Supernatural - Ultimate Episode Round 1B - Polls

Jun 5, 2012

Round 1A in our Ultimate Supernatural Episode Contest saw Death's Door, Frontierland, and Home heading into an easy victory. Things were closer with Bloody Mary vs Heart, but Heart eventually triumphed by a mere 6 votes. Thus proving that every vote counts in this contest. Also proving that while in predictions I'm batting 100% right now, in personal preference I'm at 25%. I foresee that trend holding, at least in the latter fact. Thanks to everyone who left a comment in the last round. It makes hellatus go faster when we discuss together. Don't forget to nominate your favorite quotes from Croatoan and Hunted too. Great episodes with great lines! Happy voting!

  1. Too easy. All the first choices.

  2. Dude, some of those were hard.

  3. Easy easy voting day for me:

    1.  No Rest for the Wicked - Blonde little girl Lilith was the creepiest of them all.  The ending was epic.  Ruby was ganked and for a whole 4 months I got to believe she was gone.  Dean's hellucinations.  Sam's desperation.  Bobby's brains.  It was a SPN finale and for most of them that's all I need to vote for it.

    2.  Scarecrow - This was the scariest monster we've ever had.  Fugly doesn't begin to describe it.  I liked how this episode also showed how the real monsters were human.  It also introduced Meg with that wow ending.  Plus the brothers were more in sync at the end, exactly what was needed to head into Faith.

    3.  Bad Day at Black Rock - One of the funniest episodes SPN has ever had.  From "I lost my shoe" to "I'm Batman," I spend most of the episode giggling.  Jesus Hunter also makes me laugh.  "Stop playing with my Jesus."  Fantastic episode from beginning to end.

    4.  The Devil You Know - I will be in the complete minority here but I loathe Yellow Fever and it's moronic plot.

  4. I thought they were super easy too, although I had a different vote for the last one.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Which ones gave you trouble?

    ReplyDelete
  6. I voted for No Rest For The Wicked, Scarecrow, Bad Day At Black Rock, and Yellow Fever.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Bad day at black rock and out with the old...similar vibes, went with classic over new. I think I liked out with the old because it had the right feel again. But season 7 was all about being desperate for the little things that made the boys the boys--nostalgia is a powerful thing.

  8. Perturbed with myself.  Saw the previous poll last night, got distracted by Teen Wolf and popped in too late today to play.  But I made my votes here!

    No Rest for the Wicked
    There Will be Blood
Bad Day at Black Rock ( an eenie meenie minie mo selection)
    Yellow Fever

  9. See?  This is more normal.  We agree and disagree.

    1) bizarre.  same choice but more for comparison...much as I really like the guy who  played the doctor in Time is On My Side...I just liked No Rest Better
    2) this was more a vote against Scarecrow for me.  (and I just rewatched it for your maddening quote contest, too. :-)  Loved the introduction of Meg, and the demon cellphone, but Dean's ineptitude...made me feel uncomfortable.

    3) agreed.- and lets not forget one of my favorite villains...Gordon Walker

    4) completely disagreed.  :-D

  10. I barely remember Out with the Old but I'm getting ready to do a massive 2 day season 7 rewatch so I look forward to seeing it like you do.

  11. I think you chose all the winners.  I can't see any of these losing this round.

    ReplyDelete
  12. No Rest for the Wicked - one of my favorite season finale's, and a great story because I really didn't know, even up to the last few minutes, if Dean would really go to hell. And he did! Ballsy, IMO, for the show to do that.

Scarecrow - Love this season 1 episode. Good brother stuff, we meet Meg, and the scarecrow was sufficiently creepy!

Bad Day at Black Rock - I actually paused for just a moment over this one, because I did like Out With the Old, but I think the nostalgia of Bad Day at Black Rock wins out; that, and it's so, so funny. Definitely one of my go-to episodes when I need a good laugh.

