Can. Not. Wait. No spoilers, no worries there - but if they do half the stuff that happens in the comics and half their own thing - the season will be the best ever.
I wholeheartedly agree. The comics taking place in the prison are the most violent, most visceral of the series, and also the best ones imo. I strongly feel that the quality of The Walking Dead has declined after the prison. Let's hope they make the best of the huge potential lying ahead.
If the writers follow the comics and if Andrew Lincoln truly becomes Rick Grimes (I'm not smitten by his acting so far, but he'll have plenty of opportunities to show his skills in a near future), he will definitely get an Emmy nom, the show will push the limits of TV-MA, and I'm certain we'll have one of the best shows on TV (TWD is not there yet, but season 2 was an improvement over the disappointing 1st season on every level, in my opinion (except the brilliant pilot)).
Agreed - I think this season will have some awesome set pieces and will give the actors a lot to explore. I didn't read how many episodes they got - can anyone clarify that for me (I'm too lazy to look - poor excuse I know :( )
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Looks awesome! I can't wait! :D Hoping for darker stories this season!

The whole "We Are The Walking Dead" speech ALONE would get him a nomination.
ReplyDeleteI did read the comic that takes place in the prison. It is pretty gruesome.

ReplyDeleteMaggie is looking like a bad-ass now. Maybe she'll become what Andrea should have been in the comics.
ReplyDeleteDamn, Maggie. Go on with your bad self.
ReplyDeleteI think the change in showrunner for this show is actually for the better. :)
ReplyDeleteNice, loving the action shots and can't wait. Fall is too far away...
ReplyDeleteWhat Andrea should've been in the comics? Andrea's pretty bad-ass in the comics.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I meant that, but in the TV show, she's just wimpy and arrogant.
