"We picked 'Asylum' because it not only describes the setting — an insane asylum run by Jessica Lange's character which was formerly a tuberculosis ward — but also signifies a place of haven for the unloved and the unwanted," executive producer Ryan Murphy said in a statement. "This year's theme is about sanity and tackling real-life horrors."

So, I'm a little confused, but yay!
ReplyDeleteIf it's in terms of the name I think rather than just "American Horror Story Season 2" it'll be "American Horror Story: Asylum". I think it's something you see more in places like Japan and sometimes even British series.
ReplyDeleteAh, got it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteNice! Sets it apart from all the other shows that do season 2, 3, etc. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's the only show in our decade that I have even heard about that actually titles its seasons. It really sets it apart, I don't know whether good or bad, but the ratings will prove that once the 2nd season starts airing.
ReplyDeleteSpartacus also did it with 'Blood and Sand,' 'Gods of the Arena,' 'Vengeance,' and the upcoming 'War of the Damned.'
ReplyDeleteYeah it's also something comic books do quite often too. Like Superman: Infinity Crisis, Batman: Arkham City, True Blood: French Quarter, ect....In fact I think Heroes did this too! -It's a great way to solidify a specific theme to keep in mind (:
ReplyDeleteHeroes volume one: Genesis
ReplyDeleteVolume two: Generations
Volume three: Villains
Volume four: Fugitives
Volume five: Redemption
Is spartacus any good? Do they have an end date? or are they making it up as they go alone? Or is it anthology in a way?
ReplyDeleteIt's fantastic, and no, they can't make it up as they go along because it's rooted in history and they feature all of the historical events. This upcoming third season will be the last one.
ReplyDeleteThe first season didn't have a title, did it? Unless it was "House?"
ReplyDeleteGreat title tbh, I can't wait for season 2 to start airing!