Yellow Fever - For the first time in this series of polls I had to go look up an episode because the title spurred no recognition. The Devil you May Know - I hardly remember it. I would have voted Yellow Fever regardless because I also find it quite funny, and tragic in a strange way. The ghost story is pretty silly, but I can forgive it for seeing Jensen do comedy. He's quite good at it.

As for the quote nominations. *sigh* I'm like three polls behind! But I'm trying!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Sorry.  The polls end 7 pm CST each day.  Hope you can do the rest of them.  I agree that Gordon Walker is a high point in most things.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I love that line - "Stop playing with my Jesus", and the way the actor deadpans it, HAHAHA!

Couldn't agree more on Bad Day at Black Rock. Such good stuff in that episode.

I couldn't remember a thing about The Devil You Know, I had to look it up! While it is a great episode, I have a love for Yellow Fever, even with it's fairly obvious bad plot. But Jensen being funny is a plus in my book. Though, Crowley does have some great lines in TDYK. I can see how this is only going to get harder.

  15. Hunted Quotes:  Winning quotes to the guests this time.  They got all the fun lines.

    15.  The opening scene14.  Sam:  "I'm not gonna just ditch the job."  Dean:  "Screw the job.  Screw it man.  I'm sick of the job anyway.  I mean we don't get paid.  We don't get thanked.  Only thing we get's bad luck."  Sam:  "Well come on dude, you're a hunter.  I mean it's what you were meant to do."  Dean:  "I wasn't meant to do anything.  I don't believe in that destiny cr**."  Sam:  "You mean you don't believe in my destiny."  Dean:  "Yeah whatever."  Sam:  "Look Dean, I've tried running before.  I mean I ran all the way to California and look what happened.  You can't run from this and you can't protect me."  Dean:  "I can try."  Sam:  "Thanks for that.  Look Dean, I'm going to keep hunting.  I mean whatever's coming I'm taking it head on.  So if you really want to watch my back, then I guess you're going to have to stick around."  Dean:  "B**"  Sam:  "Jerk."  13.  Dean:  "Gordon.  You do that to my brother, I'll kill you."  12.  Sam:  "My brother's in trouble."  Ava:  "What?"  Sam:  "He gave me a code word.  Someone's got a gun on him."  Ava:  "Code word?"  Sam:  "Yeah, Funky town.  Uh, he thought of it.  It's kind of a long story."11.  Ash:  "Done and done."  Sam:  "That was fast."  Ash:  "Well apparently that's my job.  Make the monkey dance at the keyboard."  10.  Gordon:  "You're no better than the filthy things you hunt…Do it.  Do it.  Show your brother the killer you really are Sammy."  Sam:  "It's Sam."9.  Ellen:  "Sam, I got to call Dean.  I got to let him know where you are."  Sam:  "Ellen, I'm trying to find answers about who I am and my brother means well but he can't protect me from that.  Please."8.  Ava:  "Ok.  So you're nuts.  That's great."  Sam:  "No okay, okay look.  Did your mother happen to die in a house fire?"  Ava:  "No.  My mother lives in Palm Beach."7.  Gordon:  "That's not what this is.  This isn't personal.  I'm not a killer Dean.  I'm a hunter and your brother's fair game."6.  Dr:  "And what made you decide to seek out therapy?"   Ava:  "I have no idea."5.  Sam:  "Anonymous tip."  Dean:  "You're a fine upstanding citizen Sam."4.  Gordon:  "Shouldn't take your shoes off around here.  You might get tetanus."  3.  Ellen:  "Now Dean they say you can't protect your loved ones forever.  Well I say screw that.  What else is family for?  He's in Lafayette, Indiana."  2.  Ava:  "OK, you know what.  Screw you buddy.  OK, because I'm a secretary from Peoria and I'm not part of anything.  OK, you see this.  I'm getting married in 8 weeks.  I'm supposed to be at home addressing invitations, which I am way behind on by the way.  But instead I drove out here to save your weirdo a**, but if you just want to stay here and die, fine.  Me.  I'm due back on planet Earth."  1.  Sam:  "You okay?"  Ava:  "Am I okay?"  Sam:  "Yeah."  Ava:  "I just helped you steal some dead guy's confidential psych files.  I'm awesome!"

