That said, Bialik does doubt you’ll see Sheldon’s sweetheart sidling up to her favorite instrument any time soon. “I will not be playing the harp for some time,” she says. “[One of the worst things] is not having the dexterity, and one of the reasons I went back to work was to give our writers the opportunity to see what it looked like, to see how I moved and see what we’d need to work on.
“At some point it may have more movement,” she continued, “but at this point it doesn’t, so we can’t make it look like I’m disco dancing. “
Bialik shared on her blog that she “didn’t tear any artery, nerve or tendons” in her right hand, and as such the injury “could have been so much worse.”

I'm really glad she's okay! And how can you work around an arm injury? It was much easier to hide Kaley's broken leg.
ReplyDeletewish they would just show her injury and have sheldon sings soft kitty instead...
ReplyDeleteWell, other than having to alter any blocking of scenes so that she's more comfortable I don't see why they're fretting. I can't imagine anyone watching not being able to see her on screen with a cast, think, 'hmm, the actress must have gotten hurt. Wonder what happened.' then just continue watching the ep. It's not like its the War of the Worlds and people believe it's all real.
ReplyDeleteI think it will be interesting to see where they go with writing her broken hand in the show. I'm hoping they do something great like the monkey bit off her hand in her sleep or something.
