1 Jun 2012

Thanks to Mac for the heads up on the Poll from TV Line.

You can vote for up to 6.

78 comments:

  1. Claire Danes without a doubt, I will be surprised if she doesn't win.

    Glenn Close is always brilliant.

Anna Torv will never get one but damn she deserves it.

That's all I voted for, plently of other actresses that need some Emmy love but I think they will qualify for other catergories like supporting and guest star.

  2. - Glenn Close, Kyra Sedgwick and Mireille Enos are my super trio out of this poll ;) -  Then comes Anna Torv and Julianna Margulies ;)

Anna Gunn from Breaking Bad should be nominated..

    ReplyDelete
  4. Lauren Graham for Parenthood should be nominated (and in this poll)! I know she is overlooked every year and next time won't be any different, but she deserves it so much in my opinion!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Sarah Wayne Callies? Don't make me laugh!
It's all about Ellen Pompeo (GA). Also threw a vote to Ginnifer Goodwin (OUAT)

  6. Anna Torv along with John Noble deserve some overdue nominations, but I think that Claire Danes is probably the favorite, and I'm certain that Glenn Close and Kyra will likely garner the noms as usual..

  7. Julianna Margulies and Anna Torv, definitely. Then Sarah Wayne Callies, whose understated work made Lori Grimes tense and complicated. Teetering on the line are Jennifer Morrison and Mireille Enos. Mireille played a determined and depressed woman with a flat affect that fit the part. But she showed what she can do last week in her therapy session. Jennifer Morrison was fine, but I would have chosen EQ Lana Parilla over her.

  8. I want these to get nominated;
    Julianna Margulies
    Emmy Rossum
    Katey SegalMirelle EnosElizabeth MossAnna Torv

  9. Am I blind or there is no Sandra Oh in the poll? She is so underrated, should've won a couple emmys by now...

  10. #01 Miss Torv
    #02 Anna
#03 Anna Torv... Euhm wait there is one right??? Okay! Anna Torv, who else?? :P

  11. My first 3 choices would be Claire Danes, Homeland, Mirielle Enos, The Killing and Katey Sagal, Sons of Anarchhy. They are fantastic actresses and those 3 shows would not be the same with out them.
I have never seen an interview with Mirielle Enos, I wonder how she is in real life.

I also like Anna Torv ofcourse.

  12. I agree with this i would totally voted for Sandra Oh!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Sandra Oh totally deserves a nod for everything shes done this season on GA. i mean seriously, SERIOUSLY!! come on guys!!  vote other and write her name in it!!

I would have voted for Lena Headey 'Game Of Thrones Cersei'. I think she has done a superb job this year.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Claire Danes!! She is amazing!
And Anna Torz did a great job.

    ReplyDelete
  16. 1) Emily VanCamp
    2) Kerry Washington
    3) Ellen Pompeo
    4) Ginnifer Goodwin

    anna torv. she is amazing!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Mariska Hargitay from SVU, she really did an awesome job this season. Her acting  was over the top

    ReplyDelete
  19.  Sandra Oh is considered a supporting actress.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, and...WHERE THE HELL IS STANA KATIC?!? D:

    ReplyDelete
  21. Claire Danes - Homeland
    Anna Torv - Fringe
    Glenn Close - Damages
Katey Sagal - Sons of Anarchy
Julianna Margulies - The Good Wife
    Elisabeth Moss - Mad Men

If this were the final list for the Emmys, I would just die from overdose of awesomeness.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I thought the same thing until I realized she's a supporting character...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Other: Stana Katic. I hate that because Castle is a Dramady, Stana Katic will never be considered. Just too bad, because Stana plays drama so much better than most. The Emmys people needs to branch out a little and get Dramady included, cause so many actress misses out, because they're in Dramadies. Just saying...

    ReplyDelete
  24. Just 3 for me in order Anna Torv, Claire Danes and Glenn Close

    ReplyDelete
  25. Sophia Bush from One Tree Hill! She was good in the final season!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'd substitute Elizabeth McGovern for Anna Torv and I think that may be the final list...

I love FRINGE and like Anna Torv, but I just do not see her being nominated. Not sure she deserves it honestly.....

    ReplyDelete
  27. totally agree and then some :)
She should get one for each rendition of her character!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I really loves Stana Katic's portrayal of Beckett with PTSD(I spelled it correctly?) on episode 4x09 "Killshot"... I was very surprised by this actress...

