    Pretty cool spoiler for SPN, but that's for episode 2, not 3. She must have got mixed up the production number.

    Mythology fans, prepare to geek out. In Supernatural's third episode of the season, we'll meet Plutus, the host of a high-end auction who likes the bids to go higher and higher (how fitting considering Plutus is the God of wealth?), and Mr. Vili, who is after one of the auction's items and will do anything it takes to get it. In Norse mythology, Vili is one of the three gods of creation.


    The spoiler about Supernatural - although an extension of previous spoiler - only increases confusion about the episode number.

    Shocking that her Once spoiler is exactly the casting notice that has already made the rounds. And I like that in that casting notice is actually says 'of Jack and the Beanstalk fame' yet she acts as if she's giving new scoop there.

    So in the first 3 episodes of #Supernatural we will be taking on Roman, Norse, and Mayan mythology. I wonder if that's a season long theme in the making.

    Airing wise it is listed as 8.02 (second episode) but production wise it is listed as 8.03 (third episode to be shot). There is always confusion at the beginning of the year with Supernatural. When spoilers start coming out about episode 4 everything will be clearer since the shooting and airing numbers will be the same again, probably for the whole season.

    I don't really understand what mythology they are building for multiple seasons. I am eagerly waiting to know what actually this season is and it does seem different from previous seasons.

    If I had to guess it would be that this is the season of the Gods. Maybe some Pagan Gods are gunning for Kevin because with him they have the word of God. There was also that thing about the power source. I'd assume some Pagan Gods would want to get their hands on it too.

    Interesting stuff about SPN. Really looking forward to Sam and Dean on an interesting case, that seems like its going to further the seasons mythology arc. I wonder how they'll work the Purgatory flashbacks into this episode, which I believe is episode 2?

    I hope so. More fronts to take on count. We have the alpha vampire, demons, angels and maybe pagans? Whatever this power source is maybe the pagan gods want it to go back the way it was before. Or maybe I'm jumping to conclusions and it's only a coincidende that there are many gods in the first episodes.

    If they're weaving gods and deities throughout the season I'm really hoping they bring Kali back. I love how she and the Winchesters do not get along at all. It's amusing to watch.

    Except for the purgatory flashbacks, which sound great, all spoilers for S8 episodes sound like a rehash of S7's worst filler eps. Like Defending Your Life redux.

    It will be interesting watching the first two episodes. We should have a better idea of what's going on once we find out what they are searching for and why. I have a feeling we are going to learn that right up-front.

    While I agree that these episodes could go either way, and be fillers like some of the less coinvolging ones of season seven, I'm going to put on my optimistic suit until the first episodes air anyway, though you're right to be cautious as I rememeber looking forward to the idea of Dean being put on trial and Sam defending his brother, but it didn't quite turn out as it should have.

    However the spoiler about Sam going off and forgetting about Dean for a year is still there gnawing away at me.
    I hope there's a good reason for it like amnesia or something.
    Sam loves his brother and I'm fed up with the writers always trying to make out otherwise.

    I'm getting confused. The auction episode was listed as episode 2 and now it's 3 the one with Amelia? What episode is it supposed to be?

    The auction is #2 and Amelia is #3. The problem lies in the fact that spoilers are almost always given out as the number they air. Kristin is using the number that it is shot. It's confusing. Rigth now the episode that will air as 8.02 is being called 8.03 because they are shooting the first 3 out of order to accommodate Jensen as director. Because it is labeled as 8.03 and because Kristin knows next to nothing about Supernatural (just look at any press line interview she does), she mistakenly thought that meant it would be the third episode to air.
