  1. Aw, I was hoping it'd be the premiere. Oh well. I love when Jensen directs! Can't wait for his episode.

I'm glad Jensen's episode is not the premiere. If it was, it would mean that there wasn't going to be a lot of Dean in it. And, hey, right now Dean's storyline is what I care about. Also Cas, but I ALWAYS care ab out that.

  4.  They start filming again on July 10th. (I'm pretty sure that's the date.)

  5. I'm glad it wasn't the premiere. The 150th episode has to be something special, and while Jensen I thin is a good director, I'd rather have Carver write it.

I knew that this would be the case. Obviously at least episode 1 and probably episode 2 as well will be Dean heavy so it does make sense that he would direct one that doesn't have Dean so much in it.

  7. Given the few spoilers we've had for season 8, it seems the first few episodes are going to be jam packed. Robert Singer says Sam and Dean will be reunited on screen quickly so I'm guessing they will be very busy in those first few episodes. They will need both Sam and Dean quite a bit so Jensen directing wouldn't be good.

  8. not to mention the fact that there are other directors on the show who have worked hard, given their all, made the show amazing for so many years. Surely one of those would deserve the honour of directing the 150th episode?

  9. I'm happy for Jensen that he gets to direct again but I'm not invested in what goes on behind the scenes.

I just want to enjoy good episodes on screen, and to me it doesn't really matter who does what.

  10. Just like the last couple of years then....I was hoping it would be the premiere but okay.
So I guess Bob or Phil will helm the landmark...

  11. There's a good chance that this means that also 8.02 will be pretty heavy plot-wise.

  12. Good for Jensen!

It help supporting hellatus-purgatorus when you see those little intel and remember that the SPN team is already working on season eight while the actors take some rest or travel all over the world for the conventions.

Exactly. I think that the premise of the episode will be close to the episode Jensen directed in S7- ie Dean was in the episode but sidelined so the focus was on Sam. It just might be a little more Dean focused than 7x03 was but not so much. I just hope that the episode SL is a good one that fits in with whatever happens in 8x01-8x02

I would love it if Robert Singer directs the premiere/the 150th episode

  15. thought 150 was strange but tom welling did it in smallville

  16. He mentioned having to come back a couple weeks ahead of everyone to prepare.

..i know you are good investigate things ..jensen will show up in any convention in the following weeks

  18. Robert Singer or Phil Sgriccia are the two that are mostly likely to direct the premiere based on past season premieres.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah, usually the 2nd episodes are since Season 4.

  20. It makes sense that Jensen wouldn't direct the premiere as they always have heavy plots and both characters Dean and Sam are usually very involved in it. Directing and acting in a premiere would be probably more work than there is time available.

With Dean being Purgatory, I'm hoping to see some exciting stuff there before Sam finds a way to get him and Cas out.

  21. It would have been awesome for him to direct the premiere, but I'm good with this, too. And hey, getting to direct his episode at #150 is pretty cool, too.

  22. Third episode seems to be his.  Let's just hope he is given something better to work with this time and different writers.  He deserved better than Girl Next Door and the horrid Amy subplot mess.

  23. I'd like Guy Norman Bee.

  24. This makes me happy.  I just hope they are reunited in Purgatory so they can both fight monsters.

Oh that would be FANTASTIC!!! Then we would really get to see what Purgatory is like (or should I say how it resembles Vancouver :P)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I don't know where they will be reunited but I'm glad they wont be apart for long.

Robert Singer also talked about why Sam and Dean were separated, basically Crowley hates Castiel and he wanted to get rid of him, Dean was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Also he confirmed that Cas dissipated from Purgatory but that didn't mean he was gone, he will be back for a number of episodes but didn't say how many or when in the season. Another spoiler was that Sam will have a human storyline this season and not a supernatural problem. I think he was referring to Sam being the one on earth while Dean was in Purgatory but there may be more to it than that.

  27. If this means that Cas will not be in Purgatory with Dean, then I am really, really happy.  Let Cas and Sam work together for awhile.  I can see Crowley wanting to get rid of Cas but I'm guessing Dean's not going to be thrilled to be collateral damage.  Things should be tense between Crowley and the Winchesters and I find I like that story idea better than any other.  I like Crowley time.  Pretty fond of Sam staying away from supernatural problems too.  I think that's been a tad overplayed so all in all these all point to positive signs for me.  Looking forward to season 8 more and more.

  28.  The first spoilers out aren't probably all that reliable because who knows when Singer actually pronounced them, it could have been weeks ago, but the fact that Cas will be back for some episodes and that Crowley has it in for Cas sounds like a whole story arc on its own!

I hope that the emphasis will be put back where it belongs on the Winchester Brothers and not on the secondary characters again. However it's far too early to say but I just hope that the brothers don't get pushed to the side, that's all.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Until I see a synopsis, all this gets from me is a "meh."

    ReplyDelete
  30. Can't agree with you more. Al though, I support those people, requesting more brotherly moments, but this time I am really not planning to ask for anything. I would rather let the writers do, what they want to. I would be happy if they do anything else other than internet fan-service. I wouldn't even mind, if they keep brothers separated whole season.

    ReplyDelete
  31.  As long as the brothers have the main story-line, they can write all stories they want.

I just do not want the Winchesters to become secondary characters in their own show.

    Yeah I think so too

  33. pinkphoenix19857 June 2012 at 21:41

I wouldn't mind if he did direct the 150th but I'd prefer Singer or Sgricca for sentimental reasons ;)

    ReplyDelete
  34. If they decide give up internet-fan service, for sure, Sam and Dean are the primary characters of next season. If they don't, I guess you know what happens.

    ReplyDelete
  35. He seems do always do a good job

    ReplyDelete
  36. Writing and directing are two different things. Carver will be writing it no matter what as show runner always does.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I like him a lot too, but it's probably unlikely. Like I said, just basing it on the premieres past.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Kind of disappointed if Cas just got dissipated but if that means he and Sam work together to save Dean that would be great.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh I'm sure he's not directing this episode.  He's really good about tweeting his upcoming projects.  We'd know by now if he were directing the premiere.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Any episode Jensen directs will be awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  41. So excited about this news! Last time there was the picture where he sat in the chair and pulled his shirt up to touch his nipples! What's going to be next?

    ReplyDelete
  42. The whole season sort of seemed uneven this time...It was awesome of course because it's supernatural... But I did not feel it was up to the mark, same even with season 6... I hear the showrunner is changing, I think it's a good thing...I expect season 8 to be better...

    ReplyDelete
  43. I really liked season 7 from an episode by episode standpoint. It was better than anything from season 4 on to me. I do agree the flow was off and so was the mytharc. I have high hopes for season 8.
