Update: NOTE: This update contains all ratings up to and including 29th May
Update: 27th March With Today's CBS Renewals the tables have been updated.
Update: 20th Dec We've also add a small table that shows the Network Averages for both 18-49 Demo and Total Viewers. This can be found at the bottom of the article.
Update: 7th Dec We're pleased to announce some important updates to the tables below.
1) The Tables now use the Final Adjusted Ratings Numbers
2) We have also included the 18-40 Demo Ratings in addition to the existing Total Viewers Tables
Notes:
- These tables are just for the Broadcast Networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX and NBC)
- The % drop/gain calculations are based on show average compared to their premiere episode.
- The tables will be updated when the previous days final adjusted numbers are released.
We hope you find this useful. We'll be keeping these updated on a near daily basis. If you notice any missing shows/ratings or any other errors, please let me know in the comments.
18-49 Demo Ratings
Total Viewers
Network Averages
Bones is off to a good start and Revolution is off to a great start!!
ReplyDeletecan we maybe have a table that sorts by most to least viewers?
ReplyDeleteOr use a different table application that lets you sort the tables as you prefer (like Wikipedia's tables).
ReplyDeleteThere is, it's the 3rd Table
ReplyDelete@smallville944:disqus That's what the 3rd Table is :)
ReplyDeleteThese are the only ones that work on our platform I'm afraid.
ReplyDelete'the new girl' shows 2 episodes and it premiered yesterday so it's only one, which one has the real numbers?
ReplyDelete.imagine when the beauty began..i predict may be 5 million viewer the next week 60 percent drop
ReplyDeleteJust me or is Google drive not reachable for others?
ReplyDeleteWorking for me. Are you still having problems?
ReplyDeleteWorking for me now, too.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, thanks for getting back to me :)
ReplyDeleteOnly 3.18 for Fringe? Not so good, huh?
ReplyDeleteIt's the last season, so I'm not worried about ratings anymore...
ReplyDeleteI know. The ratings are confusing me anyway.
ReplyDeleteWould it be possible to have a top shows chart by demo instead of total viewers since that is the number that counts as far as renewals go?
ReplyDeleteI'll see what we can do.
ReplyDelete@Dahne1:disqus We've now added the 18-49 Table at the end of the post. Hope that helps.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! This is very handy when comparing shows.
ReplyDeleteWhy is NCIS not in the 18-49 table?
ReplyDeleteThanks, fixed.
ReplyDeleteI have a question... Cause I'm new to this system..
ReplyDeleteShows with a negetive number on "%Drop" means that they gained viewers?
And- Are improving shows more likely to be renewed? Like my own personal favorite- Parks and Rec?
Thanks !
Hi @facebook-1430351456:disqus Yep, a negative number means they actually increased viewers :)
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does not hurt a show to have improving numbers but the raw numbers is just one part of the story.
See our Cancellation Predictor tables for a more accurate idea about which shows are a doing well etc
http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/09/the-spoilertv-cancellation-predictor.html
and here

I really like the spreadsheet tracking all the total viewership figures for the series so far. That is great information to be able to go back and look through. I am a big fan. Thanks SpoilerTV peeps.
ReplyDeleteThat's very kind. Glad you like it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks ! I will be crossing my fingers for Parks and Rec & Nashville.. All my other favs look safe.. (:
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this season of Supernatural! Glad they are doing good overall.
ReplyDeletethose TVD numbers are all wrong PLEASE fix it. it got 3.18 million viewers for its first episode and 2.91 for its second. and a 1.3 in the 18-49 demo for its second episode so FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT
ReplyDeleteTVD
ReplyDelete1.6 and 1.3 do not make a 1.2 average
SPN
ReplyDelete0.8 + 1.0 + 1.0 = 0.93 therefore a 0.9 average?
@tvmonkey:disqus Yes I know. The table does not show the average. It shows the last episode overnight 18-49 rating.
ReplyDelete@tvmonkey:disqus These are NOT averages for the 18-49 table.
ReplyDeleteare you going to do a A 18-49 average table? Kinda thought that would be more important than viewer numbers?
ReplyDeleteNot a present I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteSome of the numbers are.. wrong. The Neighbors : 9,22M (3.3A18-49) - 6,32M (1.9A18-49) - 6,39M (2.0A18-49) - 6,53M (1.9A18-49) - 6,87M (2.0A18-49).
ReplyDeleteHi @twitter-168707076:disqus , those appear to be the adjusted final numbers, this table is the early overnights.
ReplyDeleteI thought the table was the final numbers , my bad. :)
ReplyDeleteDarkUFO: do you keep previous years someplace accessible? would be fun to see how a favorite is doing in comparison
ReplyDeletehollyu48 We only started doing it last year. Here is last years one
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2011/09/full-ratings-tables-most-watched-and.html
What does 5.2 in the 18-49 demo mean? I'm clueless as to what these demographics actually indicate when they use x.x numbers.
ReplyDeleteSee here
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nielsen_ratings#Demographics
I understand the demographics, I just don't understand what 5.2 means. 5.2 million viewers/households that are all in the 18-49 demo, is that it?
ReplyDeleteNo, Nielsen ratings are %
ReplyDeleteSo of all the viewers who watched Live+SD 5.2% of them are in the 18-49 demo? That doesn't sound right to me? Or is it 52%? God, I'm confused, haha!
ReplyDeleteNo, it means that 5.2% of all people watching tv at that time in the 18-49 demo were watching that show.
ReplyDeleteOh... I thought Big Bang Theory was more popular than just 5.2% But then again, this is the first time I understand what 18-49 really means, so I'm not really a ratings kind of guy, haha.
ReplyDelete5.2 is actually huge :) Its the largest for any scripted show on the broadcast networks :)
ReplyDeleteOh! Then awesome! My favorite show won't disappear anytime soon, then, great!
