the point of this episode isn't to make the viewer think Castle committed murder. It's to test his relationship with Beckett, the guys, and to see how they react. I doubt it would be something like "Castle is accused of murder, no one believes him because of the evidence, he is cleared, everyone is happy". The team will have some doubts, but they will try their hardest to prove he didn't do it, cause no matter how much they trust him, it doesn't change the fact that the evidence would get him convicted.
let's remember a good quote from Castle back in 01x05 that went something like: "you have the ending..., you just have to put the story together with all the facts". So I feel like the writers want us to enjoy the journey of this episode of how Caskett grows closer, but yes, hopefully w/o too much distraction on how rational or logical the setup is...

Does anyone else hope/think that Beckett is only "playing along" with the police in believing that Castle is guilty? Considering how long they have been together and even before their 'relationship' she would have trusted him without hesitation. Maybe if the guy framing Castle believes that Kate doesn't believe Castle then his plan is working. PLUS seeing the photos of the next episode and knowing that Castle and Beckett are smiling at each other gives me cause to believe I might be right.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I love Castle but I think this is ridiculous. It's hard for me to watch this and not roll my eyes.
ReplyDeleteOMG I can't stand the look in Castle's eyes I think someone framed him or something
ReplyDeletewow, that was intense. can't wait :)
ReplyDeleteNo no no no no no no no no no no no.
ReplyDeleteNo.
OMG SHIT JUST GOT REAL.
ReplyDeleteWtf? Beckett's expression breaks my heart!!
ReplyDeleteOMG !!!!!!!!!!! No , it can't end like this , I should'nt have watched it , now all I can think about is monday !!!!

This makes me sad :(

ReplyDeleteLet me quote Kate Beckett: 'You think?'
ReplyDeleteSo intense! I like that too, a good balance between fun and serious stuf! But I´m starting to believe 3K is framing Castle, he says it´s not him in the picture buying the jewellery...
ReplyDeleteI think so too, he's the only one who wants to get back at castle (that've we heard of)
ReplyDeleteAnd the frame job looks very good, like he did on 3x06
I'm with you. This is just..nicer word for stupid. Why would they ever actually suspect Castle?
ReplyDeletePlease Kate trust in Rick!!! we wait for 4 years don´t break up so soon
ReplyDelete"This is just..nicer word for stupid"
ReplyDeleteHow about "rationally implausible?" That's about as gently as I can put it.
a castle is heartbreaking to think that your friends and do not trust the kate ... at first thought to be a joke ... what a joke!
ReplyDeleteI agree! Like the Captain who is so by the book would ever allow them to investigate Castle. She would give that detail to another team to carry out the investigation, and arrest if need be..
ReplyDeleteGood point about procedure. Although, Gates is the one person in that precinct whom I'd believe would buy Castle as a murder suspect.
ReplyDeleteWHO THE F*CK HATES CASTLE SO MUCH TO BE FRAMING HIM LIKE THIS?
ReplyDeleteLol,yes she would, that is why she wouldn't want them near the investigation!
ReplyDeleteOkay, new theory. Someone is framing Castle. And it's like a cop or ME or something, so they are pretending to think he did it, to draw out the real killer??????? Added bonus to this (slightly made up) theory, explains why the team is still on it?
ReplyDeleteWell done. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you,Nicolas! I really hope this is 3XK's doings... Don't know why, but i have a feeling it's him behind all of it(remember he pulled a "look alike" in his first appearence)...
ReplyDeleteI'm going to blame Perlmutter. He planned all of it. :)
ReplyDeleteBecause their job as detectives is to follow the evidence wherever it leads, no matter how much they dislike where that takes them? I fully expect we'll see them fighting hard to prove Castle's innocence, but that doesn't mean they can ignore hard evidence first.

I really hope there's more to this because this episode is looking pretty ridiculous.

ReplyDeleteI'd love to see that be the case: after all, we were promised 3XK would turn up again sooner or later, and this would definitely be a fitting kind of vengeance from him!
ReplyDeleteWhen they said "Richard Castle you are under the arrest for murder." xD
ReplyDeleteWho says they've given up? They haven't even questioned him yet. Of course they'll keep digging. But if fingerprints, bank records, video surveillance and even hints of motive and opportunity all point at the same guy, they have to at least bring him in. i wonder how they prove his innocence, i doubt Beckett will think he did it at all, she's his alibi.....
ReplyDeletealthough we all know how this ends, I'm still excited!!
ReplyDeleteThat, IMO, is still following evidence, not them saying they believe he did it...
ReplyDeleteNot sure how I feel about this episode...I'm kinda nervous...
ReplyDeleteI mean, I know it will definitely end up not being him for lots of reasons, but I'm still nervous... :/
3XK, that's who!
ReplyDeleteAndrew Marlowe won't jerk us around like that. From the promo pics for 5x6, it looks like Caskett will be as strong as ever, or stronger.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else here watch "3XK" again?
ReplyDeleteThe last dialogue between Castle and Triple Killer, really makes me think this next episode is his come back.
Thank you. This is a, um s-uh, rationally implausible scenario, both that they can believe that Castle is a murderer and that they haven't been recused from the case because of their closeness to the aleged perp, Castle. I'd go so far as to say this is an act of shark-jumping.
ReplyDeleteAnd the bias to find him innocent is the reason why it makes no sense that they're involved in the arrest in the first place.
ReplyDeletePeople, let's wait to hate.. We don't know if the captain will allow them to be in the case so easily..
ReplyDeleteThe look in Beckett's eyes... :( n anger in her voice :o
ReplyDeleteThis was really "Heartbreaking"
ReplyDeleteyes u are right i didn´t see like that, thak u, we all trust in Marlowe right,? best show ever, can´t wait to monday

ReplyDeleteOhhhh this episode is going to be soooooo gooood! :)
ReplyDeletePoor Castle!!
ReplyDeleteI think the end will be very satisfying!I'm sure their relationship will emerge strengthened. Watch it guys! It's a good one.
ReplyDeleteomg this episode is going to destroy me

Oh please be 3XK!!! This would be an AWESOME comeback for him. We all know Castle didn't do it!
ReplyDeleteOh Gees! Can you say set up?

ReplyDeleteFingers crossed!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, ready for more Sneak Peeks now? What do you say ABC? Another one!!
ReplyDeleteIt HURTS!! It hurts so much.

ReplyDeleteWhen there is that much evidence they cannot simply not arrest him, that doesn't mean that they think he did it. It's really that simple.
ReplyDeleteOMG I can't watch this!!
ReplyDelete