  16. Jesus Hunter was one of my favorites.  I was so sorry when he died because he had such great potential.  The Devil You Know is the episode that always surprises me with how good it is in the rewatch.  Mostly because I adore Crowley.  I think everything is better when Mark Sheppard is on a show.  TDYK is the most Crowley-centric episodes we've ever had and Sheppard takes full advantage of that.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I'm getting ready to put up a Season 2 page with all the quote nominations on it so feel free to put your nominations in at any time.  When Adam starts the Best Show Contest, we will be pausing these polls so I hope it gives everyone a chance to get caught up on the polls.  I know I could use a slow down myself.  During quotes for 2 episodes a day is far more time consuming than I thought it would be.

    ReplyDelete
  18. sweet, that's good to know. :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. I agree that Mark Sheppard is one of the best recurring guest stars they've got for SPN (and nearly every show that he works on!) - and now I feel like I need to rewatch this one ASAP. But it'll have to wait. I'm forcing myself to keep in season order...

  20. Poll #1: No Rest for the Wicked - Shifts between my top 10 and top 20. Others will explain its greatness better.

Poll #2: Scarecrow, another top 20er. I loved There will Be Blood, but Scarecrow is all kinds of awesome.

Poll #3: Yet another hall of famer (#9 on my list) in...drumroll....Bad Day at Black Rock. I feel really, really bad for Out with the Old, and indeed all the losing episodes.

Poll #4: Yellow Fever the only poll I had to think about .

  21. I'm up to season 4 episode 15 in my summer rewatch, and looking forward to see the rest of S4, 5, and 6 again. I skipped S1, 2, and 3 only because of lack of time and how often I've seen the first 3 seasons. I may watch them later.

    ReplyDelete
  22. As long as you aren't including Yellow Fever in that, then yes, I made the same choices.  This is so much better than being brought to us by the letter C. (Yes, I have been around young children too often this week.)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Cool.  Where are you in the rewatch process?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Awesome!  I'm doing two episodes a day in conjunction with the quotes nomination.  However, I'm going to need to get Hermoine Granger's time turner soon because I need to watch all of season 7 again before the podcast.  Anyone have an extra 22 hours?

  26. ..MY FRIEND there was the TESTING EPISODE for the season 8 future story lines WE THE FANS SHARE there struggles and how they try to hide emotions specify DEAN we know how stubborn he is

    ReplyDelete
  27. I am at No Exit; finishing that tonight and hopefully getting through The Usual Suspects as well. I've been trying to do two eps a day but man, it's hard. I wanted to keep up with the quotes nominations but I fell behind over the weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  28. my friend you made your homework like you said in earlier post I WILL SEE BOTH EPISODES and FIND MY FAVORITES QUOTES ...( CLAP.CLAP )...A WELL DESERVE APPLAUSE

    ReplyDelete
  29. You're really close though.  I'm watching Playthings right now.  I thought since I don't like this episode it would be quick to do the quotes but there's a lot of funny one-liners in it.  Who knew?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yep, this time crunch is my own stupid fault.  However, if I am going to give myself homework I'm so glad its to watch Supernatural.  Beats algebra and science labs any day.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who loved The Devil You Know. SOOOOO many people were bitching about that episode and I just loved it... :D

    ReplyDelete
  32. I can see people not liking the retcon about YED and Jessica.  That was a little too much just to get a personal tie to Sam in my opinion.  But that episode is hands down one of the funniest episodes in season 5.  Combine that with action, mytharc, and more Crowley that can fit in 42 minutes and you've got one winner of an episode.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yes, close! Playthings - that one has some great brother-teasing! I love rediscovering with each episode, even the ones I don't consider favorites, that there is always something that makes me laugh, or something to enjoy. In all honesty I don't think I dislike any episode enough to never watch it again...even Season Seven, Time for a Wedding. :-\

