Malcolm McDowell is poised to make history, or at least teach it. He has booked a guest-starring role on NBC's cult favorite, Community.

The actor, whose numerous TV credits include gigs on Heroes, Entourage and Franklin & Bash, will check in to Greendale and play a history professor on the upcoming fourth season of the comedy. He's poised to appear in 2 episodes as Professor Cornwallis.

Malcolm McDowell joins Matt Lucas as having booked multiple-episode gigs on the series, which returns in its new Friday time slot starting October 19 at 8:30 pm.

— A few pictures from the first days on set :

- Dean Pelton is ready for the Senior Year :

- Food fight ? That'd be an interesting idea (but judging by the waste, Walter Bishop wouldn't be happy).

- New season, new haircut :

  1. Nice. Malcolm McDowell could work well as a new teacher. I like that they're bringing back some of the random class aspect of the show from Season 1.

  2. Have to say I always have time for Malcolm, Community continues to get great guest stars.

  3. Why only two episodes? That's my only complaint. I'm not saying he should be in every episode, but last season I felt Michael Kenneth Williams wasn't in enough episodes and was almost wasted in the role.

  4. Cool. Like it. He should be a good fit, I think.
