AMC announced last month that it would not be renewing The Killing for a third season, but the series could find new life on Netflix or DirecTV, TVLine reports.
The two outlets are currently in negotiations with Fox Television Studios, which produces The Killing, to pick it up for a third season, according to the report. When AMC announced The Killing's cancellation, the studio issued a statement saying it would "try to find another home for the show."
Netflix recently rescued Arrested Development from the television graveyard and plans to exclusively air a fourth season of the show in 2013, while DirecTV previously rescued struggling series Friday Night Lights and Damages.

PLEAAAAASE BE TRUE.
ReplyDeletePlease.
ReplyDeleteI don't really believe that but... who knows. I will watch the show no matter where it is aired. :)
ReplyDeleteI´ll watch a third season.
ReplyDeleteReally hope this happens!
ReplyDelete..YESSS,YESSS,YEESS...WOOOOOOW....FANTASTIC FUTURE NEWS COMMON NETTFIX AND DIRECT CUSTUMERS,REPRESENTATIVES PUSH ALL RESOURCES TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.
ReplyDeleteOh I hope this happens. I would like to see another season.
ReplyDeleteI've learned not to have too much hope for things like these (coming out of the Save Our Seeker campaign) but please oh please!
ReplyDeletePerhaps one of these companies could instead resurrect the superior Danish original.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the characters and the conflict they each had. Joel Kinnaman was great but I think the on-going day care saga softened his character too much.
ReplyDeleteYES! PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN! The show was much stronger this season than in the first I thought, PERFECT ending too. Only thing I don't like about the show is the woman that plays Linden.
ReplyDeleteThe Killing season two finale could have easily been a series ender. But it would be nice if they bring it back, but the new case has to be just as good as the previous one.
