Dark Tower - Warner Bros. passes on project

Aug 21, 2012

An adaptation of Stephen King’s opus The Dark Tower won't be hitting screens, big or small, anytime soon.

Warner Bros. has passed on the project, making it the second studio to do so.
The high-profile and ambitious package had Ron Howard attached to direct and Brian Grazer producing a script from Akiva Goldsman. It was to consist of three movies and two TV miniseries.
The studio looked at the package as part of its weekend read and decided to pass.

  1. I hope when it happens Akiva will be a part of it. *sigh*

  2. I really wanted this until a few weeks ago when Russell Crowe's name was attached to play Roland and that would have been fucking awful. I just need HBO to make a series out of it, I think they would be able to do it justice.
