Hey folks,
Yesterday blew every other day out of the water. A huge amount of you turned up to vote in the poll which has changed everything. For the first time Supernatural will not take home the top prize. It may be a two-time winner, but it's reign at the top has ended. A huge congratulations to the Supernatural fans is required as they have provided us with a lot of support and fun over this years competition, but for them the road has ended (for this year at least)
To turn my attention to the astounding job done by Once Upon A Time fans, I salute them with the largest of congratulations. It takes something to stop Supernatural, and they did it by the slenderest of margins. 25 votes was what it came down too. On a poll which has seen over 15,000 page views, 8,500 of them unique, it came down to 25 votes. It was extremely close.
And so the competition has been blown wide open. It's down to one of the remaining five shows to take the crown and become STV's second champion. Today we will make five become four as we finish off our Quarter Finals and see whether Castle or LOST will make the Semis.
Castle has been strong throughout, it has a big STV fanbase which has grown over the last few years. In contrast LOST started as the biggest show on STV, the site originating from site owner DarkUFO's LOST website, but since its end has seen support dwindle as fans move on to new pastures. The question remaining is whose support is stronger? Can Castle fans muster its troops faster than LOST fans can track down its old support.
It should be a fascinating conclusion to a Quarter Final round like no other. Quarter Final One was won by Game of Thrones with 51.18% of the vote. Quarter Final Two was won by NCIS with 50.99% of the vote. Quarter Final Three was won by Once Upon A Time with 50.26% of the vote. It has been so close. Let's see how Quarter Final Four wraps up proceedings...
If you want to see the draw for the rest of the competition, and see which show will take on which other show then head HERE for a look.

LOST 100% for me today. My favourite show of all time, epic TV...
ReplyDeleteWhat he said!
ReplyDeleteAwesome poll yesterday. Very exciting.
ReplyDeleteLost for me today although I love castle it will never be as good as Lost was
./..EASY.//..CASTLE
ReplyDeleteCastle all the way!!!
ReplyDelete3 extremely close polls in a row. This has been an exciting week.
ReplyDeleteCastle is good but I won't betray my dedication to Lost
ReplyDeleteCastle ftw!!
ReplyDeleteIf Castle wins this poll the next round will be extremely difficult for me. NCIS vs Castle!? Hell, I don't know who to choose, those are my favorite shows!
Castle of course! the best tc series, the best couple the best banter EVER!!
ReplyDeleteI watched only one episode of Castle, but enjoyed it much more than all episodes of LOST. So, its Castle for me today.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to OUAT fans, you beat my favorite show of all time..today I am going with Castle, but won't be upset if Lost wins. I just like Castle and Beckett, for me they are the hottest couple on TV.
ReplyDeleteNo question - Lost - because we have to go back, always.
ReplyDeleteLost for me. As much as I like Castle, it's kind of a 'watch once only and then forget' show as far as I am concerned. Lost was so much more involved.
ReplyDeleteOkay, now all my favorite shows are definitely involved, and this is rude. LOL. Went with Lost, though.
ReplyDeleteCastle all the way! I hope it wins the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteIt will be Castle versus Once Upon a Time next if Castle wins today. If anything, I would bet that it ends up Castle vs Game of Thrones so you will never have to chose between it and NCIS.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that Castle is winning this poll. Where are all the Lost fans.
ReplyDeleteThey had to go back.
ReplyDeletelost!
ReplyDeleteCastle FTW!!!!
ReplyDeleteLost was epic. Lost challenged the viewer to think hard and to consider possibilities beyond what we know. Castle? Well, it's fun, but it's no Lost.
ReplyDeleteWOW! I really expected Supernatural, Fringe and LOST to be in the final 4. Just goes to show no fandom is unbeatable. xD Congrats to GoT, OUAT and by the look of things Castle.
ReplyDeleteLOST! Where are all the losties? :D
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha!
ReplyDeleteStill devastated supernatural is gone, but we caught hard. Luckily I love once upon a time so I don't mind that it won (ok maybe I mind a little that it beat supernatural but still, I'm happy to see it move forward too)
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, today for me is a simple choice. Love lost and never watched castle so lost it is!!