  34. No rest for the wicked - an awesome finale;
    Scarecrow - the hard choice for me, because i really like the alpha vamp and also the "Edgar" was cool as well, but the Scarecrow with the introdction of Meg and the monster itself is flawless;
    Bad day at black rock - the obviuos choice;
The devil you know - the more Crowley the better :) I wish they would use Mark Sheppard more now in S8. Or at least in "Leverage" ;)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Welcome to SpoilerTV.  Glad to have you.  Thanks for commenting.
Can't believe someone else voted the same way I did.  I agree that the more Crowley the better.  So cool that you like Leverage too.  Can't wait until the season begins.  I miss Parker, Eliot, and Hardison on my screen.

  36. No Rest for the Wicked.
    A wonderful finale.
The last scene between the brothers was so heartbreaking and Sam's surprise immunity to Lilith bewildering.
I know I'm boring when I keep repeating that to have an awsome finale all that is really needed are that Winchester Brothers, but it's what I think.
Then Dean really going to Hell and seeing him spreadout with the meat-hook did exactly what it was supposed to do, surprise and horrify us, well it did me anyway.
I am among the few that enjoyed Time is on My Side but it can't stand against NRfTW.
    X
    X
    Scarecrow all the way.
I liked everything about it except of course Sam stomping off, but little brother redeemed himself in the self-same episode by saving Dean.
I don't mind the brothers arguing when it only lasts an episode and  then they make up.
I liked the story; the Scarecrow was scary and we get to see my favourite incarnation of Meg.
Then the phone call at the bus station between the brothers is one of my top ten little moments.
    X
    X
    Bad Day At Black Rock is just one of that handful of epic episodes that stand out from the others;
Gordon; The Jesus freak; the rabbit's foot; good luck and bad luck, John's mysterious lock-up ;( I've always been curious to know what else he had hidden away in there. Maybe they could have done an episode giving us flashbacks on some of the objects, telling us mini-stories about them ) scraped knees, lost shoes, Bela and her Siamese cat which only the best villans possess;, Batman, Sammy tied up again; :) horrible deaths.Wonderful :)
    X
    X
The Devil You Know gets my vote.
It's an episode I really like.
I just love it when we get back stories on the boys and I liked the Stanford sub plot.
Then my favourite scene is when the brothers are in the alley and Crowley leaves them alone, knowing that Sam can't wait to get his revenge on Brady.
I love how Dean stands back and gives Sam all his support in the taking of this vengeance, and the brothers utter the for me, the epic lines:-

    "DEAN
All those angels, all those demons, all those sons of bitches --They just don't get it,
    do they, Sammy?

    SAM
    No, they don't, Dean.

    DEAN
You see, Brady...We're the ones you should be afraid of."
This is my number one quote ever on Supernatural! It sums up everything for me. :)

I don't like Yellow Fever. I think the ghost story is painful.
There are some good brotherly moments and Eye of the Tiger is awesome, but other than that, not a memorable episode at all

    ReplyDelete
  37.  Glad to see that we are in complete agreement  this time. :)

    ReplyDelete
  38.  It was a great episode and very underrated in my opinion. :)

    ReplyDelete
  39.  If i remember you don't like Playthings too much but it's not a bad episode. It has lots of cute brotherly moments. :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. You're doing SOOO much better on the quote nominations than I am.  Don't feel bad.

    ReplyDelete
  41.  Yes, I think the quotes competition is turning out a bit more complicated than it seems simply because of the enormous quantity of said quotes.
It is a bit more involved than a simple button vote between two episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Croatoan.
Wonderful mysterious episode. We get more on Sam's demonic characteristics, and we see Dean's readiness to die alongside his brother.
    X
Sam: This is the dumbest thing you've ever done.

