Hey folks,
The bronze medal match is here, and it is a showdown between Game of Thrones and NCIS for the third place prize. Both shows have done exceptionally well to reach this far, and a win today will be a crowning achievement for either.
The Final with Once Upon A Time and Castle battling it out will begin tomorrow (Sunday 19th) and like last year, will be a 48 hour poll. Last years final was a huge triumph with Fringe and Supernatural achieving new record numbers of voters. We hope for a similar scenario when the winner is crowned on Tuesday 21st.
If you want to see the draw for the rest of the competition, and see which show will take on which other show then head HERE for a look.

ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones 100% My favourite show of the final four!
ReplyDeleteNCIS for sure. It's shameful that it has never won an Emmy, after 10 years. It's a great show, with great characters and great actors.
ReplyDeletencis every time
ReplyDeletethird place go to ncis first and second another $20.00 dollars.castle against once upon a time let the battle begin
ReplyDeleteI voted for Game of Thrones, that was a no-brainer ('no-brainer' is also CBS' motto — free jab #1).
ReplyDeleteThis was my final vote, I won't be voting in the final, I would vote Castle only because I like Nathan Fillion and I don't like Once Upon a Time — I'm just not the target audience for the show as I'm not a teenage girl and yes, that is free jab #2. May the most popular show win tomorrow (everyone knows the best show is always getting bronze anyway).
So I want to say thank you (The) Adam Harris for organizing this !
Even though I don't like either of the finalists, I'm glad it's a different final than the previous years. It gives me hope that next year, the final could be all new as well with, say, Breaking Bad vs. Curb your Enthusiasm — all these shows need to do is have magic creatures and star young, sexy leads… it's a reach but they can pull it off (Saul Goodman's hair is a magic creature in a way).
The "The" is very important :P
ReplyDeleteNCIS!! Thanks for using a more recent picture! :)
ReplyDeleteDo NCIS really deserve to be back after looking at other show performances on this poll.
ReplyDeleteThey put me to sleep in the last round.
This year competition has been full of surprises.
ReplyDeleteIt's jumbled up 5 shows was capable of winning, but it all depends on who get that last burst in the end. In right now it's OUAT so far.
After yesterday i have little hope for NCIS,maybe today it will be different, who knows? Need to warm up my fingers to tweet away, maybe a can get some new people to vote!
ReplyDelete100% NCIS. Abby Scuito is one of my favorite female characters on air. The whole cast gels so well together. When I first saw this show I dismissed it as another in a long line of crime procedurals. I didn't like Gibbs and I only watched it when I was visiting friends who never missed it. Years later there was a NCIS marathon on after something I was watching. The episode ended up being a heavy Gibbs and Abby one and Abby humanized Gibbs for me. I ended up watching the whole marathon and I was hooked. NCIS' strength lies in the chemistry of its cast and the real family relationship of the characters. There is no mystery why this show has so many viewers.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I think it will be rabid fan bases who get their shows in the finale next year too. I'm pretty sure that a fairly large percentage of these voters don't/won't be spending any meaningful time here on the site either before or after voting for their show either.
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones, have never seen NCIS.
ReplyDeleteCheers for running this again Adam :)
This was a tough one but I went with Game of Thrones.
ReplyDeleteI voted for NCIS,i've been with this show since it was on JAG,never missing an episode in the 9 years its been on.Its not the weekly stories that keeps me glued, its the actors themselves,to me they are more like a family, and i love the way the interact with each other...
ReplyDeleteIf tomorrows final pole is for 48hrs wouldn't it be tuesday when the winner is decided? :)
ReplyDeleteEasy one, Game of Thrones I pledge my allegiance to.
ReplyDeleteIt has always been "rabid" fan bases that get online poll wins. That's how it always goes and quite frankly, that is what SpoilerTV should want. It increases page hits and name recognition.
ReplyDeleteI was one of those people who had never heard of SpoilerTV until coming across the NCIS vs Supernatural round for the Best Show Contest 2 years ago. The promotion of this contest within the SPN community was the only reason I came to Spoiler and I have been here for a little over 2 years now. I wouldn't knock having new people come to the site because if even 1 new person stays and tells their friends about it you've got a whole new circle of influence to tap. After all, there are a ton of general and specific TV sites to choose from, so having a friend recommend a particular one might be the deciding factor. Plus people are more likely to click on a link in the future if they have heard of the site before.
boooooooooooooooooo! ;)
ReplyDeleteOH Noooooooooooooo what did i dooooooooooooo lol......!
ReplyDeleteI pledged my allegiance for GOT next year.....
This was a no-brainer for me, Game of Thrones 100%. I voted against it when it was up against OUAT, but I really do love the show, and I hope it wins 3rd place. The writing is fantastic, the sets are perfect, and I'm head-over-heals for Lena Headey and Emilia Clarke. I've seen a few episodes of NCIS, and I found it rather boring, couldn't bring myself to continue watching
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones FTW!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid its got to be Game of Thrones!
