Man I love this show! On one hand I'm psyched for the finale and on the other hand I'm depressed that there won't be any new episodes for a year after it's over. No other show-in my opinion-has this blend of horror and comedy (well maybe Supernatural at times, but it's rarely the same blend).
I love that instead of just having Scott's mom accept that he's a werewolf and leave her in the background that they're actively getting her involved with the supernatural aspects of the show. I think it'll make it more interesting if she gets occasionally involved like in this clip here.
Right, I agree. Supernatural used to have more comedy, back in the eariler seasons... I used to feel they weren't showing Scott's mom as much... I'm glad their using her more now.
I like how they put Melissa in danger even though she is the human AND only found out about werewolves, etc only recently. It is a little funny out of context since it could be that Issac and Scott are in danger more than Melissa.
Actually myself and couple people were talking about this on another site (somebody else brought up the same thing). I think the main reason why Scott and Isaac keep insisting that Melissa zip up the bag instead of them is that they're scared and it's a normal reaction for most kids to want to lean on their parents (or in Isaac's case an adult they trust) to take care of a situation and fix it.
I think that Scott has been running on fear for so long and feeling like he can't relax that it must be nice to feel like he has someone to take care of things for him (whether that's the truth or not in reality isn't really the point-most of us feel that way when it comes to a parent or at least some adult figure). It's easy to forget sometimes that the whole series has only spanned over a couple months and that these kids are still 16 and at that age it's still somewhat natural to hold onto the belief that "my parents can make everything better". Scott's going to have to adjust to his mom knowing that he's a werewolf and try to figure out how she fits into his life now that she knows the the truth (how much he wants her involved, how much he can lean on her for support, etc).
Yeah, it does make sense being that she is his mother and the adult and they are only 16 AND his mom has been around corpses and dead bodies being a nurse in a hospital.
Didn't they just say that Allison is almost 18 when her dad and granddad were talking about her taking over from her mom? But I think I remember that she was kept back a year (coz of moving around, last season I think...:S ), so she would be older.
Yes, she is 18. But we were talking about Scott and Issac who are around 16-17 in addition to talking about Scott's mom who is in the scene. Alison doesn't appear in the sneak peek....
There's that weird wrap stuff around Jackson, so I though that it might be some kind of vet wrap magic that the werewolves couldn't touch. I mean a body bag isn't going to hold the Kanima, so I figured there was something else keeping him bound and semi-unconscious. Maybe if the werewolves messed with it it would break the spell, so the human had to do it. Usually Scott is pretty protective of his mom.
Yep!! I totally agree :) that is what I think too. I still think that the clip is very funny though but seriously I would think that Scott would be much more protective of his mom like you said if whatever it was covering Jackson didn't have the potential to hurt him. However, it could hurt him and his mom is the only human around and it is up to her. I'm sure that if Stiles or Alison were there it would be one of them doing the zipping and handling of the body bag.
I'm going to feel very dumb asking this, but why does Gerard want Derek dead? In fact, everyone always wants Derek... In season one. Chris wanted to him to find out who the Alpha was. Kate wanted the same thing, but would kill him afterwards. Season Two I only understand Allison, her mom killed herself because Derek bite her while trying to save Scott... but what about everyone else? Especially Gerard... Peter killed his daughter... Derek only finished off Peter, what's he got against him?
I think he represents the establishment werewolf. Like okay Scott is new school werewolf, just a kid doesn't know what's up, hasn't ever hurt anyone, cut him a break. But Derek is old school werewolf of the "all werewolves need to die" ilk. They haven't gone much beyond that to show that he's a bad guy, people keep trying to kill him or kill his entire family and he tries to fight back. Closest you come is he made new werewolves. IMO :)
You know how Gerard keeps taking those pills? And how it looks like he couldn't cross the moutain ash? I've been wondering, what if he's also like a werewolf or somthing similar? And he keeps taking his pills to stop himself from wolfing out, or completely turning into what ever he is? I could be waay off though, maybe he did cross it, but it wasn't shown so we'd believe we was the Kanima's master...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I love that everyone is freaking out here. And I'm glad Melissa isn't freaked out by Scott anymore.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting
