My theory is that they get sent back in time by the Angels to when Melody regenerated as a child last season, and get to bring her up and take her to become their mate Mels back in Leadsworth when they were young. Would be a perfect resolution imo.
The Doctor also destroyed them all in the Time War before he became 9, and previous Doctors to that also ended them. The reason they are his nemesis is because they keep finding a way to come back.
You remember how in Series 1, Rose killed all the Daleks? I got the impression from what the Doctor said at the end of the trailer, that Amy destroyed all the Daleks somehow. I am a bit worried it might be another one like it.
Ahh, you mean it being the companion rather than the Doctor doing the deed? Hmmm, it doesn't bother me too much tbh, was like 7 years ago that Rose as Bad Wolf eliminated them. If it is Amy then I would think that it would be told differently, as in she would be herself rather than a TARDIS'd up mofo companion, and the plot will be different.
Doctor Who is run completely differently to a lot of shows, with a different Show Runner on board every few years it reinvents itself on a regular basis. Moffat has a *very* different style to RTD when it comes to story telling, which is the reason I would be surprised if he copied a story of his from 7 years ago.
Oh crap, this looks bloody AMAZING. Now this is what one would call a great promo. Can't wait for the new episodes, but I'm sure aws Hel gonna miss the Ponds.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Can't wait for September to finally arrive!! This looks epic, I think Moff got it right when he said each episode looked and felt like a film :D
ReplyDeleteafl;jsadsjgfhdsgfh oh my god this looks amazing! I can't wait for the fall.
ReplyDeleteThe fall of the Ponds, or autumn, or both? :o hehe
ReplyDeleteDefinitely both! Haha.
ReplyDeleteGreat promo can't wait to start! Thank you, I'm hoping the when we say goodbye to Amy and Rory that they won't kill them.

ReplyDeleteWell nice theory we will see.
ReplyDeleteThis trailer looks very, very good. Hope I get caught up in time.
ReplyDelete-.- Really? Isn't that going to be exactly like Rose from the first series with Christopher Eccleston? Destroying ALL the Daleks?
ReplyDeleteThe Doctor destroys ALL the Daleks a lot of the time.....yet they still find a way of coming back. That's kinda the point ;)
ReplyDeleteNo, but I got the impression that Amy destroyed them. ALL of them. Rose did pretty much the same thing. They can't do that again.
ReplyDeleteThe Doctor also destroyed them all in the Time War before he became 9, and previous Doctors to that also ended them. The reason they are his nemesis is because they keep finding a way to come back.
ReplyDeleteYou're really not seeing my point...
ReplyDeleteSorry, obviously not. Perhaps if you explained more fully :)
ReplyDeleteWhat just happened??
ReplyDeleteNow, that's how you do a fantastic trailer!
I was expecting the dinosaurs to look a bit cheesy, but I think they look great from the clip :D

ReplyDeleteHopefully.
ReplyDeleteHopefully? I seriously doubt Moff with mirror what RTD did, what would be the point :s
ReplyDeleteWell I've seen a lot of shows where trey have one storyline, end it, then years later, do it again, and it's rubbish.

ReplyDeleteThe Doctor. Woooo Hooooo Great trailer. Fantastic Show.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to the dinosaurs on the spaceship just for the fact that The Doctor seems so damn giddy about it.
ReplyDeleteLooks great - dinosaurs!! I will miss Rory though :(
ReplyDeleteMe too.:-( Rory is by far the best in Moffat's Doctor Who for me.
ReplyDeleteThey aren't going to supercede River's eventual death.
ReplyDeleteI say they get turned into Angels and look at each other (freezing them forever) so they don't ever hurt anyone.
I don't understand, how would that supersede River dying in the library? That happens after Mels regenerates into River, not before.