OMG this is torture! I love castle but i have to go with Lost. This show blew my world apart, viewing tv was never the same after this show,
ReplyDeleteCouldn't have asked for a better reply. At comicon I saw people dressed in darma suits with signs saying "we have to go back!" it was awesome
ReplyDeleteHa
ReplyDeleteDid you see this post we made today on darkufo?
http://darkufo.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/the-dharma-nursery.html
And a nerve wracking week. I've bitten t fingernails down to the (whatever you bite them down to) watching the last few minutes of each poll
ReplyDeleteIt truly was epic tv. I've still yet to see anything that can quite compare to it
ReplyDeleteWow that is so awesome! And my friends say I'm obsessed with lost.
ReplyDeleteHa lol
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look good, but LOST as my first love will always get my vote.
ReplyDeleteSo Say We All! oh, wrong show, sorry. ;)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! ;)
ReplyDeleteWow I'm a bit surprised Castle is winning by so much.
ReplyDeleteCathérine is right, see the competion bracket above. Semis will see GoT against OUAT and NCIS vs this poll's winner
ReplyDeleteLost has been the best show on TV. And I miss it. I have hopes for NBC Revolution to be the new Lost for me.
ReplyDeleteBut Castle is on now and Nathan Fillion is the most charming man on Monday nights, so this time I voted for Castle.
LOST. The Castle fans are, for the most part, petty and vain.
ReplyDeleteCastle for me.
ReplyDeleteLOST is a fantastic show, but I haven't watched all seasons, so it would be unfair to Castle.
I hope we see OUAT again next year, 25 vote beat was extremely close.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with Castle for today.
That's incredibly rude of you to say. In most cases, the only reason why a fandom appears to be petty and vain is because of a small group of fans who are more vocal. Most of the people who vote in this poll don't even comment(in this competition, for every poll, thousands have voted and there were only about 200 comments), and this goes for all the other articles/polls/competitions etc. so you only see that small vocal group. Some people can't accept that others have different opinions, and this people exist in all fandoms.
ReplyDeleteCastle. Nathan Fillion is a delight.
ReplyDeleteCastle of course!
ReplyDeleteGoT should beat OUAT they did beat Fringe.
ReplyDeleteIn even though OUAT did get the edge by 25 votes against SPN, It has to do better against GoT. Get on the jump quick in don't let up the brakes to win.
In Supernatural fans you know damn well yaul be back next year in this same position.lol
But your mistake was you let up in OUAT got it. Time for some new blood for this year atleast.
Final round Castle vs GoT I hope.
Most of the Castle fans are, I'm sure, decent and sane fans. I'm talking about the rabid, whack-job shippers who don't have a rational thought in their minds.
ReplyDeleteI wrote a critical review of the season finale back in May, in which I explained why I thought the episode sucked; namely lack of plot development. I tried to be level-headed and reasonable, but even though my review was the highest rated negative review, the fans almost burnt me at the stake. The common reaction was "OMG! OMG! OMG! CASTLE AND BECKETT HAD SEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG! OMG!"
My problem is with those people. If I have offended the silent, but sane majority, I apologize.
I love Castle but your right, i can't even deal with the OMG,OMG they kissed! Half the time last season i didn't bother to comment.I felt like i was back in grade school reading most of the comments. If all they want to do is make comments like that start a fan club...
ReplyDeleteNow Robert get ready the onslaught begins!
I am almost sure that Castle will win the competition!
ReplyDeleteDon't every fandom has those kind of fans? I know SPN, Glee,TVD, Doctor Who and OUAT can get aggressive themselves.
ReplyDeleteOh my God!!! I can't believe the results so far!!! LOST is the best series of all time, it can't loose, especially from a medium series with standalone episodes!!!
ReplyDeleteI get your point. I mean, it annoys me too when some fans exaggerate like that, or have tunnel vision, only noticing the kiss and ignoring everything else, but I always put it down to the fact that most Castle fans on the internet are teenage girls(which I am too, but I still find the behavior weird). The only thing I had an issue with was that the statement generalized the whole Castle fandom based on a small group.
ReplyDeleteYeah i hear what your saying both you and Robert made good points, yes he came off as if everyone was like that...his wording was bad but he was right in his meaning, just like you were!
ReplyDeleteYes,for the most part they all have 'those' kinds of fans,we see it all the time. But with some groups its more prevalent then others.
ReplyDeleteAdolescence is no excuse for that. I'm an adolescent, but do you see me gawking like an idiot at my favorite show?
ReplyDeleteOftentimes, I go against the general consensus of my favorite show, Fringe. I'm called out on it a lot, but I still do it; and I spell out exactly what my problems are in a reasonably concise manner.