    I vote for her...

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think Claire Danes will probably win (and I think she would deserve to win), but I'm really rooting for Anna Torv :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. Claire Danes, Julianna Margulies, Kyra Sedgwick and Anna Torv.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Glenn Close, Damages
    Claire Danes, Homeland
    Julianna Margulies, The Good Wife
    Madeleine Stowe, Revenge
    Elisabeth Moss, Mad Men
Jennifer Morrison, Once Upon A Time

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sentimental favorite for me is Anna Torv. Although, I don't think she'll get even a nomination. She should've been nominated back when she did 3 renditions of her character. She's done a great job.

Glen Close, Kyra Sedgwick, & Claire Danes are obvious nom's imo. Among this group, I think Danes deserves the win. Plus, Marguiles has become 'ole dependable for the win in this category for way too long. Give some love to new blood, eh Emmy's?

I would've thought Sandra Oh deserved the Grey's nomination over Ellen Pompeo. Oh's a great actor, probably the best on the show. Wonder why she's always overlooked? Pompeo does some things well, but Oh is consistently good. And I'm not even a Christina fan that often. I like Meredith's character more. But the acting goes to Oh.

Also, for Once Upon a Time, I thought the Evil Queen's Lana Parilla did a better job than Jennifer Morrison. I actually have never thought J. Morrison was a good actor. Wasn't impressed on House, and on Once, Morrison still seems wooden too often. Just my opinion, guys. Please don't flame me. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Claire Danes She was brilliant in Homeland

Anna Torv- For every version of herself

    Julianna Marguiles-just incredible

Lana Parrilla-she deserves to be up there, more than Jennifer,or Ginnifer

Sandra Oh- another one who deserves it,she kicked ass this season

    ReplyDelete
  34.  If I could write a shorter post, it would be yours. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  35.  I agree with you about Sandra, the reason she isn't up there is because she is considered a supporting actor.
And really how could Lana not be up there, she was great as the EQ,i didn't think Jennifer nor Ginnifer had an outstanding performance this season....

    ReplyDelete
  36.  Boo,hiss,boo,hiss..... ;)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Seriously? Too bad. Then I hope Oh gets a nomination & win for the supporting actor category.
As for Lana Parilla, yes, she totally deserves at least a nom. Hmmm...are we allowed to "write in" more than 1 name in the "Other" category? I just put in Sandra Oh's name, but forgot to mention Parilla. Lemme try adding her now.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I agree with all on your list. Although, I personally think Marguiles doesn't need ANOTHER Emmy. And there are equally deserving people in the category. Please, Emmy voters...acknowledge Fringe!

    ReplyDelete
  39.  LOL yeah, if  Julianna wins anymore she can start having her own award show! I also forgot to pick other and write in Lana's name lol....where's my brain?

    ReplyDelete
  40.  LOL,okay where's your brain,lol....

    ReplyDelete
  41. Michelle Dockery is incredible!
I guess Lena Headey would be supporting?
    Elisabeth Moss
    Claire Danes
    Anna Torv forever

    ReplyDelete
  42. Jennifer and Gennifer should get nominated, Debra Messing has been amazing on SMASH, I want to see Megan Hilty get a nom because she's just outstanding. I know we'll get the usually so hopefully these women will get nominated in their respective catagories.

    ReplyDelete
  43. No i dont want Enos to get nominated. This is my final list;

    Claire Danes
    Emmy Rossum
    Katey Segal
    Elisabeth Moss
    Anna TorvJulianna Margulies

    ReplyDelete
  44. I voted Other - Stana Katic, she definitely deserves a nomination at the very least. I don't think there are many actresses in Hollywood that could pull off acting with PTSD.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Went for some obvious ones that are awesome, like Torv and Marguiles and Moss. But I also have to give a nod to Katey Sagal. She's fantastic and horrendously overlooked. What she does with that role is astounding.

    ReplyDelete
  46.  my guess is megan would be submitted in the supporting actress category.

    ReplyDelete
  47. the cw doesn't get recognized at these kind of award shows. which is absolutely ridiculous. because there are some truly great performances on that network. most probably aren't to par with the usual nominees, but there are a select few on the cw who deserve recognition.

