Episode 8.04 of Supernatural will be called "Bitten".

It will feature, Kate a possible recurring guest who is described as a pretty coed. Also a character called Michael who falls in love with Kate but their relationship is hindered by a supernatural force. And finally Brian, Michaels best friend who hates Michaels relationship with Kate

A college professor named Ludensky, who has a secret past, is also being cast.

    The title screams vampire. The love triangle screams CW.

    so true! well the show is based on relationships. there have been a lot of monsters/demons etc that came back because of relationships gone sour.

    Vampires? Makes sense if Kate becomes recurring and the season is supposed to be vamp heavy. Though 5 is rumoured to be Ben Edlund's 'Vampirates' episode so I'm not sure we'd have 2 in a row?
    This does kinda remind me of CSPWDT, sounds quite interesting, wonder how they'll link this MOTW to the brothers story?
    Bring season 8 on already

    Never have been a fan of the love triangle. I hope it's not as central as it sounds to the episode. Or it's not really a love triangle at all.

    Wasn't Kate the name of the vampire who was in love with Luther in Dead Man's Blood? And didn't John say that once a vampire got someone's scent they never forgot it? Is there any chance the writers remember this fact, if this is going to be a vampire episode?

    Just speculation for now, but don't think that just because characters who are not the main ones are the protagonists of an episode, it means that the episode is not about the main characters.

    "...A character called Sam who falls in love with Amelia, but their relationship is hindered by the fact that Sam deals with the supernatural [and clearly hasn't told her, as we've seen from Sam's flashback in 8x03]. And finally Dean, Sam's brother, who hates Sam's relationship with Amelia [not because of Amelia per se, because it represents Sam abandoning him]."

    This could be about Sammy wanting out all over again. Or there could be other parallels, it's difficult to tell from a summary. The point is, things happening in the A plot may not look related to the bigger themes at first, but they almost always mirror at least in part what's happening in the C plot.