Dean: I don't know about that... Remember that waitress in Tampa?
    X
Dean: I just think we should take a break from all this. Why do
we gotta get stuck with all the responsibility, you know? Why can't we
    live life a little bit?
Sam: Why are you saying all this? (Dean walks away) No, no, no, no, Dean. You're my brother, all right? So whatever weight you're carrying, let me help a little bit.
    X
    X
    Hunted.
I still can't understand how such a great episode could lose by so much in a poll, but whatever!
    X
Dean: Before Dad died he, he told me something — something about you.

Sam: What? Dean, what did he tell you?
Dean: He said that he wanted me to watch out for you, to take care of you.
Sam: He told you that a million times.
Dean: No, this time was different. He said that I had to save you.
    Sam: Save me from what?
Dean: He just said that I had to save you, that nothing else mattered; and that if I couldn't, I'd . . .
    Sam: You'd what, Dean?

Dean: That I'd have to kill you. He said that I might have to kill you, Sammy.
    X
Sam: [after Gordon is captured by police] Anonymous tip.

Dean: You're a fine upstanding citizen, Sam

  43. 1.No rest for the Wicked.

    2.Scarecrow

3 .Bad day at Black Rock.

4.The devil you Know. I  thought this one was ok and truthfully never really liked Yellow fever.

I  am a fan of the earlier seasons so I  do tend to vote for them more .

    ReplyDelete
  44.  me too :)
I noticed that we agree on most of the things:)
Would also like to add that i am quite surprised to see the Scarecrow winning.

    ReplyDelete
  45. 1. No Rest for the Wicked - I think Supernatural has had some far better season finales, but it's still so much better than Time is on My Side. Lilith was so creepy as that little blonde cutie wearing a white dress, covered in blood. Plus, Dean went to hell which made me superexcited for season 4 to see how he actually manages to get out.

    2. Scarecrow - I had a little problem here, because I actually really liked There Will Be Blood, I love the Alpha Vampire. Scarecrow won by being a great example of the early-SPN horror roots.

    3. Bad Day at Black Rock all the way. My all time favourite Supernatural comedy episode, the only one that has me laugh from beginning to end.

    4. This one gave me the biggest problems, as I'm not a fan of either of the episodes. It's a matter of choosing the lesser evil, I guess. In Yellow Fever, the cowardly Dean was comedy gold, but I just hate, HATE the way they delt with that poor ghost at the end. The Devil You Know, on the other hand, represents my least favourite SPN period, the late season 5 with its heavy, overdepressing atmosphere. I'm also not a fan of the Brady storyline. To be honest, the thing I remember best from this episode is Crowley petting his hellhound ("I brought my own") and Dean's "well, good for youuuu". Apart from these two moments, the entire storyline from this episode was rather meh for me. So I don't know. Maybe I'll just give it to the pet hellhound then.

I really don't have time to go through the quotes now, just wanna say I LOVE Croatoan, it's one of my favourite season 2 episodes. And for me the winner is this moment:

(pointing at each other with guns)
    Dean: Put it down!
    Sarge: Lower it down!
    Dean: Put it down!
Sarge: Are you one of them?
    Dean: No! Are you?
    Sarge: No!
    Dean: You could be lying!
    Sarge: So can you!

    and then:
Sarge: What's going on with everybody?
    Dean: I don't know.
    Sarge: My neighbour, Mr Rogers...
Dean: You got a neighbour named Mr Rogers?
    Sarge: Not anymore.
    xD

I love it and it says a lot, cause as a non-American I have no slightest idea who the hell Mr Rogers is, I totally don't get the reference, but it somehow still manages to be funny for me. lol

I have no idea if the show is still on, or even if he is still alive, but it was a TV show that every American kid of a certain generation watched.  You've got to watch this video of the show intro.  It makes the quote even funnier.

  47. ...O.M.G  ...in this poll ..ALL the results was so predictable they was the best episode for each season so far for me

    ReplyDelete
  48. I have Scarecrow winning this round because There Will be Blood is less memorable.  However it will definitely lose the next round if it makes it to there.

