Thanks to Richard for the heads up that Sky Atlantic will not be commissioning a 2nd Season of Hit & Miss.
Here is the official statement.
Hit & Miss was commissioned as a self-contained drama. The series was the first UK drama commissioned for Sky Atlantic and the response from our customers and the press has been overwhelmingly positive. Following the success of this series, Sky Atlantic continues to be committed to investment in original British scripted productions with upcoming drama Falcon, and other productions which will be announced soon.

Saying it's 'cancelled' is a bit harsh. It isn't cancelled, there is just not going to be a season 2 as season 2 was never planned in the first place.
ReplyDeleteWell I guess this show...
ReplyDelete*puts on glasses*
was a hit and a miss
YYYEAAAAHH!
That was my impression too....
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a limited run mini-series,
I really enjoyed it, sad we wont see what happened next but, there you go!
ReplyDeleteThe show was dreadful. Good call.
ReplyDeleteWell I thought it was excellent
ReplyDeleteYeah, instead they should call the show, a hit and a miss. :D :D Sorry, I couldn't resist... :D
ReplyDeleteCompletely it was always meant to be a mini-series. I kind of hate it when people say shows are cancelled when they were always meant to end that season.
ReplyDeleteHave to check this show out when it comes out on DVD
ReplyDeleteFirst thing I thought when I saw the title :D And I don't even know this show
ReplyDeleteDamn. I was hoping they'd keep it going. Hit & Miss was great.
ReplyDeleteWhat was dreadful if you don't mind me asking? In my opinion, the acting and writing was phenomenal.....quite unique compared to all the "C" that is out there currently.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, a very unique show.
ReplyDeleteBut then what happens to Uncle Liam? Will Mia ever get the operation done? How will she keep covering her tracks from the police? I think a Season Two was planned. Unless they wanted to keep it all film-noir-ambiguous...
