  1. This show is vastly underrated. Charles S Dutton has been a favorite since Roc and was great tonight.

  2. Great finale. I like that we finally got a little exposition on the vague flashbacks that they have been showing us over the season, but kinda wish that they would move a bit more quickly on that plot. Even though there wasn't any resolution or a cliffhanger to leave us with, I'm looking forward to when the show returns.

  3. I don't really feel like we know any of the characters...even basic facts about them. :-( The only one I really like is Lou Diamond Philips and I think that is just leftover habit from 20 years of knowing who he is. I mean we don't know anything concrete about him, but you understand the role he plays in the dynamic. IMO they really let the character develop fall through the cracks, which is a shame because as a procedural it doesn't have a lot going for it on the excitement front. New Mexico is awfully pretty though.

  4. This is one of those shows that I'm willing to stick with for a 2nd season, but it is also one of those shows that is need of some tweaking to make it long-term viable (IMO obvs). Top of my list is some major character development or at least basic exposition. I know nothing about anybody. If they are going to try to keep the dialogue down, then they need to be way more judicial about the scripting. Again, we need development, interpersonal relationships, character motivations not just taciturn sheriff refuses to get cell phone. It's not a bad premise but they haven't grown anything past that and frankly the cases are no where near interesting enough to last an hour without liking or at least being interested in the investigators.
