Unfortunately, Zylka was booted from the cast before shooting a single frame of the series. Sources reveal to Zap2it that when Zylka hesitated to shave his head for the appearance, which was only a two-episode arc with an option to extend, executive producer Ryan Murphy shaved him right off the call sheet.

Without Zylka, the role was reduced significantly to a one-episode co-star gig, and Zylka has since been replaced with another actor who was willing to part with his locks.

    Why are people always so silly about their hair? It grows back. I don't even watch this show but I had to say that I saw enough whining when I watched ANTM.

    Male actors remove the hair of their heads for roles everyday. What kinda diva is this guy?

    I really don't understand some people: if the part required him to shave his head and he didn't want to, why the hell did he audition for it in the first place?
    As "Sarah!" sair above, hair grows back.... so I don't get what the problem is. And I just googled him, and he already had a shaved head in the past and it's not like he has long hair. It is just silly.
    I can actually understand that some women have a weird over the top love for their hair and wouldn't do it (I really like my hair, but I would chop it of without blinking if my job required me to), because a long hair takes years to grow, but on men with short hair it is just a stupid decision.

    I sort of understand him. It's a risk really since what happens to him after if he does not get extended. It's like when Mark Salling shaved his head for a mow-hawk for his Glee audition. Big risk considering some castings require a certain hair type of color.

    Seriously? You are all against him. I mean, I don´t even know that guy, but wanted to know why he got axed and find out, just because of not wanting to shave his head. Why is a a shaved head so important to the character? If they wanted him in the first place for the character, then why be so bossy and be like: Do it or get out!
    To me this is a very bad sign of leadership. A showrunner should treat his actors and actresses better.

    Oh my this is upsetting. I really like this actor. He was my hon on TSC. I don't feel the actor is a diva because he doesn't want to shave his head for a 2 episode arc even w/an option to extend. I certainly would want more than an option to extend if I was asked to shave my head. Of course, some producers let power go to their head. 3 thumbs down to Ryan Murphy.

    I suspected something wrong happened to Chris Zylka when like a month ago he twitted that he was leaving twitter for a time. I found it strange because he had gotten a part on AHS and who wouldn't twit about it?? Time passed and there were no news about him shooting AHS or anything. Now I have confirmation that things went wrong.
