    I've gotta stop reading Jeff Davis twitts... he plays with my Sterek feelings, teases amd then destroy the dream...

    Man this episode was AWESOME! It started out great like almost all the
    episodes of Teen Wolf and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole episode (was it
    just me or was this episode funnier than usual?), but what made it
    truly awesome was the ending which I felt like knocked the episode out
    of the park. I can't wait to see next week's episode after watching this one, it got me pumped!



    I think this week really reminded me that part of the reason why I
    didn't enjoy last weeks episode quite as much and it was that it
    included the three new wolves in Derek's pack. Now I would be totally
    open to their characters if they were portrayed as a little more than
    one-dimensionally and if I didn't feel like they were just used as
    generic plot devices (basically whatever Derrick needs lately). As of
    right now I just feel generally bored with all them-there's no mystery
    and I wouldn't even mind if they got killed off. With the main
    characters this week I didn't even once feel that and even the nameless
    emo boy that approached Lydia with her dog managed to arouse my
    curiosity and want to find out more (if he's a good guy or part of a
    darker plan).



    But I guess that's one of the downfalls of having a 12 episode season.
    The writers have actually been managing to do a really excellent job
    cramming a lot into a small season (I can't believe next week is the 7th
    episode already), but I guess they can't fully develop everything. On
    the other hand having 12 episodes also seems to have served them really
    well in a lot of ways because they've made the pace really fast and
    tight (in a good way) and had they had more episodes I think the season
    probably would have suffered from some episodes that felt like they were
    lagging.



    Anyway I really loved this episode. Stiles as always was too
    hilarious-the gay bar scenes have to be some of my favorite from the
    series as far scenes that have made me laugh. And the stakes have really
    been raised for next week! I'm dying to see what Jackson told his
    father and the Sheriff, whether Allison tells Mr. Argent the whole
    truth, whether Scott and Stiles tell the Sheriff the truth now, and who
    is "controlling" Jackson.



    One thing is for sure. Jeff Davis was right when he said that the
    biggest mystery of the season wasn't who the kanima was and that the
    reveal wouldn't slow down or ruin the rest of the season. In my opinion
    it's improved the season so far!

    I almost had an hysterical fit cause I logged on and disqus was down.


    I LOVED this episode. Full on awesome! Just everything. The extended trip to Stiles-ville. The whole club scene had me laughing out loud.


    The scene with Daddy and Granddaddy Argent surprised me because I really expected Daddy Argent to ask why Grandaddy just let Scott go.


    Poor Lydia. Lamenting no one having time to listen to her.


    I almost softened to Jackson....and with the phrase "that means lawyer" it was gone.


    Can we officially classify Allison as being emotionally abused? Cause what her grandfather did to her followed by what her Mom. Yeesh!


    Now, who is controlling Jackson? That "mistake" with the translation is adding strength to my theory that she's the one.


    I'll probably be back to add more after I watch again. But this ep was awesome.

    I totally agree with you about Derek's pack. Isaac and Barbie Wolf (can't remember her name) have always felt like cannon fodder. I have never expected them to survive the whole season. If Barbie Wolf does (have you seen any of the photo recaps on tv.com...hysterical, especially the one for last week's ep making fun of her and her quest for Scott.) survive the season I will be shocked.

    what about grandpa Argent? he was just standing there and staring; even Chris found it weird enough to question it. and then all the stuff he said about using your enemies against each other...maybe grandpa is trying to use jackson to get rid of the wolves...

    That dude is just freaking weird and dangerous. I think you're right about the plan to use Jackson as the weapon to kill Derek.


    Both Argent men have painted a target on Derek's back but I thought Daddy Argent knew it was Peter who killed his homicidal sister?


    Oh! it just occurred to me....there is someone controlling Jackson. Does this someone *have* to also be a Kanima?

    Haha, yes I LOVE Price's photo recaps! They seriously make my day every time that I read them. His comments and wit make me bust out laughing half the time-or at the very least with a huge grin on my face.

    I actually read the Vampire Diary ones too, which actually make me laugh harder because Price tends to use more photos in those and do a little less reviewing and more recapping (both the Teen Wolf and Vampire Diaries ones are awesome, they just have a little bit of different styles).

    I wasn't actually sure why Chris didn't ask Girard why he let Scott go
    the first time that I watched the episode either. But when I went back
    and rewatched the episode, I'm pretty sure that it's because the
    headlights were shining in his eyes and he had no idea that it was Scott
    that shoved the Kanima away. I can't be sure, but I think that Chris
    wasn't able to see what happened beyond shapes-he probably assumed it
    was Derek that saved him.





    And yes I too actually started to feel bad for Jackson like you until he
    got that cocksure grin on his face when Scott and Stiles walked into
    the Sheriff's office. I think part of the reason why the scene with
    Jackson worked so well (as far feeling bad for him) was that the
    writer's did a really good job with that particular scene and relating
    it back to Scott. It's hard to sympathize with Jackson because he wanted
    to be a werewolf so bad that he ignored everyone that told him that
    there would be consequences. But Scott made a very well thought out
    argument and articulate argument that actually did draw a lot of
    parallels to the situations that he had been in during season 1. It made
    me wonder without Allison or Stiles how much like Jackson Scott would
    have turned out (hence the flash in the pan sympathy).



    And yeah Grandpa Argent and Mrs. Argent are definitely pushing Allison
    into the category of emotionally abused. It wasn't bad enough that
    Allison had to really watch her relationship with Scott before, but now
    her mom's threatening to kill Scott just because she knows simply how
    Allison feels (not even the sneaking around). And I have a feeling based
    on spoilers that something is going to push Allison towards her grandpa
    and to become even more like Kate was over the rest of the season and
    that he's going to continue to manipulate her-at least her dad has
    morals and values (I actually really like Chris).



    I can't quite commit to saying that this was my favorite episode this
    season without going back and watching all the other episodes, but I'm
    almost sure that it is. This episode just had the perfect mix of what I
    love so much about Teen Wolf-action with a perfect mix of comedy mixed
    in, but also a reminder of who these characters are at heart and what
    motivates and drives them (that's one thing that this show consistently
    impresses me with-it really tries to make the characters relatable in
    someway or at least show where their decisions, actions, thoughts, etc
    stem from).

    It could be grandpa Argent, he does seem the likely candidate, but on the other hand I sort of feel like they're making it too obvious at this point. I think that Girard does have something weird going on with him what all with the pills, stabbing Scott, etc and he may very well be planning on letting the Kanima live if it means that it might kill Derrick or kill other people that he feels are worth killing (his moral code is a lot more gray than Chris's), but I think that right now the fact that he feels like he's the most obvious suspect probably means that he's not (that he's a red herring).

    But then again the writer's could be playing with us and trying to make it seem that because he's so obvious now it's safe to rule him out, so that he'll be discounted as a suspect as the season goes on and then end up surprising us in the end. Either way there's a lot they can do in 6 episodes and I'm looking forward to whatever they have planned!

    Interesting. Grandpa argent never entered my mind as running the Kanima. Very interesting theory....possibly not that obvious given that Grandpa hates all things not human.
