    I think that Syfy picking up Rewind to series significantly decreases the chances of the network acquiring the US broadcast rights to Continuum.

    Been wrong before and I'll be wrong again, but I don't feel like Continuum is right for a US pickup.

    Especially considering the season will already have aired in Canada. It made sense to me for the US to try and catch up. US watchers will have figured out a download method long before January. It has a chatty fanbase that crosses borders.

    There aren't many US cable outlets besides Syfy that would pick it up and since they already have a show in the works about time travel and terrorism it probably won't be an issue anyway.

    there were supposed to be multiple interested networks
    maybe Reelz? since its been picking up alot of Shaw Media shows i'd prefer SyFy tho

     Reelz is the only other network that I can think of that would bite.  I'm sure that, just like you, Shaw Media would prefer that Syfy pick it up because the deal would be more lucrative.

    Im kind of surprised that ABC didnt pick up merlin. Merlin does have to deal with myth and magic. Theres no cursing from what i can remember and ABC is showing ONCE upon a TIME.

    I think NBC showed the first season (or part of the first season), but eventually it got kicked to SyFy.

    That's exactly what happened. First season on NBC for a summer run, and then succeeding seasons on SyFy, which is also part of NBCUniversal.