It can,i wouldn't be counting my chickens yet,you might be very disappointed by the outcome. There is a very large fanbase for Castle here....
ReplyDeleteI love both shows, but I went with Castle...
ReplyDeleteEasy one, Castle!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOST for me, even though I wasn't crazy about the ending. Still, great show.
ReplyDeleteVery tough one today again, but in the end as much as I love Castle, I have to vote for Lost
ReplyDeleteLOST. It was an intelligent show with lots of interesting teories, great cast, great character developments, awesome plot. After every episode I rushed to my computer to see what kind of new teories people came up with. Loved it! I didn´t like the end, but that does not take away from the first 3 seasons which was the best 3 seasons of TV I ever soor.
ReplyDeletei watch Castle too. It´s not a bad show, just not as interesting as Lost.
I know, Right??!! It is sad that shows like Castle and Once upon a Time is winning this. So sad!
ReplyDeleteLost for me today. I'm really hoping for a Final between Lost and OUAT. Even though Lost finished in 2010, it continues to be one of my favourites television series of all time. I tried watching Castle a few times, but I could never get into it.
ReplyDeleteIt's almost impossible for a finished show to progress too far as the world of online fandom moves on.
ReplyDeleteHad this poll been run back in 2009-2010, Lost would have easily won the whole competition :)
Castle of course.
ReplyDeleteI never even bothered to see Lost.
Go Castle!!! Best show evaa!
ReplyDeletePerhaps you failed to understand the concept that others may simply have a different opinion than yours.
ReplyDeleteYou stated that you wrote a critical review of the season finale, I'm assuming on a blog of some kind since you've admitted that you're an adolescence yourself, and that you criticized a lack of plot development. Believe me, and this is coming from an adult journalist who writes for a major publication, you are never going to be able to please everybody. Beyond that, if you are critical of something that you know people love, be ready for a backlash. I've been there and done that many times. Heck, I've even had people attack me on a personal level for it.
I, myself, am a Castle fan and I am well acquainted with the online fanbase, so I can tell you 100% that the vast majority of fans online are not teenage girls. Statistically, Castle skews to an older audience and I can tell you for certain that the majority of the online fanbase follows suit. Making other assumptions just because fans are emotionally invested in the show and the characters and putting them down for it, calling them young and foolish and immature or whatnot is pretty low. Fans are excited that Castle and Beckett are together? Let them be. Were "Lost" fans not excited when Sawyer and Kate got together, or Jack and Kate? Look up any video of those couples on YouTube and take a look at the comments that are left there, from people of all ages. There's nothing wrong with people being invested in the characters. In fact, it's the mark of a great show to begin with.
As someone who has a great deal of life experience and a great deal of experience as a writer (and scriptwriter), I greatly appreciate the level of intelligence and depth that the Castle team put into each season and each episode. Some here have mentioned standalone episodes, yet this past season did not have a single episode that didn't further the plot or the characters or foreshadow / set-up a future episode. Believe me, I've played that game before... you name a standalone episode and I'll explain the significance of it in terms of the development of the story, the characters, or the future episodes.
Honestly, I could teach a class on the level of depth to the storytelling on this show; the multiple layers to the story in each episode, the use of the cases to mirror what's going on in the personal storylines, the depth of the characters, the brilliant use of subtext and metaphors and foreshadowing, the overall arc of each season and how events in one season lead to events in other seasons, the clever mirrors to previous moments or scenes or lines, etc. It would take days to cover most episodes on their own, let alone an entire season as a whole.
In fact, I've also covered the majority of last season, along with the finale from season three, for a major entertainment publication, and the vast majority of my reviews / commentary of the episodes are in-depth discussions about the above aspects of the show. Yet I understand as well that Castle can run under the guise of just an entertaining show at times as well, especially to those who either don't watch every episode or who just don't really notice or care to notice the smaller and more brilliant details that are put into every episode. This is why it appeals to a very wide audience.
Although not everyone sees the show as I do, yourself included, I at least have respect for those differing opinions. It would be quite nice if you could do the same. And, just for the future, if you go ahead and criticize a show publicly, just be prepared to have some agree with you but most disagree with you. Berating those people who disagree with you will only bring you further troubles.
@disqus_3dEfE8xYKJ:disqus
ReplyDeleteOne of the best and most well thought out comments on the site. Kudos to you.
