Ok episode. I was kind of annoyed by the sense of calm in Charleston. I mean I would want to have some sort of normalcy in an alien war, but come on, I'd also want to kick 'em off our planet.
Anyway, a little interesting with the ending and the coup and we haven't really seen an alien in weeks, hope next week delivers a lot on that front.
Took me a long time to watch this ep. I was kind of anxious about watching the dream of Charleston die the slow death it did. But I thought it was a pretty good ep. Loved the scene with Pope and Manchester. Trying to remember how many eps we have left...several of my shows said tonight and I can't keep them straight. :-)
Awesome. We all suspected Charleston would quickly turn out bad, but I was surprised how that came about--a tyrannical dictator ruining everything (Terry O'Quinn, great as usual). Also, seriously, how did anyone think it was a good idea to pile hundreds of people in one place underground?
I have had my about Charleston since Amelia Earhart showed up! It's a "Be careful what you wish for" or maybe even "If it looks too good to be true..."
Terry O'Quinn.... reprising his John Locke role! Ha! So concerned with being the Prez and creating his OWN government - utopia, that he's nutty and completely paranoid. I was waiting for the Smoke Monster to rear it's ugly head. Seemed a little odd that such high ranking military officials would just bow down to Manchester's whims. Gen Bressler, and Col Porter doing whatever he said, just seemed unrealistic to me. But the coup, this concerns me. Porter I trust, Bressler not so much.
Loved watching Dr. Glass give that surgeon a lesson in humility. Like I said last week- and Hal finally SAID it... What was before was before, life is not the same as you once knew it. Quit being smug, and help those who are sick- even those snot nosed brats w lice!
Pope's Temptation Meal scene was awesome! I had a brief - just a split second- where I was worried Pope would do something to screw things up...... but I think Pope is finally coming around. Maybe not the perfect little soldier- but a valued member of the 2nd. It's almost like Pope n Tom have a semi love/hate relationship. Like a sibling. One who fights with or belittles their own sib silly, but won't allow anyone else to do so.
I have really enjoyed this season, even more so than last! Next week's ep looks CRAZY good!!! Am very anxious and can not wait...... and those "Last five minutes........" well, I think that this cliff hanger is gonna drive me buggy....... because next season is going to take WAY too long to get here!
Loved it! Even though it was more of a means to setup the finale, the intro of TOQ's character and the naive obliviousness that was the Charleston community leadership and the general outsider's theme for the 2nd Mass was a great twist to throw at us. Soooo looking forward to the finale and the outcome from the trailer for next week!
I can understand wanting to bury your head and ignore what is really going on. That is good for the men, women, and children that cannot battle. Those that can fight, should be out there protecting and proactively readying for the battle you know is going to come. The aliens aren't going to just go away. Can't wait for the season finale!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Imagine how awesome a fight between the Aliens vs Smokie would be! I don't think the aliens would stand a chance.
