So, what do we have here? A Bailey-wannabe, a protagonist who's a child of an ungodly union between Meredith Grey and April and Mean Girls in a hospital setting. All of those things alone are quite good, but together...? Well. I think I might still be willing to give this show a tiny slip of a chance, but it doesn't look good.
awwww I've been waiting for this preview.. for some reason, I have hope for this to be "a fun escape" esp. the two leads are sooooooo adorable.. & this preview looks like my hope is in place :D
Okay so I've been on the fence about this show from the get go. I wasn't impressed with the consept, like AT ALL, but the casting had me at least curious to see how it turned out. And I have to say execution-wise it seems to work. It looks cute, with good acting and could turn into something really sweet and enjoyable. I've begun to be way more interested in it with every little bit more that I see.
Mamie Gummer is going to have to carry this show for a while until it finds its footing because this looks really raw.
- I guess this will be the CW medical show that has actual medical stuff in it. :P - The characters played by both male regulars (Justin Hartley, Michael Rady) come off very flat. - The woman playing Emily's nemesis (Aja Naomi King) is also not very dynamic. - The voiceover stuff is VERY hit and miss. - Hopefully this show will make good use of Necar Zadegan. She was a good cast addition. - It was surprisingly refreshing that instead of giving us an all too typical love triangle to start things off that we get a flat-out rejection.
Seeing this extended promo hasn't changed my opinion any. The show looks iffy but I'll be checking it out to see what Mamie Gummer can do with the lead role.
This trailer looks MUCH better than the 30 second promo spot and the sneak peek clip that was released immediately after the upfronts. I might actually give this show a try.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
How soon we'll see Cult Extended Preview?
ReplyDeletei really like this preview! i kind of see myself in her, except i'm not a doctor.

ReplyDeleteNothing new in that thing, especially if you watched Grey's Anatomy.
ReplyDeleteOK it doesn't look as awful as it sounded, but I still think I will pass.
ReplyDeleteThis show will never be able to shake the Grey's Anatomy comparison.
ReplyDeleteNothing new but it looked cute

It looks fine. The whole jock, stonner, popular kids concept was funny. Kudos CW!
ReplyDeleteIt looks ok. I like Mamie Gummer - she's the main draw for me.

ReplyDeleteYay Jack Coleman! Finally! :D
ReplyDeleteMore voiceover stuff on the CW.... yeah not my kind of show.. I'll pass
ReplyDeleteI think it won't really have the voiceover. The previows of Hart Of Dixie last season also had Zoe's voiceover, but not the episodes.
ReplyDeleteThe CW has already posted a clip from the pilot that contains some inner-monologue voiceover from the main character.
ReplyDeleteI know it's easy to compare it to Grey's but I see the bits of Scrubs that I loved so much. And I'm a sucker for medical dramas. This looks good.
