    - What led to Rebekah and Caroline in the back of a police van?
    - Heh. I guess Jeremy is handling Elena's situation better than I thought he would.
    - Bonnie has come a long way. It wasn't long ago that she'd get nosebleeds and pass out from sending someone a note.
    - If Damon continues to choke-slam Matt, he's gonna need to invest in some turtlenecks.
    - It didn't take long for the new priest character to start causing trouble. I hope all of these new human troublemakers means more screen time for Liz.
    - The scene near the field with the police cruiser reminds me of the Walking Dead pilot.

    Hmmm... So we know April comes to town because her dad the pastor dies. From that promo I'm betting, from the look on Elena's face at the top of the stairs when she sees that priest and the guns pointing at Stefan, that she makes her first kill to save him. Yes? No?

    The way I understand it from the info I've read, Elena's feed is a decision and not something she does out of necessity in defense of someone. I could be wrong though.

    have to see Bonnie messing things up again via magic (hasn't she learned
    her lesson,yet?) instead of seeing Elena DRINK SOME EFFING BLOOD??
    P.S.Damon compelling Caroline and Andie to date him was disgusting,but the Caroline and Tyler/Klaus thing is even worse!

    This promo is boring... and its kind of messed up the fact that Bonnie wants to find a way to reverse the transition for Elena but she didnt do anything for her mother by example... it begins to be kind of WTF when it comes to Elena!!

    Exactly the same. I used to love the vampire diaries, it was one of the biggest surprises i have ever had with a show, but the last half of season 3 was subpar compared with what they have previously done. And while I loved the finale for the episode itself, I hate what it represents for the show, it's absurd that Klaus is still alive, it is what is preventing the show from evolving and keep itself refreshing. By keeping Klaus alive, the show become stale and much less interesting. Julie Plec is ruining the show in a lot of ways, I wish Kevin Williamson would come back. However, as I've started by saying, I still love the show (I love all the actors and it is still very entertaining) and this promo got me excited!

    Almost the entire season 3 disappointed me. The whole Original storyline has been quite boring and they drew it out for WAY too long. And while I do agree about Klaus, I do love that man. It's one of those catch 22 situations. I love Joseph and don't want to see him go, yet Klaus needs to die, or at the very least disappear in some way like in the books, where you have no idea if he's dead for sure, but you think he is.
    I'm just hoping they don't ruin the Elena transition storyline.

    You know, I was talking to my daughter about the same exact thing. And her reply was, Elena has been there for her all her life, yet her mother left her, more than once and was never really a mother. If you can look at it that way, you could understand why she'd be willing to kill herself for her best friend, yet not her own mother.
    Family isn't always blood. And just because they are blood doesn't make them family.
