Put your fangs away! Russell is still awesome character, he actually pretty much saved this awful season. I hope that Sookie and Bill will not make it in t
I've been kind of disappointed with Russell's return this season, but I don't know if I'm ready for him to be gone. He's had the comic relief that I love, but he's just not the villain I was expecting. Still, I think I'd like him to stick around a little longer. As for Nora, I'm disappointed in her character. I thought she was going to be an interesting addition, but she pretty much just annoys me, even if it was cool to see Eric interact with more of his "family". She can go.
I have really enjoyed this season, so kind of sad that there is only one episode left. We've been promised a bloody final with lots of deaths and a great cliff hanger... looking forward to it.
I felt exactly the same way about Nora. After Sookie's dismissal of Eric last season, I was happy to see him getting some attention from a non-Yvetta-type. Not that there is anything wrong with those girls in his life (because who wouldn't want another impormptu dungeon sex scene?), but I love Eric too much to leave him pouty for long. I hoped Nora might be that for him, but as soon as she started preaching the religious stuff I began losing interest in her. I guess I expected more. That said, I'm hoping she'll redeem herself now that she has broken free of the craziness at the Authority. I think Nora might still come in handy in rescuing Pam from Authority custody since the promo pic (Tara included) makes it seem like that will be happening in the Finale. There was one line Nora said when we first met her that makes me feel she will play an instrumental role in saving Eric. She said she would never allow any harm to come to him, or something like that, so maybe she'sbeen fang-fodder all along. Either way, I can't believe the finale is upon us again. It will be a whole nine months before we get all of the cliff-hangers fulfilled. There is only so much that can be done in a fifty-or-so-odd minute show and a few too many character storylines to take away screen time from the characters who deserve it.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Leave Russell Edgington alone, you bunch of gleam freaks of nature!
ReplyDeleteI seriously hope they get rid of Russell for good in the finale. He stopped being fun like half a season ago. He has been so pointless this season