If you ever want to do any guest writing for SpoilerTV please drop me a line :)
I agree about Castle, but Once Upon a Time was very good with perfect season finale and I beliece that next season, it will be awsome! Give it a chance ;) . I didn't expect anything less from Lost writers!
ReplyDeleteWow. That was quite a Reason You Suck speech. I deserved it. It seems I've woken a member of the "silent, but sane majority".
ReplyDeleteMy problem wasn't that Castle and Beckett got together (they certainly deserve each other); my problem was that the episode sucked, didn't give any development about the conspiracy around Beckett's mother, and that the shippers were more focused on the sex than the other parts of the episode. It's WORSE considering how great the season three finale was, and how good the show can be in general.
I actually LIKE Castle. If I didn't, I would not have even bothered writing the review in the first place. It's the same with other shows. I often end up writing the minority critical reviews for shows I like. Fringe, for instance.
We disagree, but I respect you FAR more than most of the other Castle fans. You took the time to write a well-thought-out, articulate rebuttal to my attack. My hat is off to you.
Lost beyond a doubt, my all time favourite show. Sad to see it losing out to Castle but not surprised Lost has been finished now for 2 years.
ReplyDeleteLost!!! I think all the Lost Voters have been swallowed up by Island or is it Castle somewhere! Didn't think Lost would be losing to Castle?
ReplyDeleteI certainly wasn't saying you sucked. In fact, you using the word "sucked" to describe the episode is what displays what others may find disturbing in the first place.
ReplyDeleteHave you considered that the episode wasn't meant to develop the conspiracy any further, that that gem was being saved for the continuation of the episode in the upcoming premiere? What the episode DID do was develop the characters and the personal storyline, with a great deal of emotion and a lot more forward movement than is typically shown in a single episode.
In essence, it was the completion of Beckett's journey over the season, finally coming to terms with the fact that her life was not solely hers, as she stated to Castle earlier in the episode. Rather, her life would always be linked to Castle's life, and just as she was nearly destroyed by her mother's death, so too would Castle be destroyed if anything ever happened to her.
Jim Beckett told Castle in "Knockout" at the end of season three that Kate wouldn't stop until someone could convince her that her life was worth more than her mother's death. That fantastic piece of foreshadowing came true in "Always" when Beckett finally understood that for herself. She had spent thirteen years of her life dedicated to avenging her mother's death, yet in the end she realized that she had so much more to live for and so much more waiting ahead in her life. It was ultimately Castle who got through to her, even if she couldn't see it at the time and needed to face another near-death experience to fully realize just how much her life was worth.
Simply saying that the finale "sucked" because it didn't tell the story you wanted it to tell is a tough thing to sell to your readers. It's not up to us to decide how the story should be told or criticize what wasn't the focus, rather to look in-depth at what WAS the focus and discuss the merits or failures of the story that was presented.
For my part, the finale was a great character piece, something that ultimately developed both Castle and Beckett's characters, as well as the ensemble characters. It pushed each of them to their breaking points; Castle to the point of walking away for good (or so he thought), Beckett to the point where she could finally see that her future was worth more than her past, and Ryan and Esposito to the point where they had to choose between doing the right thing and doing right by their leader. The conspiracy wasn't the focus of the episode, yet it was the vehicle for moving the characters forward while also setting the stage for more to be revealed early in season five.
Again, to be honest, the vast majority of the Castle fanbase is much more like me than you seem to think and perhaps they deserve a little more respect than to be belittled because they were excited about Castle and Beckett completing a three-year courtship.
Thank you for your kind words and I will definitely keep your offer in mind when the new fall season begins!
ReplyDeleteCastle is really hitting it's stride right now, whereas Lost has been finished for a while. Hence voting for Castle. Lost already has (and will have) garnered enough recognition, and I believe Castle is a bit underrated, despite the huge loyal fanbase.
ReplyDeleteMmmh.....CASTLE!! Of course :D
ReplyDeleteLooking at that on paper, it sounds like an intricately plotted character study over the course of an entire season. The reality isn't so kind.
ReplyDeleteIn reality, it came across as a bunch of "he said, she said". Beckett gets shot and goes on a angst trip the entire season, BRUTALLY friendzoning Castle (who didn't deserve it), as she "finds herself". It got worse in the finale; Castle pours his heart out to her, and she shuts him down. Not to mention that she called out for him at the first sign of danger, and thinking that crawling back for sex at the end would fix everything.
