The cable network announced Friday it has renewed Switched at Birth for a second season, returning Monday, Sept. 3 for the final season one episodes, and two comedies, Baby Daddy for season two and Melissa & Joey for a third round. Additionally, ABC Family has ordered more episodes of Amy Sherman-Palladino's ballet drama Bunheads, which ends its summer run Monday.
Buheads will return with new episodes in the winter, with Baby Daddy and Melissa & Joey returning spring 2013. The news comes on the heels of the previously announced Beverly Hills Nannies reunion special airing Sept. 4.
