The Best Show contest is now over at SpoilerTV (congratulations Castle) so it's time to get back into our Supernatural polls. The Ultimate Episode contest will start round 2 tomorrow. To get back in the swing of things and because many lucky SPN fans are enjoying themselves at VanCon this weekend, we'll continue our search for the best Supernatural episode title today. Since people were not happy with only having 2 choices last time, I've bumped it up to 3 for this round. Happy voting!

I loved the song, it was so Sam.."I Am Human and I will let you down". Really works for any of us. We are human. Thought Jared and Gen were great.
ReplyDeleteI thought the song was kind of boring but the lyrics really are universal like you said. Wish Gen had been in longer but it wouldn't fit with the video theme.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they will go straight through without breaks but I can't promise. Work is kicking my butt right now and I'm starting some new projects elsewhere, one of which is a Supernatural podcast with Lilith Hellfire that I hope people will enjoy. It's a new experience for me but I am having a lot of fun. You know me when someone asks my opinion.

ReplyDeleteI was watching the trailer for the movie "The Possession" with Jeffrey Dean Morgan and he was opening what looked like a hex box and I laughed and said(to myself) John you do know better than that. But to stay with this comment, he did not have a beard and I LOVE JDM with a beard. Can you tell I just love a man with a NEAT beard?

Live Free or Twihard - This title just makes me laugh.
Lazarus Rising - I almost went with What Is and What Should Never Be, but in the end voted for LR instead. I don't know...the way that season 4 started and the bookending episode titles. It's just high up there for me.

Girl With the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo - excellent play on words, though it may prove to be a little to "of the time", it's still a really, really awesome episode title.
In My Time of Dying - I cannot separate this title from the episode, and since this is my absolute favorite episode of Supernatural, the title definitely gets my vote.
The Monster at the End of this Book - This has to be my very favorite SPN episode title. It's so...perfect. Not only as it relates to the plot and Sam's struggles, but also because it references the best children's book ever published ever. Starring the best muppet ever created ever. But I may be biased.
What is and What Should Never Be because it is the best of them all, Lazarus Rising was fantastic, and Jus in Bello. Round 2B was difficult to be honest. I could have more but I chose The French Mistake because I loved Jensen's comedy in it, On the Head of a Pin because Christopher Heyerdahl and Jensen should have had Emmy nominations for it and my I cry over Swan Song every time. I would love to add Monster at the End of this Book

ReplyDeleteWhile I don't have any particular childhood ties to Grover like you do, The Monster at the End of This Book will be getting my final vote. It was an inspired title.

What's the podcast called? Will it be a feed I can subscribe too on iTunes? There's a woeful lack of current, good quality podcasts for SPN.
ReplyDeleteIt's called the Team Winchester podcast. It will start airing Sept. 5th. I believe the plan is to put it on iTunes and there will be a website where people can find it too. Lilith knows those details. Who knows? Maybe we can get Andy's permission to put it on SpoilerTV if it catches on too.
ReplyDeleteI miss talking about Supernatural with you guys too. Can't wait to see how the first round goes, but I'm no where near ready to do quotes. I am stuck on After School Special. It's been 2 months and I still can't psych myself up enough to watch that travesty again.

I am with you on Christopher Heyerdahl as Alastair, he was AWESOME..I know a much overused word but in this case it works. lol Jensen was heartbreaking in this ep, but Emmy would never stoop to nominate a show on CW, which is why I don't watch Emmy. It was also one of my picks for ep title.

ReplyDeleteWe had very similar votes. I've noticed that while I am the one who decries the massively long titles more than anyone else, they tend to be the ones I've voted for too. Go figure!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it is not even close to being in my top 100 eps even though I LOVE Colin Ford, did not like Brock Kelly's Dean at all.
ReplyDeleteIt may be the Dabb and Loflin episode I hate most and that is saying a whole lot. I wasn't a fan of Brock Kelly's portrayal either - partly because of the writing and partly because of the acting.
ReplyDeleteAs I tend to not like shows that win Emmy's, I find Supernatural to be in very good company. I like shows because they entertain me. It seems the Emmy committee has a different criteria.