As for Beckett's mother, we had been waiting an entire season for more development on that front, but no dice. It was entirely sidetracked so C&B could "complete a three-year courtship" (which ISN'T a long time; Booth and Brennan on Bones waited SIX years). The investigation into Beckett's shooter was about the highlight of the episode.
Dragging this thing out over four seasons (and into five) isn't good for anyone. A lot more could've (and should've) happened this past season, and just hoping that maybe they'll address the questions "next season" is unacceptable. Andrew Marlowe needs an endgame plan, and soon.
I guess we will just have to agree to disagree here because we clearly see entirely different things in the show, the season, and that particular episode.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I don't think this is the place to discuss the details of the season in depth, nor do I think I should be arguing the merits of the show with someone who is set in a very different opinion already. That typically does not lead to good things for anyone involved.
Not everyone will see things the same way and every viewer will take something different out of each episode and each season. That's the beauty of television and of storytelling in general. All I ask is that you respect those who don't see things as you do and perhaps, from time to time, stop and listen to what they have to say because you can often learn something from those differing opinions. I've experienced that from both sides of the coin, as both the student and the teacher, and there is always a benefit to keeping an open mind.
I was hoping for a closer race...
ReplyDeleteThere's still time... From what I remember, the last couple of polls heated up during their final hours.
ReplyDeleteLOST, 100%. It's one of two shows I will admire, enjoy unabashedly, and defend forever. Castle is fun, but it's too much procedural for me and my interest has severely waned.
ReplyDeleteI love Lost, but my vote go to my best show Castle.
ReplyDeleteWith all due respect while Castle is nowhere near quality of Lost it does have quite a huge active and rabid fandom, so its not surprising. It is an episodic procedural, far more easier for such shows to build up a fanbase because the show does not require you to follow every episode that ever aired. Sad but true.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised of just by what a difference it is wining.Lost fandom was far more active in previous polls, imo
Lost. No contest. I enjoy Castle but it's little more than a procedural for me.
ReplyDeleteI watched the first ten episodes of OUAT and didn´t find any of the characters interesting at all. I find it almost childish and some of the acting was poor. I guess I just like a totally different kind of show.
ReplyDeleteLOST the best tv show ever *-*
ReplyDelete@twitter-240192861:disqus I think Smokey got them all
ReplyDeleteWow! Caste's gonna beat Lost today? Ain't that a pile a boogers.
ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong - I love Castle, but like I said in the Buffy contest, ultimately it's just another cop show, as much as I enjoy Captain Tightpants's presence.
Lost, for all it's flaws and frustrations was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had with a show.
Ah well....
Without a doubt Lost! My favorite show of all time, loved it through and through. Castle, well I've never gotten into it, but I have seen a few episodes and can understand the appeal. I hope Lost wins, but I'll be glad to congratulate Castle if it wins.
ReplyDeleteLost losing?! How is it even possible?! We are talking about the best TV show ever made...
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty amazing how Lost, despite ending more than two years ago, has left behind other shows still being aired.
ReplyDeleteIn the end, we all know how few of these shows now competing will be talked about two years after their final episode...
Congratulations to all fan bases for supporting and loving their favorite shows!
And long live Lost :)
had to play Enie Meanie Miney Moe....Lost
ReplyDeleteum what is castle about and how is it beating lost? isnt it just a week to week program?
ReplyDeleteNo there is still 3 to 4 weeks left before the fall season begins. You haven't watched Castle before?
ReplyDeleteCastle may not seem like much from the show description, but in my experience(and what I've seen in others) it has a way of getting people addicted. I guess it's beating lost(at the moment) because it's still airing, and it has a very numerous fanbase around here. It's a great show though, even if it's not as brain-stimulating as LOST.
ReplyDeleteLol,you certainly have been on a roll the last few days Andy!
ReplyDeleteAs decent as castle is, it's blowong my min that lost isn't blowing it away. So sad the lack of good tv now a days. Sorry. Not one person could make a valid argument O how castle deserves to be in the same sentence as lost. Happy 815!
ReplyDeleteI miss seeing how many votes each show got. How come that's not here this year?
ReplyDeleteIsn't it obvious that in a poll, the show with a larger online fanbase wins? If this was judged based on how emmy worthy a show was, there wouldn't be a poll. So whichever show wins, it doesn't necessarily make it the best show, just the more popular one. So people should stop complaining that the better show loses and try to spread the word about the poll so that their favourite show gets as many votes as possible.
