    Joe marries Elaina (The Russian girl) and Mel performs their ceremony in City Hall (where she works) because someone from the government comes over to her house to verify that they are getting married for real and not so that Elaina stays for the Green Card, so Mel tries to save the day. Joe decides to marry her so she can stay in the US, but after they get married, she bails on him and leaves to Russia. Mel is wildly jealous. "Mel Marries Joe" is a play on words. #MelissaJoey writers are super smart.