ReplyDeleteSorry Laura!!
ReplyDeleteYou can pledge your allegiance to GoT but Fringe will be in the contest again next year too. You might want to hold off another year or two. :-)
ReplyDeleteWow of course! Where is my brain today?? Must edit that out, thanks Dahne!
ReplyDeleteDon't be,now if it was Fringe, then would would been in a world of s... ! lol.....
ReplyDeleteBut only because Fringe is out, right?? RIGHT,lol,,,
ReplyDeleteGoT for me today...
ReplyDeleteJust didn't want you to rue a rash promise if the 2 meet next year.
ReplyDeleteI love NCIS but there is no doubt in my mind that Game of Thrones deserve to win - GOT \o/
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones
ReplyDeletethey are almost equal, only 0.44% difference...anyone could win this... my vote was for Game of Thrones...
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones. No contest for me.
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones is incredible, and deserves whatever acclaim it receives.
ReplyDeleteI do like NCIS,but it's Game of Thrones all the way for me.Mindblowing TV.
ReplyDeleteI truly hope that it wins, just so I can say that ONE thing went the way I hoped in this competition.
; )
Without a doubt, Game of Thrones! It's my 2nd favorite show currently on the air (Community holds the #1 spot) and my 3rd favorite of all time. The writing is superb, the acting is incredible and features some of the finest young actors I've ever seen. Flawless show.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Game of Thromes is flawless (as I don't think anything is), but I do think it is awesome.:-)
ReplyDeleteNCIS for me i dont watch Game of Thrones
ReplyDeleteListen and listen well, NCIS: "I am Daenerys Stormborn and I will take what is mine with fire and blood".
ReplyDeleteHa. Of course if she ever becomes too likable or noble instead of just naked ambition, George RR Martin will kill her no matter what happens in this poll. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have no horses left in this race, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out over the next several days!
ReplyDeletehmmmm....award winning television with articulate, witty dialog, character depth and several phenomenal story-lines(the Game of Thrones) or a cookie cutter naval cop show..... The Game of Thrones easily trumps the competition.
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones. NCIS is just nothing special with. It`s a show that belong to the 90`s, even tough i like it to a degree, same with CSI. Game of Thrones is something special, NCIS is just TV. You cant compare both, and NCIS will win here just because of the fangirls.
ReplyDeletei love the ncis picture
ReplyDeleteWell of course, no show can be truly flawless, but GoT is definitely one of the ones that is closest to that.
ReplyDeleteLOl,Hate to tell you Stephen but you can't downvote yourself,it doesn't work.Just thought i'd tell ya!
ReplyDeleteonly watched ncis so thats my vote
ReplyDeleteHaha... yes :P
ReplyDeleteNever watched Game of Thrones, so NCIS for me.
ReplyDeleteI can't bring myself to just a purely fan based vote. I'm a van of both shows. The problem is I had a lot over very frustrating issues with the storytelling this past season on GoT. Last season it would have been a slam dunk for GoT. This season it's not, I was frustrated with most of the episodes. NCIS, which is for me, at a point where they're very comfortable doing what they do. It gives me what I expect and I'm neither frustrated or disappointed for an overwhelming percentage of the season. I think I have to go with my hit vs miss ration and pick NCIS.
ReplyDeletecommon.ALL FUTURE AND NOW ACTIVE NCIS FAN PUSH THOSE VOTES THE RACE IS ALMOST FINISH
ReplyDeleteI understand all this, and know that hits are great for the site :) Off site fan bases will always skew any poll for these reasons is the point I was making, not that this is bad for the site in any way.
ReplyDeleteWell I have no problem with naked ambition.
ReplyDeletewink wink nudge nudge
Again, such a close loss?? :((
ReplyDeleteWow,again a close one! I have no doubt next year GOT will do a lot better.Seems a lot of people weren't to happy with S2....Lets hope we have a great S3!
ReplyDeleteThere is always next year..They better make it a good one,i was a little surprised by how many people were displeased with S2..
ReplyDelete...WOOOW......O.M.G.....one of my police favorite drama won the BRONZE MEDAL ..yesss..NCIS..good luck next year to the strong base G.O.T fan base was a honorably fight.like the series..G.O.T
ReplyDeletencis have won yes
ReplyDeleteLol Laura totally true!
ReplyDeleteWhew! For a second there,lol..... :D
ReplyDeleteI like OUat and I am far from a teenage girl.
ReplyDeleteHmmm and look who won this poll not GOT. Love NCIS and glad it won the poll.
ReplyDeleteNow if Ziva David would only show some naked ambition.... Well, NCIS would be a cable show... And probably have some Emmys.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who Ziva David is, but I wish you godspeed in your quest...
ReplyDeleteShe's a character on NCIS. :-)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I googled her - not bad...