ReplyDeleteSeriously?! Supernatural losing and now Lost losing?! Mental! If Game of Thrones doesn't trump overall I'll be a wee bit peeved. Not that I have anything against NCIS, Castle or OUAT but SERIOUSLY?!!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I think people are speaking with their votes. It is possible people are just avoiding saying mean things about Lost because it is a really popular show on this site. :-) I could be writing until next week all the flaws with Lost, but it's not a positive contribution to the discussion. What can I say I'm trying to grow as a person. Castle is a charming show with a really enjoyable charismatic lead.
ReplyDeleteLOST is the show that completely redefined my standards about quality television. The cast, the twists, the level of complexity. It dealt with genuine emotion, which is extremely rare nowadays. If there's one a show I'll show to my kids someday, it's the one.
ReplyDeleteCastle is a really fun show but it can't compete in any way.
I agree with your assessment of the season finale. Beckett's mother's case is fast approaching too little too late, something the Castle-Beckett relationship reached for me last season so I know longer cared about it when it happened this season. At this point they either need to solve the case or drop it all together. The pacing, humor, and relationships were off most of the season making it my least favorite so far. While Castle was usually appointment TV for me before, this year I will be watching Revolution live and catching Castle sometime later.
ReplyDeleteWho is the random guy next to Espo in the Castle cast pic?
ReplyDeleteI'm with everyone else on the Lost side here - where is everyone? I enjoy Castle - it's a decent show - but it's not Lost. With Fringe out - if Lost ends up being gone, all I'll have left is OUAT.
ReplyDeleteDid I mention no BSG either...with a loss to Friends? Losties, get moving and get your vote on.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU. Finally, someone gets it. I will also be watching Revolution.
ReplyDeleteI firmly believe that a finale should be something that gets all major aspects of a fandom excited for the next year. That's its job. This year's season finale had a lot for shipper fans but next to nothing for people who aren't interested in that. For years they played the tease game of will they, won't they. It got old fast. Now they are playing the tease game with Beckett's mom's murder and it is getting old fast too. It makes me question whether the writers/producers know anymore of what happened with Beckett's mom than we as fans do and I hate that feeling. Since this storyline feels like their go-to plot every single finale, I expect there to be actual forward movement. Instead we got Beckett being incredibly unpleasant, Ryan and Esposito on the outs, and absolutely no forward progress on the case. My guess is that if they had cut out the last 3 minutes, the majority of fans would have thought the episode sucked too. At least they gave a significant portion of the viewing audience something to get excited about in those last 3 minutes. I just wish they had given the rest of us something too.
ReplyDeleteIn 2010, Supernatural beat LOST in the semifinals in the greatest round this contest has ever had (in my opinion).
ReplyDeleteI have my issues with Castle but I find it far more enjoyable than LOST with its never-ending questions and very few answers. The show runners themselves admitted that they didn't have the answers and chose to leave things open for the fans to interpret how they wanted. I know some people really enjoy that but writers and producers who don't have a solid plan and leave things open-ended irritate me. There's a reason why my least favorite story ever is The Lady or the Tiger. Castle has something for everyone and an excellent supporting cast that I actually like more than the two leads. However, it is winning this poll because it is still on the air. Shows that have been canceled do not get the same kind of traction in online polls as current shows do. To be honest, it was slightly surprising that LOST beat Hawaii 5-0 to me. If Adam didn't purposely separate nominations into 2 categories, I doubt there would be more than a handful of canceled shows in the contest at all. If they had to go up against current shows in round 1, it would be pretty rare for them to advance to even the second round.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry you're not alone. I wrote a critic that I fear the serie will loose his ''touch'' next season cause of the shipping. I mean that I don't like most of the cop shows, but the only reason I love Castle is for the fun bickering between Beckett and Castle, their relationship as friends. Now I'm afraid it will turn in a soap with ''Hi honey how was your day?'' ''oh good! Did you make me diner? Cool, after eating we can go to bed and 'enjoy' ''.
ReplyDeleteSo seeing the finale being all about that, since the finale are supposed (and often are) given the tone for the next season, it doesn't look too good about that
100% agree
ReplyDeleteSeason finale, like I just said to RobertAdriadne, should, and often do, give the 'tone' of the next season and seeing only shipping in the season finale, I wasn't interested at all and I'm not looking forward at all about next season, fearing this will be *THE* theme for next year....
Especially how some actors are actually talking about how the finale gave us *the* answer, that the finale bring us to the 'final destination' of the show....
CASTLE!!!!!! :D
