White Collar - Season 4 - Victor Webster to guest star

4 Jun 2012

TVLine has learned that Webster has been tapped to guest star in Season 4′s ninth episode in a role I told you about last month — Eric Dunham, an aggressive top Wall Street trader who possesses “the demeanor of Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross and the build of young Sylvester Stallone.”

The Sly reference probably has to do with the fact that Eric is also an avid boxer, and he’ll have to put up his metaphorical dukes when the FBI suspects him of running an insider trading ring.

  1. Awesome! I'll always think of him as Coop on Charmed, tbh. (Liked him, hated Phoebe/Coop, though.)

  2. Blerg.  How does this meathead keep popping up on shows I watch?  XD

  3. Well, he wasn't Cole.

  4.  Yup. Phoebe/Cole all the way.

  5. He's keeping quite busy lately....

  6. Nobody could come near Cole... and that was the problem in the later seasons...

  7. Yeah, too true. He was a high point.

  8. With those looks and that body i'm not surprised..how are his acting skills?

  9. Yep. Coop sucked.

  10. It was an interesting relationship and not just lovey-dovey boring.

  11. I really liked Charmed and enjoyed watching Phoebe/Cole, so his character was kind of doomed to be from the beginning. The fact that I don't like his "acting" didn't help either.

  12. I know, RIGHT???!!! Is he blackmailing TV execs?

There are so many talented actors out there.

  13. He has no acting skills whatsoever IMO.

  14. I'd rather see other new faces with talent, but he sure is keeping busy lately.

  15. I must say I find it insulting that Victor Webster is supposed to be compared to Baldwin's face in the past. Webster is very good looking but he lacks charm... he is NO Alec Baldwin.

He does not live in the same kind of bubble as the young Jack Donaghy lived. Hell no.

  16.  Ha! I guess we/he couldn't ask for everything rolled into one! I don't believe i ever saw him in anything, that or he didn't leave an impression on me...Eye candy he will be!

  17. I didn't hate Coop, but he couldn't mesure up....

The thing is the moment the show began screwing Cole over as a character and started messing with Phoebe/Cole the way that they did they show started going south.

  18. It's a limited range I'll grant you, but it's not like he's tried for all that much. He is tall and good looking and has a nice warmth. He can play a nice guy pretty well. And he's a lot less sleazy than a young Alec Baldwin.

  19. There aren't that many tall, hot ones though.xD

  20. But the sleazy "thing" was the fun part and brought something extra to the characters. Well, Alec Baldwin might be an A-hole, yet he has charisma and can pull off even huge jerks making them somehow likeable and that is what I think this character was supposed to have (wall street, etc etc) and with Webster's limited range won't.

  21.  You really think Alex Baldwin was sleazy when he was in his 20's?

  22. Er...um...yes?? Working Girl? The Getaway? Marrying Man? He was as slimy as his hair gel. I mean it worked for him. It wasn't like he was a sleaze but you were supposed to like him. There's the suave, player, know I'm attractive and I'm going to use you and throw you away and there's the suave, player, know I'm attractive but underneath I have a heart and soul. I feel like he was the former. (It's why I never bought him as Jack Ryan even though Sean Connery the best) But that's just how I always felt about him--and fair or not Billy Baldwin never helped my impression much.

  23. For me, Alec Baldwin had to fight my initial reaction to his appearance to make the huge jerks somehow likeable, because he screamed slimy player so he had to get past that and then past the characterization. Webster doesn't have to fight as hard. I think he can pull it off. xD

  24.  I was curious, but hey just because i thought he was drop dead gorgeous at one time, doesn't mean you have to feel the same! Your the first person i met that felt that way, that's cool!  :)

  25. It is *possible* that I might be prejudiced against excessive hair gel. :-(

Yeah, I've always been a blonds with nice smiles kinda a girl, so that's probably part of it too.

  26.  And  its funny because blonds was always mre attractive to me..There was just something about him??
