  4. That's slightly awkward, the daughter and the mother are like the same age!!

  5. I love that while Snow is all empathic and touching, Emma does not exactly know how to react.

Sure those are her parents, bu they also are complete strangers she did not know about for 28 years, living in pretty much hell of real life and this is clearly awkward.

    I love it.

  10. Emma has a hard enough time with the concept of motherhood, its pretty obvious she going to have the same problem being a daughter..

  11. Yeah, let alone they abandoned her and in appearance their close in age. Has to def be weird. XD

  12. You can say that again!

  13. Emma has a hard enough,blah,blah,blah,lol.... Have you voted for Fringe yet? We need to get the word out!!!

  14. This is going to be the most akward family reunion ever, and i can't wait

  15. They didn't abandon her, though.

  16. This should be an interesting conversation.

  17. Well, what I mean is she was left alone with out her family for 28 years of her life. Her childhood was most likely a hard and dark one (since it was SO hard for her to believe in magic and/or believe in herself), so even though they are here now, doesn't necessarily make up for the fact that they took a chance by sending their baby to some other foreign land, to be raised by other people, only to hope that she would have a reason to come back and try to save and/or restore themselves, let alone the consequences of letting these people, who where also left in the dark, have to deal with the fact they have memories of two lives and in some cases, to be very different people than whom they were. To say that Emma doesn't have abandonment leading to trust issues, I think would be a lie, but I do think that being with Henry, worrying about him, makes her not want to repeat the same actions her parents did, and this might be where the bridge to being able to understand her parent's faith and choice...

  18. It's just awkward to see your daughter as old as you are...

  19. I just hope they address the fact that while their memories were gone, Snow White and Charming were intimately involved with other people. I don't want to see them leap over that. It's a big deal and it should be treated like one.

Granted, Charming was "married" and Snow just had a one night stand, but it still needs to be handled. I'll be extremely disappointed in the writers if they choose to ignore it.

  20. That's a good question, there are so many new characters being introduced this season i don't know how much they plan on getting into these type of things..I can't imagine them not addressing it but i think the question is when?

  21. Talk about awkward. But I'm really excited! I've been ready for their reunion since the pilot.

  22. Not willingly.

But in her mind they were NOT there. There can be many reasons, but she did not have those parents and now they are there and its not why they were not there that matters. Its the fact that they were not. It got to be hard for her to accept them or not to blame them.

  23. Real life might have been hard, but the alternative is that she would have been cursed or killed by the Queen so she couldn't ever break the curse. That would have sucked, especially if no one was around to break it or if she was, you know, dead. xD There's always perspective.

  24. Even when the reason for this is magic, it's gotta be awkward :)

  25. The reunion is making me more excited for the premiere. The excitement and hurt and awkwardness of this picture is too much.

As soon as September 24 gets here (Castle's morning after!), I want September 30 to arrive. Two of my shows return that night and this will air first. The 25 will have to come first though (NCIS post-explosion!)

  26. I didn't say it wasn't at all justifiable, just that it came with a price.

  27. I agree, but there is also the realization that Katherine loved somebody else too. I don't think the writers will skim over the fact that these people will have to struggle with their identities in ways that could be very conflicting...They went out of their way to suggest so through Jefferson, when he explained to Regina that he didn't want Gracie to "remember" him.-He feared for the consequences of that, so I have little doubt that this will be part of what the season is about, acceptance and reconciliation of what it was they 'paid for' to break this curse...

  28. I didn't mean anything major. I was just being chatty to give perspective. This show doesn't operate on a normal Psych 101 level. It's hard to get behind Emma dissing Snow and Charming for "abandonment" because of the alternative.

    ReplyDelete
  29. The difference there however is that Grace would not KNOW that Jefferson being her father was the 'truth' because she would still be affected by the curse. Her struggle would be deciding what was real and what was not. Now that the curse is broken though everyone 'knows' for sure what is real (their former fairytale lives) and what is not (they're made up memories).

  30. Abandonment or not (let the discussions continue) it sure has to be weird and kinda creepy from Emma's perspective.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Weird family tree - Regina is step-mother to her foster-son's grandmother... XD

    ReplyDelete
  32. It's all good! Chat away! XD...

Ya, unless breaking the curse ends up being worse. In some ways Mary Margaret has already been pushy in her opinions towards Emma...It's hard to say how she will behave now remembering who she once was, but as Mary Margaret she has times where one minute she's naive and the next where she's kind of unfairly self righteous/jugemental...I just sense that when push comes to shove, Emma may have a few words (I would. And I actually am adopted)

  33. Actually both lives are "real". Memory is the key to existence/knowing oneself and or perception of reality, -and these people have been stuck in their Storybrooke time bubble for 28 years that came with new experiences. The curse was a limiting reincarnation of sorts. To say that their new existence isn't an existence, and doesn't have it's own truth would be inaccurate. Just because it's a different kind of existence/experience doesn't mean it isn't real.. I think in any case to have to choose which persona of memories to believe in is going to be hard (the writers actually said so in an interview). And Fringe fans know this all too well...

  34. DarthLocke4, it's your favorite fan. I love it when you post. Your passion for the shows you like is heroic!

  35. Oh! ::blushes:: Thank You, Moonvamp! It's true, I can be a little passionate.
-And, What's your two cents about this reunion?! (:

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm confused and will have to watch those episodes again. Regina has no magic so how would she lift the curse from Grace? As far as the memories, I thought they were created and time didn't actually begin until Emma arrived in Storybrooke. Looking at conversations between Gold and Regina and even Charming and Gold in the pawn shop. I didn't think the memories were real. Also, Mary Margaret not remembering her past and telling Emma that she must be too busy to remember. That's how I perceived it anyways.

  37. What you said. lol Seriously tho...I am going to pull the dumb blonde act. It's too soon to guess because nothing is what it seems in the world of Once Upon a Time.

  38. I'm really looking forward to this upcoming season. I can't wait to see this scene!

Also, I really like SpoilerTV's latest change, wrapping each network's tv show list in the top banner into a more manageable box, as opposed to one long list that often extended beyond my 14" laptop's display. Kudos! (Still hate that 'down'/dislike button though.)
