I was expecting more out of what was so bad in Maggie's past that was worth keeping secret, but it seemed generic. Liked the stuff with Weaver and the Berserker guy. Lourdes seemed to just have a complete 180 at the end, hopefully we still see some lingering effects of Jamil otherwise it won't seem realistic.
Looking forward to the inevitably bad things that come out of Charleston. And what was the point of the girl with the broken harness?
Decent set up ep with good development with Maggie and especially the Tector character. I figure that the roaming harness girl will come back in a later ep, but I did think that having Matt buddy up to the girl (who looked like she was transforming into a skitter hybrid) was obvious, but you'd think that Tom would've told him not to tell her where they were going as she could be a leak in the future which could end up biting them in the butt
I can't help but think that the reminder of what the harnesses can do, in terms of mutating kids, is going to come back and be important. Still thinking Charleston is going to turn out to be bad. Though looking at the promos...it may not be the way I thought things were going to be bad...but I still don't have a good feeling.
I don't really mind the character episodes but this deep into the season I would have like at least one other sub plot in the ep that moved the big stories along.
As slow-moving as a long car trip. I have forgotten some of season 1 way back and I don't remember who those soldiers were who greeted Weaver. Turns out Maggie's tougher than she looks, having robbed for drug money. Glad they're in Charleston. Finally. Next week looks awesome, with "John Locke."
My TWO big questions- which haven't really even been mentioned......
1) Last episode, we learn Ben "Vulcan mind-melded" w the Overlord... "it's a two way street, I know what they are about." And I understand that Tom n Ben were saying goodbye, but DANG, dad or not..... Hey Ben, before you go along on your merry way n join the resistance.....WHAT'S THE INVASION ALL ABOUT?"
2) Skitter/hybrid girl...... Okay, Tom has lots on his mind, but wouldn't any sane parent (not to mention Weaver- or even Dr. Glass) stop little Matty from giving out ALL the details of their missions n plans. Karen n the Overlord set up Hal to "find" all those kids- including Karen, so why wouldn't they just "toss" a hybrid girl at the caravan? Seems Overlord-Fishy to me.
Liked all the character backgrounds, especially Tector's. I figured there was something with him, he was too well trained. On a side note Ryan Robbins needs a new home (the Sanctuary is closed), I'm glad he's becoming a major player.
As for Maggie's Confession, I was a little disappointed in Hal. What was before is BEFORE. Nothing in the world is going to ever be the same, so why would it matter now. I'm sure everyone of them has made choices they don't like or are ashamed of, but that life is long gone, and Maggie has proven herself- time and again.
Locke Returns: and as a President? Yikes, things looks a little tense in Charleston! I'm worried about the 2nd mass's treatment - I say they should just go ahead with Weaver's plans, find a place to start anew!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteThe Falling Skies episode last night was not good. It was the worse and most disappointing episode of the season
ReplyDeleteAgreed with this being whole set-up ep.......

Sad only a couple eps left!
