  1. I'm never quite sure what these figures are for, can someone explain them to me please?

  2. These are the ratings for the top 25 markets of the panel. I think.

  3. Wish Person of Interest had come back stronger The Last Resort fell pretty much where I thought it would, it has big competition with TBBT and X Factor. I've been Eh on Elementary, the number isn't bad on its own, but considering the competition, especially the NBC numbers, it could and should be better.

  4. it means 2.4% of adults 18-49 in the top 25 areas watched last resort

  5. Ok well if this holds.....
Last Resort did ok, it could have been much worse given that time slots history in recen seasons.
Greys always premiers strong, it'll steadily decline as the season goes on but nothing to panic over. I believe the show came back on a massive cliff hanger or something so numbers were expected to be high.
Scandelous-still ok, it could be doing better but for a 10pm show esp on ABC Its doing well.
    TBBT-always a star
TAAHM-massive mistake moving it. CBS should now cancel Partners, move 2BG to 8.30 Thursday and TAAHM back to 9pm Monday. Rules should come in at 8.30 Monday till mid season.
POI was on a downward slide at the end of last season so no suprises it came back relatively weak. Its OK but not great.
Elementary could have done better but given CBS's shitty weak a 2.8 aint that bad.
    NBC-cancel everything and start again

  6. so far the've been pretty close to the actual numbers

  7. Doesn't look good for Last Resort, unfortunately.

  8. Yeah, I understand that bit, but I don't understand how they are important? Sorry, I'm used to British figures and what it means for a show if the AP, share, etc isn't what's expected. But I'm not sure about the USA side of things.

  9. Last resort had such a good pilot!! What the hell happened?

  10. they are important because advertising is calculated based on them which is the main source of income

  11. Ahh, so it dictates how much money can be charged for that timeslot?

  12. Gotcha. Cheers for that, sorry I'm a dim Brit :p lol

  13. 'POI was on a downward slide'? Seriously? It had three straight weeks of series highs in the demo before the season ended, true it slipped a tad but it sure wasn't a downward slide.

  14. We'll see in the coming weeks for LAST RESORT, easily the best new show of the season so far. Did better than most ABC shows do in that timeslot.

  15. Last Resort didnt do that bad but I doubt it'll be around come 2013. I'm thinking 13 episodes and done that is unless it colapses completely between now and then.

  16. Yep, I'm sure ABC will push repeats a lot and it will be interesting to see the +7 numbers along with next weeks numbers

    ReplyDelete
  17. Not all the time. CM got a 2.5 when I looked at this post but it ended up somewhere around a 3.1? That's quite a large gap.

Seeing as POI is up over it's year ago opener in the overnights, I'm not convinced that it would be so drastically below in the demo. Given what it's overall numbers are likely to be, a 3.1/3.2 seems a lot more believable a number than a 2.6.

  18. isnt it repeating at 9pm tonight?

  19. Thanks for the perspective. Ratings are always so relative it is hard for me to see how they fit together for each network.

  20. I thought only the C+3 numbers counted? Forgive me, I'm new to trying to understand how ratings work.:)

    ReplyDelete
  21. For the networks the +7 don't currently really matter, I was just interested to see how many people recorded or watched later. As if the numbers are large for +7 and people like it, then it could mean better live numbers for next week.

  22. Oh, that makes sense. Thanks for explaining.

  23. I hate ratings why do I still read them? LR was awsome btw

  24. Switch TBBT and 2.5 Men... I think it really would help.
Also, it's always possible people were still out and about...I was not really into watching tv all night, because it's been so nice outside.
