Hell on Wheels - Episode 2.09 - Episode Snippets

For episode 2.09 of Hell On Wheels, the role of John Carver is being cast. He is a young businessman representing the board of Credit Mobilier who comes to Hell On Wheels with two other businessmen in response to a letter from Lily Bell, who wrote to the board about something terrible having happened. In a scene that could be either a dream or a flashback, the businessmen question a man whose face we don't see in Cullen's caboose, which has been charred in a fire, along with much of Hell On Wheels. (Hmm... I wonder what happened to Durant, since he's been living in the caboose.) The businessmen are trying to find out what caused the fire, and between scenes of questioning the unknown man are other scenes showing Hell On Wheels burning. Eventually, we see that the man being questioned in the caboose is Cullen, who appears to be injured and in shock.
