Rest in Peace.
I loved him. My grandma and I would watch Matlock at night whenever I spent the night and my grandpa and I would watch The Andy Griffith Show in the afternoon. I have that theme song as a ring tone.
ReplyDeleteI used to watch the Andy Griffith Show when I was young and loved it. Years later I watched it again with my young son and from his reaction I knew he felt the same way. It's a show that I don't believe will ever lose its charm. R.I.P. Andy, you entertained millions and as long as there are re-runs will continue to do so.
ReplyDeleteI also grew up watching the Andy Griffith Show,i loved him and Oppie! Its so nice to know you introduced your son to the show and that he likes it,its a nice tradition to pass on.Never know, one day he might do the same! :)
ReplyDeleteI remember being a kid my mother would have Andy Grifffith playin none stop on tvland when i would get ready for school. I learned to love the show and Matlock was my show!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura. I believe The Andy Griffith Show is one of the few shows different generations can really enjoy. My son's in his mid twenties now and hopefully sometime in the not too awful distant future he will get the chance to pass it on.
ReplyDeleteI agree! Isn't it funny, when your want your child to do something they take there time, but when you don't want them to do something they rush and do it,:)
ReplyDelete.
Yes I can remember a few frustrating times dealing with a youngster with a will of his own. I also remember when I was a kid I could hardly be classified as an Angle. Going on six years ago now at my fathers funeral my Aunt (one of his sisters) gave an eulogy. She included of some of the things he got into when they were growing up. It brought a smile and a laugh from everybody, including myself, that was there. Somethings never change.
ReplyDeleteI think we are guilty of that to some degree. Some more than others, from what i heard my brother was a terror,so my aunt told me,yet my mother said he wasn't,he was a normal boy who liked to play tricks..he was probably a terror,ha!
