I always loved Hank, even when he was an ass to Marie. Hopefully this will set up the epic showdown between him and Walt towards the end of the series.
By the way, did anyone else find Walter, Jr. a bit TOO excited? I mean, clearly this was the writers' way of providing exposition, but he seemed too excited that Gus is dead, and that he was a kingpin. It's not like they knew each other very well.
If there is justice in the world, the last five minutes of that episode will win him his fourth Emmy... and his acceptance speech will comprise of only two words: "I won."
The laughter of a psychotic break is just so hard to make seem realistic. All too often it comes off as evil maniacal laughter or some canned and cliche crazy cackling. Cranston's laugh was just in the sweet spot and you felt him snapping!
It's going to be so interesting to see what Walter does now that Gus is gone! I mean getting out from under him has been his mission for the better part of two seasons.
The first promo poster could have easily had "Now what?" as the tagline instead of "All hail the king."
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
July 15thhhhh
ReplyDeleteI hope that Hank is considered badass now that he was right. You can tell how jealous Walter will get because that man loves to be in control.
ReplyDeleteOMG, these 2 weeks are gonna be SO SLOOOW.

ReplyDeleteI am almost done with my BB re-watch and I think I can wait until the 15th to watch this.... maybe!
ReplyDeleteCraw Space hear I come!
I predict the next 11 days to be days of totally dysfunction .__.
ReplyDeleteCrawl Space has one of Bryan Cranston's best performances to date. His maniacal laughter at the end is... Undefinable.

As good as the laughing scene is, I still personally don't feel it tops his "I am the one who knocks" speech...
