Ashley Tisdale has been cast as one of the leads in Dimension Films' Scary Movie 5. The film is set to begin production this summer, targeting a January 11, 2013 release.

    No Anna Faris? What about other characters from the first 4 movies? If it's all completely new characters then no point in calling it Scary Movie 5

    It was reported a few weeks ago that Anna wouldn't be in this one. Most likely because she's pregnant.

    Not only is there no Anna Faris, but they replaced her with Ashley Tisdale????
    The movies were barely tolerable befor ethis. Now... I see straight to DVD written all over this.

    I think they are trying to be like Scream 4 in a way were they introduce a younger cast or something (didn't work to revive the Scream franchise probably won't work for this one either). Yawn, won't even watch it on Netflix.