    ReplyDelete
  48. this is for lead actresses. sandra would be submitted in the supporting actress category.

    ReplyDelete
  49. claire danes will most likely win. but i at least want to see emmy rossum nominated. that's the only thing i want to see. well, that and sandra oh winning the supporting actress emmy.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Lana Parrilla is also considered as Supporting

    ReplyDelete
  51. Not sure she deserves it, eh?

You're excused this time. Don't post crap like that in response to my choices please.
    :)

    ReplyDelete
  52. Lana Parrilla is so missing in this Poll (maybe because considered as Supporting?) so I voted other

    ReplyDelete
  53. Anna Torv, Emily VanCamp, Madeline Stowe & the Downton Abbey ladies.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Really? I swear, the line between Main & Supporting is getting blurry to me. Both Sandra Oh & Lana Parilla seemed like main cast members, in terms of camera-time & amount of story they get. I'm chalking this up to Hollywood-voodoo-magic. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  55. Well in as much as I know the actors and actresses can decide on their own in which category they want to compete...
Just look at Elisabeth Moss: In 2009 she submitted in the supporting actress category, in 2010 in the lead actress, then 2011 in the supporting actress category again and this year in the lead again.

    ReplyDelete
  56.  That just sounds fishy to me. The award shows need to have prequisites to be considered for each category. They shouldn't just let the actors decide which ones they wanna be in. Thanks for the info!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Stana Katic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Totally agree about Sandra Oh, although she's supporting.

Also agree 100% about Jennifer Morrison! Wooden as a plank!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Cloris Leachman, the wacky, wonderful Maw May on Raising Hope, submits herself as "guest actress" although she's in most episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  60. In no particular order:

Ellen Pompeo, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Emily VanCamp, Madeline Stowe, and for 'other' I put Lana Parrilla.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Wow I don't watch any of these shows except OUAT so I voted for those two actresses.

    ReplyDelete
  62.   Hahaha, maybe Julianna doesn't NEED another Emmy, but, boy, does she
deserve it! :D She's brilliant, I do hope she wins anyway. ;)

Also voted for Jen & Ginny on OUaT, but I absolutely agree with
laura3341 that Lana Parrilla deserves the leading drama actress Emmy
much more than them. Oh, well, she should at least take the Emmy for
supporting actress for this season. :)

They'd better realize their mistake and credit her as a lead for the second season though! :P

    ReplyDelete
  63. anna torv! coolest agent ever!!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Seriously ? Anna Torv is THE ONE, The Best actress ever.
But we all know that she will never get a Nomination. This isn't right. Please, guys, if you don't know her, you have to see her acting, this is so brilliant ! *_*

    ReplyDelete
  65. For me it's all about Claire Danes she was beyond fantastic in homeland! I also think Emmy Rossum deserves a nod she was great in Shameless and I think she gets looked over a bit.
Kerry Washington was pretty great in Scandal.
I think Claire will run away with it though.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Anna Torv, Kerry Washington or Claire Danes.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Anna Torv without a doubt

    ReplyDelete
  68. I just went with Anna Torv cos she is the only one of the lot of them that I actually adore. I do watch OUAT but neither Jennifer or Ginnifer impress me so leaving them off. Still say Lana Parrilla should have been in this category. Now that is a lady I would definitely have voted for. She is phenomenal as the Evil Queen/Regina and I hope she is put forward in the Best Supporting Actress category. Also where the hell is Stana Katic.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Agreed about Julianna and Jen & Ginnifer. Lana deserves it so much more. But if you look at the difference in how Lana is doing in relation to Jennifer & Ginnifer it's uncanny. Lana is now in the lead (by a smidge) but a lead nonetheless. Jennifer & Gfnnifer not doing so great. And I know these polls probably wont be taken into account but I think they are a good indicator of peoples opinions. I know it's a bit of a pain and she does deserve to be in the lead actress category but I really think this could be a really great decision. I can see her at least going forward a nomination. Not sure she will win but a nomination is a huge deal. When are these Emmy nominations announced anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Agreed I hate the way certain shows and actors are overlooked at the Emmy's. I would love to see Anna Torv win. She is amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Again Stana Katic, my god she acted her a&* off this season, seriously Always and Kill Shot just brilliant!  I know its dramady which is too bad.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Claire Danes number 1 for homeland best show for 2011-2012
