  1. Interesting. Might actually give the show a watch then. Saw the first two episodes, and can't exactly say I was very impressed.

  2. Just like in Two and a Half Men - Martin Sheen guest starred, Denise Richards guest starred. I think at one point Emilio Estevez will jump in also

  3. So... how many episodes before they resorted to stunt casting was that?

  4. Where you ever impressed with Two and a Half Men?

  5. He`s a brilliant actor. He can handle comedy more than most of the supporting cast in this series.

  6. Martin Sheen is a great actor and his chemistry with his son is fun to watch on TV.

I'm betting FX is happy it took the chance on Charlie. The show is better than I expected....

  7. Should I even ask what were your expectations? :)

  8. Ha! XD

I guess I am more of a Charlie fan than many on this site at least. I thought it would be okay, but probably not a show I would after the pilot.

I watched the first 2 episodes and I thought it was good enough that I would check it out again. I actually set my DVR to record it every week.. I have not watched any more episodes yet though since I have been busy the last few weeks. I'm still not sure it is a weekly watch for me (especially if it was on during the normal TV season), but as a Summer sitcom I can see myself checking it out now and again.

  9. Not really no. But I laughed more at ANY episode of Two and a Half Men with Charlie, than I did in the first two Anger Management episodes.

  10. Fun thing about Martin's guest star on Two and a Half Men: He played the father of Rose (Charlie's stalker), and ended up stalking Charlie's onscreen mother at the end :P

  11. Great news.FX Is almost certinly going to order the back 90.
Any episode of Anger management Is funnier than 2 and a half men with Charlie.
And again Chalie was fired from 2and a half men because of falling out with Chuck Lowie.A lot of stars would be unemploymed If everyone who drank a lot, used drugs, and went to hookers were fired.
Martin Is a great actor who was robbed of never winning an emmy for the west wing. And I was shocked to see Denise Richards on the show.Funny how apart from tabloid storys working on one of her ex-Husband's shows gets her more attention than she has for years.

  12. I happened to watch the pilot episode and thought that show had no reason to exist other than Charlie Sheen trying to prove to his previous employers that he can go and make another hit show without them, just like they did by putting together a season of 2.5 men without Charlie. The reason I felt this way was the story of the pilot was just too generic and by the end of it I did not care about or like any of the characters. Does it get better, because if what I watched in the pilot was it...then it's not really good.

  13. I think they do establish Charlie fairly well and in the episodes after the pilot I've seen I connected more to him than in the pilot. That said, I still think the show is more of a "C+" than "A" material. That's why I have not been keeping up with it honestly. I just archived the episodes since it is summer and sitcoms are in shorter supply....

When I mentioned to my mom that it might get picked up she mentioned she absolutely LOVES the series. So some whatever... Some people can just watch Charlie and be happy I guess... I cannot.

To me it lacks a strong supporting actor and cast, but if Martin Sheen turns out to be a solid #2 lead that could all change and I could see myself watching it semi-regularly.
