NBC's Parks and Recreation is traveling to Washington, D.C. this month to shoot an episode inside the Beltway. The show will feature cameos from U.S. Senators Barbara Boxer (D-California), John McCain (R-Arizona) and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine).
"Ms. Knope Goes to Washington" (the episode's title) will follow Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), fresh off her election to the Pawnee city council, as she travels to D.C. to visit flame Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott). As they attempt to make their long-distance relationship work (you may recall that Ben, having successfully managed Leslie's council run, accepted a job to run a congressional campaign), Ben invites Leslie to a cocktail party attended by high-powered politicians — where she runs into Senators Boxer, McCain and Snowe.
