When asked about what attracted her to the role Erin said that she liked the idea of having a new ability every week. As she said this, the thought occurred to me that she might be able to copy (cat) another alpha’s ability. Erin addressed this question which I’m sure was on a number of the interviewer’s minds. Erin told us that she will only be able to learn action from watching or reading. With that in mind I think her ability will likely include a fair amount of thought, with some kickass action thrown in the middle. So it’s still a possibility, but I don’t expect to see her “pushing” anyone like Nina can.
The first question that I asked was, “How do you think you compare to your character personally?” Erin was a little unsure about how she compares Cat. She said that she shares a sense of humor with Cat. Cat always finds something funny to say in any situation also like herself. She further said that she thinks her acting has worked some of her own dry sense of humor into her character. Erin thinks that Cat is a tenacious/stubborn alike to her own personality.
The second question that I asked was, “If you had to describe your character in one word what would it be and why?” Erin was amused by the question. She had used the word irreverent a lot and believed that to be the one word to describe her. Something tells me that she and Gary might have a bit of fun playing jokes on the other Alphas. Erin seemed to really enjoy her job and spoke highly of the other cast members. She was a lot of fun to talk with. Follow her on twitter @erinjoway.