    ReplyDelete
  49. It does take a lot more effort.  That's why when compared to votes we only get about 10% of the people voting to also put in a nomination.  I'm hoping that by leaving it open until right before the competition starts we will get more nominations.  That way as people watch episodes periodically they can be thinking about their favorite quotes from it.  The break with the Best Show contest will be very helpful too so I can get ahead instead of always playing catch up.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Nope not a fan.  Even drunk Sam is not as funny as I like to remember.  He's only funny for a line and then everything gets super serious.  It does have 6-7 really good snarky lines though and I tend to forget these in my overall meh about the episode.  That's the best thing about the quotes contest so far.  I'm finding golden lines in even my least favorite episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Great synopsis for why I voted like I did.  I should probably just put read this as my explanation. The phone call at the bus station was awesome because it said what it needed to say but in an understated way.  I miss that these days.  It seems like now when we have brother moments they have to be big angsty drawn-out speeches.  In this we see how each brother reacts, hear it in their voice, and then move on.  Perfect.

I also love that quote in Devil You Know.  I remember cheering when Dean said that and thinking, "Darn right."  It gave me the same feeling as Crowley's speech in season 6 about not underestimating the Winchesters.  everyone needs to be reminded that the Winchesters are the heroes in this story from time to time, especially the writers.

    ReplyDelete
  52. The ending of Hunted is one of the best of all time.  It took care of the Gordon situation without shutting the door on that fabulous character or making us go through yet another resurrection.  Plus it was a show of Sam brilliance.  I like when the brothers are shown to be smart.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Voted the same way.  I also tend to like the earlier seasons best with season 4 and 5 being my least voted episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  54. That is one of my favorite scenes in one of my favorite episodes too.  I think the Mr. Rogers line for me is funny because he was a kids' show host who started each episode singing, "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor."  That juxtaposition with the horror of neighbors torturing neighbors gets me every single time.  Pure brilliance on the writer's part.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I think the first round will be very predictable all the way through.  There were only a couple that gave me hesitation when I was predicting.  Things get much trickier in round 3 though.

    ReplyDelete
  56.  This must be my "agreeing" with Dahne day!

You know I would never have suspected that you would have gone for that quote in The Devil You Know. :)

When I saw that episode for the first time, it just stuck in my mind and for me it's awesome; first of all because it's said so badass-ily and convinced-ly in a moment when I was never expecting them to say something like that, and then because both brothers were in complete agreement on it, even the usually conscience burdened Sammy.

It's them that they should all be afraid of ! Go Winchesters!

    ReplyDelete
  57.  The brothers are smart, both of them.

Sam has channelled his intellect towards research and book-worming and Dean towards street-smarts and weapons and car mechanics etc.

Each brother has different interests but there is no doubting their intelligence, and although an extra hand is always useful in their hunts, they certainly don't need other people to impart lessons to them; they are quite capable of working things out on their own, and I hate it when the show makes them look stupid.

I agree about Hunted too, it has one of the best ending ever.

    ReplyDelete
  58. No Rest for the Wicked - There are only a few episodes that can come up against a season finale and win,and Time is on My Side is not one of them.

Scarecrow - Great, scary episode with awesome one liners. As far as There Will be Blood goes, apart from the ending with Crowley, the rest was kind of forgettable.

Bad Day at Black Rock - Ranks third in the best comedy episodes so far.Simply amazing!

The Devil You Know - Yellow Fever has some great scenes but The Devil You Know is way better as a whole. It had Crowley, which is always a plus, and they alley scene, which is one of the most epic scenes of the series.
"All those angels, all those demons, all those sons of bitches. You see,we're the ones you should be afraid of."

    Quotes

    Croatoan:
    - Duane: "Has anyone seen my mom and dad?"
      Dean: "Awkward."
(Which was so incredibly mean and yet,for some reason,I laughed so incredibly hard.)

