  1. He better tell her there isn't something here. But, probably not. Why do we have to end each season w/Callie drama?

  2. Because it is their theme. Jim/Callie drama is what they like to focus on.

  3. They spent 2 years trying to get together, they finally get their chance and he's already thinking about ending the relationship. He isn't worth Callie's affection,i hope she stays where she is and meets someone who is mature enough to handle the ups and downs of a relationship. Jim is a fucking idiot...i hate this and they do it every season.

Can't the freaking writers end a season another way?

  4. Interesting. Something we disagree on.

Despite what romantics think, and I am a romantic, absence does not make the heart grow fonder. At least not always. Callie has been spent 90% of this season engrossed in work and ignoring Jim. This doesn't exactly qualify as an up and down. That usually applies when things get tough for a certain amount of time, then they get better, then bad again. Why does Jim have to be the one suffering the most.

In season one, they met and liked each other but Callie was reluctant. I remember this episode where she pretty much told him to get lost. When Jim tried to find out why, I believe her words were "It's like you're not hearing me." I would have given up on that woman that instant. But then she kissed him out of the blue and remained aloof the entire season.

In season 2, it seemed like it was finally going well, but then her husband gets involved. She takes her sweet time signing divorce papers, doesn't commit to her relationship with Jim at all, and he's told to stay out of her life. All the while, she waits until the final episodes of season 2 to make any kind of decision regarding their relationship.

I can somewhat understand that. Her reason was that she felt like she was falling in love with him and she wasn't ready for it, so it scared her. But that's the main problem here. Throughout two whole seasons, Jim was there being the supportive guy, while their relationship had to entirely depend on what Callie wanted at any given time.

The third season rolled around, and once again everything had to be put on hold for her and Jim was the one having to be the supportive boyfriend living by HER schedule.

This isn't about "ups and downs" this is about Callie wanting the relationship, but not the commitment and time required to make one work.

I can sympathize with her in a way. It's not like she's TRYING to ruin their relationship. Her job is consuming and unpredictable. But right now, her job is more important than Jim, and it has been for a while. He has every right to break up with her.

  5. Okay i give only because i had forgotten about S1,your right that happened! If i could i would eat my words,oh well. But when her husband came back it was also for her son, that is the only reason she was trying to make it work..

In terms of up and downs, there is no length of time where something is up or down.I have gone through a down time that lasted months on end,and i never thought there would be a up time again..

If Jim doesn't want it the relationship that's fine, but what Callie is trying to become a doctor, and its all consuming, and on top of that there is that little thing called distance keeping them apart.Throw that into the mix and its not conducive for a healthy relationship..

Loi,i just re-read what you wrote and so much is coming back to me now, yeah, yeah, your right about a lot of it! But They are both at fault,so why they hell are they together?
Am i wrong, wasn't he the star of the show when it first came on? Just curious as to why they keep doing this every season?

  6. It's the writers. I like the show, but when it comes to Jim and Callie they're terrible at writing them.

  7. Indeed they are..
