Last year's poster was retouched just as much. It's becoming rare that print promo material like this isn't digitally reworked to a noticeable degree. Here's both posters for comparison:
I see what you mean but last year's pictures look slightly more real and less fake mainly because they have got relatively normal skin tones than this year's picture where apparently it seems as if Beckett and Castle went on holiday and just darken about 1-2 shades than their natural skin tone. looks weird
Yeah, last year's poster wasn't sooo much photoshopped. This year's poster looks like CW promo material. Their skin is too tan, to shiny (not in a Firefly way) and plastic.
I agree with the photoshop comments. What kept it from the Awesome column for me. But it is a Great teaser. Anyone else see handcuffs playing a small part in the opening scenes - what fun. Ha! Can't wait.
Cute, but it's way too photoshopped for my taste. I'd also love to see some supporting cast included, since Ryan and Esposito are a huge part of what makes the show so likable to me.
I, for one, love it. Yes, it's noticeably Photoshopped but IMO, not as bad as magazine covers are these days. It's kind of done in a good way (major emphasis on "kind of").
Looks like a side effect of the photoshopping overkill. It's weirding me out that neither one has any trace of hair on their arms, and no pores on their faces, and Stana's got an impossibly smooth elbow... That said, I DO still love the image!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
haha, and photoshopped.
ReplyDeleteI think most fans are going to like this one. A lot.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's photoshopped. Neither of them seem to have pores but I've seen hatchet jobs a lot worse than this one.
ReplyDelete*nods* I approve.
ReplyDeletelikee ;)
ReplyDeleteMy caskett heart is so happy but... can we talk about photoshop ? It's too used !!!
ReplyDeleteLove the expression on Nathans face!
ReplyDeleteI really like it! The happy light coulors and both smiling.
ReplyDeleteIt's adoarble, but really oddly edited together. Surely they could have found better pictures from some of the best promo material?
ReplyDeleteI agree, it´s a little too much photoshop.
ReplyDeleteLove the pic but seriously it has been photoshopped out the yazoo! :(

ReplyDeleteYeah, me too...and very recently. ;)
ReplyDeletei love it even if it's photoshoped. Can't wait to see caskett in the premiere, it's gonna be great !!
ReplyDeleteSeason 8????? By the Way, even if I like it, there's too much photoshop
ReplyDeleteLOL. Should be fixed now :)
ReplyDeletesaid the same thing. Its just a bit too much here.
ReplyDeletePoor. The massive use of CS6 makes me sick
ReplyDeleteMaybe but you can do so much better, even with using Photoshop
ReplyDeleteDefinitely too much photoshop.
ReplyDeleteWhy do people complain about photoshop? When you look in magazines, everything is photoshopped. That's how the world works these days.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I LOVE it.
It almost looks fake: definitely Photoshop-abused. I think it's sad.
ReplyDeleteI voted great. Would've been awesome if it wasn't for the excessive use of Photoshop.
ReplyDelete*FANGIRLING* this perfect, they are perfect, everything is so perfect!!! *puking rainbows*
ReplyDeletegod they looks like dolls ^^' shining skins ..... using photoshop too much is killing photoshop >.<

ReplyDeleteUh, too much photoshop. TOO MUCH.
ReplyDeleteThe idea is nice and it should be amazing but it's not. It's like Madame Tussaud's version of the Castle poster.
Too plastic, really.

ReplyDeleteAt least this time they are handcuffed to the right (or is it left) hands. Loving it. Bring on Sept 24. Not long now.
ReplyDeletesame here!
ReplyDeleteNot a fan...did they even shoot the picture together? It looks like Beckett's arms have been photoshopped in and Nathan looks like a waxwork.
ReplyDeleteWhy does Castle look like Nathan and Stephen Baldwin had a freaky love child.
ReplyDeleteWhat I find interesting is that Kate is wearing her father's watch in this poster. Could this have anything to do with Castle's father?
ReplyDeleteCute, but it's way too photoshopped for my taste. I'd also love to see some supporting cast included, since Ryan and Esposito are a huge part of what makes the show so likable to me.

ReplyDeleteWell she wears the watch all the time so.... I dont think it has something to do with Castles Father.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw it, I was like "Wow awesome!". But the excessive use of Photoshop bothers me, especially Stana's arms...
ReplyDeleteYep, it sure looks that way.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, you made me laugh out loud. And also freaked me out a little bit. Ew.
ReplyDeleteWhat is CS6?
ReplyDeleteThey pulled in his cheek too much and I think she should be looking at the camera too. I loved last years this just looks a little off.
ReplyDeletelol

Yeah she does. But this is the first time it's in a poster let alone a promo shot.
ReplyDeleteHorribly unnatural picture. That is not a good picture, no matter if she is hugging him. This is just bad work.