    - Sarge: "My neighbor,Mr.Rogers."
      Dean: "You've got a neighbor called Mr.Rogers?"
      Sarge: "Not anymore."

    Hunted:
    - Dean: "He just said that I had to save you, that nothing else mattered, and if I couldn't I..."
      Sam: "You what,Dean."
Dean: "I have to kill you.He said that I might have to kill you,Sammy."
(John Winchester, ladies and gentlemen, the first character I had the urge to slap even after he was dead!)

    - Sam: "Anonymous tip."
      Dean: "You're a fine,upstanding citizen,Sam."

  60. In my country we call that Eeny Meeny Miney Moe.  Yeah, I think in some cases it will come down to that or wait until the end and choose the one with the least number of votes.

  61. Claps!  Yep, this.  If Dean and Sam were smart in season 1 and 2, able to figure things out and change directions on their feet, I'm not sure why some writers think they can't handle things in later seasons.  Go Team Winchester!  Be smart again!

  62. For me it's a good quote simply because for the episodes leading up to it, they were feeling quite the opposite.  In think one of the reasons why I like this episode so much is because finally, finally the Winchesters were giving some back.  All of season 5 was a dreary messy scope on self-doubt and hopelessness, well from mid season 4 to be honest.  The brothers had forgotten how awesome they were.  That they do the impossible.  To hear that quote out of Dean's mouth gave me hope that the depression twins would be departing and some kicka** hunters would take their place again.

BWAAHHH!  I could not agree more.  I thought it was impossible for me to hate the John character more than I did in Faith and then he goes and proves me wrong.  Man does he suck as a person.

  65. Sometimes when I really like both episodes and I can't choose between them, I wait and give my vote to the episode that is losing.  It's not that it will help it win.  It's more in sympathy that a good episode is going to lose.  Does that explain it better?

Sam: "Yeah. Roanoke. Lost Colony. Ring a bell? Dean, did you pay
any attention in history class?" Dean: "Yeah, shot heard round the
world. How bills become laws." Sam: "That's not school. That's Schoolhouse Rock."

Dean: "I'm going to say this one time. You make a move on him, you'll
be dead before you hit the ground. You understand me. I mean do I make
    myself perfectly clear."

    Hunted

Ellen: "Now Dean they say you can't protect your loved ones forever. Well I say screw that. What else is family for? He's in Lafayette,
    Indiana."

Sam: "Anonymous tip." Dean: "You're a fine upstanding citizen Sam."

  67. Disqus generic email template..my new from a distance best friend with all the respect to significant other o soul mate..I ..LOVE..YOU ..I never saw it that way but is true sounds so romantic poetic..(JA.JA)... may be is absurd but some times I feel little guilt because the spoiler rule don’t allow to vote to the same poll the next day to support the other episode and give him also a push for my part to help ..for me is not a honest fight is like a horse race sometimes the last horse the underdog win the race & these episode lost that opportunity is the way I feel.

  68. Thank you!
I mean, okay, lets just ignore for a second that he actually told Dean that he might be forced to kill his baby brother.Give an explanation! We have to assume that he knew a part of YED's plan, otherwise he wouldn't have said anything.
Basically,he told Dean to protect his brother without telling him what from and he also told him that if he failed he would have to kill Sam,but he didn't say why.
    Very,very helpful!

  71. Exactly!  I mean I know the man played things close to the vest before, but given that he knew he was about to die surely he wanted them to be the most prepared he could make them.  It's not like they could call him up later.  (Not that he'd answer the call if he were alive.)  I mean come on.  Forewarned is forearmed.  Instead he just left a proclamation contrary to everything he raised Dean to believe, ensuring that both sons would be wrecked in the head over it.  I'm with Dean.  "You think I wanted this?
Huh?  I wish to God he'd never
opened his mouth.  Then I wouldn't have
to walk around with this screaming in my head all day."
