WHEN: Monday, August 6, 2012
WHAT: NBC will air an extended preview (2 minutes and 40 seconds) of the upcoming drama from producers J.J. Abrams, Eric Kripke and director Jon Favreau, tonight during coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. The preview will air during a commercial pod sometime between 10:45-11:15 ET/PT prior to the Women’s Gymnastics Uneven Bars.
About “Revolution”:
What would you do without it all? In this epic adventure from J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and “Supernatural’s” Eric Kripke, a family struggles to reunite in an American landscape void of electricity: a world of empty cities, local militias and heroic freedom fighters, where every single piece of technology -- computers, planes, cars, phones, even lights -- has mysteriously blacked out forever.
The series stars Billy Burke (“The Twilight Saga) as Miles Matheson, Tracy Spiridakos (“Being Human”) as Charlie Matheson, Graham Rogers (“Memphis Beat”) as Danny Matheson, Anna Lise Phillips (“Animal Kingdom”) as Maggie, Zak Orth (“Romeo + Juliet) as Aaron, JD Pardo (“Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2”) as Nate, Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad”) as Captain Tom Neville, David Lyons (“The Cape”) as Bass, Maria Howell (“The Blind Side”) as Grace, Daniella Alonso (“Friday Night Lights”) as Nora, Tim Guinee (“Iron Man”) as Ben Matheson and Elizabeth Mitchell (“Lost”) as Rachel Matheson. Kripke, Abrams and Bryan Burk (“Lost,” “Star Trek”) serve as executive producers, and Jon Favreau (“Iron Man,” “Iron Man 2”) serves as co-executive producer. “Revolution” is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Bad Robot Productions, Kripke Enterprises and Warner Bros. Television. The pilot was directed by Favreau.
I'm still bummed they didn't show the 6-minute preview on Saturday like they originally planned.
ReplyDeleteIf they want us to watch a preview to promote the show why put it on so late? I'm sure it will be posted online at some point so I will just wait until then to watch it.
ReplyDeleteWell I wouldn't have been bummed if I hadn't known! :-( Did they release the preview anyway somewhere and I missed it?
ReplyDeleteIMO prior to the uneven bars is a pretty prime spot. Everybody's going to be waiting to watch Gabby.
ReplyDeleteNot that I can tell. I think they scrapped it. Maybe next week it will come out online, but to be honest they should be putting the pilot on iTunes before too long. That is if they are going that route and they really, really should.
ReplyDeleteThe Olympics tends to drop off viewers once swimming is over so they really only have a couple places to put it now and still get the maximum number of viewers. Since gymnastics tends to draw more viewers it makes sense to put it around there even if gymnastics tends to be one of the last sports shown.
ReplyDeleteNBC is going to have a contest right after the ad airs to see which 10 cities they are going to show the premiere. Come on St. Louis. I really, really want this. Info here:

Do you think the policy of releasing the pilot early is a good idea? I feel like it results in poor premiere numbers, which get commented on and give the impression that the show isn't any good. I really felt like this with Awake. I liked what Fox did with Glee because by the time fall came around I needed to see it again so I tuned in.
ReplyDeleteI believe they said they may post it to NBC's Revolution site for a very limited time.
ReplyDeleteSweet deal, thanks for posting the link!
ReplyDeleteI think for shows that will have more than just an online audience it is a good idea because you can start buzz with them. For those with mostly an online audience it's iffy.
ReplyDeleteIt is currently on their FaceBook page so I think it will be there until they air.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't able to cote because my FB status didn't list my location. If anyone plans to vote, make sure your location is on first and make it the biggest city to you.
ReplyDeletestill not going to watch it
ReplyDeleteThat is a bummer, maybe if enough people in your area vote they will add it.I live 85 miles outside NYC so i'm pretty sure we will gt an early viewing..
