Yeahhhh !!!!! Liz is back on TV ! In the first seconds of that promo. I think they kept the footage (with Andrea Roth) where Rachel put the phone at the ears of charlie. It doesn't sounds like the voice of Liz Mitchell.
Every time I see one new promo, looks more to "Falling Skies". I'm not saying I don't like Falling Skies, but It isn't a really good series. We'll see, but seems like "Revolution" will be a new "Falling Skies" or "Terra Nova", more relationships between characters that action and science fiction
It has also been described as " a high octane thriller" as well. Lost and especially Alias had a lot of nice action scenes, so I don't think it won't have a fair amount, especially since the actors have trained for their character's skill set...
In another the first trailer you can see that the character Grace (Maria Howell) has the USB-like device and sits at the computer....IMO I think it parallels scenes in LOST. When Walt made contact with Michael, as Michael used the Swan's vintage apple computer to do so. Additionally Grace reminds me of Bea (Beatrice) Klugh, an other whom Walt was spending time with, as Missing Pieces("Room 23" and "The Deal") also shows us that Juliet and Ben were talking about, suggesting they were testing his abilities at the Hydra... Only fools are enslaved in time and space!
I know, I feel bad too! But I'm not sure if it was because she decided to quit or something, or this decision made reluctantly (I don't know if that is the right word, but that's what Google Translate gave me :) ).
She most definitely did not quit. The official reason is because they decided to go in a different direction with the character, which means nothing. My guess is Roth didn't test well with audiences, Abrams really wanted to work with Mitchell again, or the network thought Mitchell was a higher profile name.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Not that extended... :)

ReplyDeleteThe end is definitely new stuff, and intriguing stuff at that. Looking forward to checking this one out.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand, they just replaced her with Elizabeth?
ReplyDeleteYes, now Elizabeth Mitchell leads the role of Rachel, the mother.

I so want to see this show right now
ReplyDeleteThat's a great change in my opinion, but it's insulting for the one who has been replaced isn't it? Or is there a good reason for that?
ReplyDelete'So...what now' love it!! Can anyone make out who hands/fingers were typing?
ReplyDeleteReminded me a little of Jericho, and a nice nod to Fringe! I can't wait!!!!

ReplyDeleteNice to have the new footage of Elizabeth Mitchell in the mix!

ReplyDeleteI feel bad for Andrea Roth, but I think this change will be better for the show. It's too bad they can't write her in a new part at some point.

ReplyDeleteThey were going to show a 6 minute trailer. I feel gypped.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dahne. I read too, that their reason was "different direction", but I think that even that has with all the things Dahne said.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why i thinking think of the Apple computer,it never even dawned on me..but yeah, definitely!
ReplyDeleteI like the looks of this new show. It has that "end of the world" story line that has become so popular with shows like "The Walking Dead", etc.
ReplyDeleteIf the writing is good and there is chemistry between these characters on screen, it could be fun to watch.
My thoughts exactly. There wasn't really any new stuff it in.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Giancarlo to me.
ReplyDeleteThanks to both of you. I can see why they did this, but that's still not nice for Roth.
ReplyDeleteThat's who i thought it was!
ReplyDeleteGus Fring from Breaking bad as a bad guy once more? End of the world type scenario? Revolution? Liz Mitchell? action? Overgrown cities? I'm in...