ReplyDeleteif Hawaii five-o scored 8.1 and the loss/gain is minus- it means an improvment- right? so why can't i see this score in the table of SpoilerTV Ratings Table 2012/13 : Ratings? i only see 7.35
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm afraid I don't understand the question?
ReplyDeleteCastle is the best show ever, and this season is amazing!!! lets keep the rating high
ReplyDeleteWhy can't I comment on the ratings/viewers page for yesterday? Nothing is showing up for me.
ReplyDeleteCan you drop me an email and we'll investigate.
ReplyDeleteGood on you Elementary, got some very good ratings. So far, the ratings are better than: CSI NY, Hawaii 5-0, HIMYM, Mike and Molly, Partners and The Good Wife.
ReplyDeleteIt is also up there about level with:Blue Bloods, CSI: Las Vegas, The Mentalist and Two Broke Girls.
Out of 18 shows (currently airing), Elementary has better ratings than 10 of them. Criminal Minds, NCIS, NCIS: LA, Person of Interest, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men and Vegas.
CBS has high standards, and Elementary has better ratings than some of the veteran CBS shows. Keep it up.
great improvment for H50 !! i'm happy
ReplyDeletethe 18-49 Ratings for TVD is wrong its 1.4 not 1.2
ReplyDeletethese are the ratings 1.6, 1.3, 1.3, 1.5, 1.5, 1.3
The table shows the last 18-49 demo from the overnight ratings, not the final adjust numbers.
ReplyDeleteWe post the final adjust numbers in the episode database http://stvplus.com/show/186/Vampire-Diaries#episodes
CSI is climbing back with strong episodes . It is really good this year and looks to be even better coming up, with recent spoilers.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutly over the hill about CSI and improved ratings. Well deserved after this week.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you not use the adjusted numbers? Surely these tables do not give a true representation of how a show is doing. One example is BATB. The episode on 29th November had 2.15 million viewers originally but then was adjusted down by over half a million viewers to almost 1.5. This is quite a big drop but if someone looked at the table they would see that BATB was the CW's third best show for that week. It's not really a comparison of how a show is doing week to week if you do not use the adjusted numbers or is it?
ReplyDeleteWe do use the final numbers in our Episode Database.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.stvplus.com
These tables are just to provide a rough trend analysis. They are not meant to be 100% accurate.
You should use the Episode Database for accurate numbers/charts.
Maybe is this an unintentional error but the spreadsheet for Vampire Diaries shows the latest episode having a 3.20 million viewership whereas the other spreadsheets calls for 3.02 million viewership. Just to let you know.
ReplyDeleteHi, which other spreadsheets are you referring to? I can only see 3.20 here and in the Daily Ratings Spreadsheet? Which ones are you looking at?
ReplyDeleteSorry, my error. The average for TVD is 3.02 million viewers not how many the last episode was watched.
ReplyDeleteAh cool :)
ReplyDeletethanks for this, so much easier to read and keep an eye on ratings now
ReplyDelete@tvmonkey:disqus Our pleasure, glad you like. It also makes it easier for us :)
ReplyDeleteAlso remember that we have full final ratings in the Ratings Database (http://www.stvplus.com) that you can look at all past seasons for the majority of shows as well as various charts, tables and season comparisons etc
Castle is the best show ever, and this season is amazing!!! lets keep the rating high
ReplyDeletePlease watch Castle live and rewatch later. It helps the ratings. It is the greatest show on Tv and is a joy to watch every week.
ReplyDeleteI thought the pilot for Revolution got a 4.1 in the demo? POI and OUAT have both been EXTREMELY steady in the demographic this year, not counting that one anomaly for OUAT :P
ReplyDeleteFringe has been steady too, but hoping we get a high number for the 2-hr finale
It did get a 4.1. What table are you looking at?
ReplyDeleteCastle is the most overrated show i like it but what makes it better then any other procedural like Bones, NCIS, NCIS: LA i will never understand
ReplyDeleteNCIS IS THE BEST SHOW EVERRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 THE NO.1!YEHH
ReplyDeleteNCIS SHIVA WAS AWESOME!!! THEY GOT THE MOST THEY DESERVE IT!!NO.1
ReplyDeleteUhm, Cougar Town? They are already airing, and they aren't on ABC anymore...
ReplyDeleteThanks, should be gone now. We'd not updated the database correctly.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if anyone has pointed this out but Bob's Burgers isn't listed in any of these charts
ReplyDeletethen you dont watch Castle then....Bones, NCIS, and NCIS: LA aren't even close to funny like Castle is...That difference should have been obvious.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural is always must see TV. Loving season 8.
ReplyDeleteWired did an article about Nielsen ratings and idk if you all had seen it yet but it's good: http://www.wired.com/underwire/2013/03/nielsen-family-is-dead/
ReplyDeleteHey. Do you also have this for older seasons?
ReplyDeleteWe only stated compiling it last year.
ReplyDeleteHere is the table for 2011/12 Season
http://www.spoilertv.com/2011/09/full-ratings-tables-most-watched-and.html
Ok, thanks a lot!
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you're not already aware we have a detailed Ratings Database for all the major shows here
ReplyDeletehttp://stvplus.com
Also we have a lot of charts/tables and analysis/comparisons of all shows networks here
http://stvplus.com/ratings
The best serie is NCIS: Los Ángeles, I love G. Callen
ReplyDeleteIs there an approximate figure of the total number of TV series viewers in the world?
ReplyDeleteNo idea sorry
ReplyDeleteThanks. However, with your knowledge in the industry, is it in the millions, hundreds of millions or billions?
ReplyDeleteBillions
ReplyDeleteCastle best show ever!!! so glad the keep have a high rating
ReplyDelete
